Terrace is my go to theatre. It's small, vintage, welcoming and just plain cool. The small intimate vibe might not be for everyone but I recommend you give it a shot. Not only do they show the recent flux, but they have special events for cult classics frequently. Including a Rocky Horror advent where vendors are in attendance and costumes are encouraged. This theatre offers alcoholic beverages, popcorn and candy of course, and service that goes above and beyond. There is a reason they have been voted the best theatre for the last 11 years in Charleston. I recommend you check it out for yourself, though.

One of the best local movie theaters! This place is unique, adorable, quirky and offers a great (not overpriced) concession stand for popcorn and drinks. I've seen a few great movies here like Labyrinth, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Sinners with family and friends. Highly recommend!

We spend SO MUCH time here. I'm not sure how I've not written a review for it yet. We watch scary movies, A LOT. The terrace is always our go to spot. The service is amazing. The people who work in there are so friendly and actually know about the movies they are showing. When you walk in you are transported to the perfect place to watch movies new and old! Also if you love a wild live performance check out their Rocky Horror Picture show they do every month! It's a wild evening with great company.

Terrace is such a staple for the Charleston community. Cheap movie tickets, smaller theaters, and the cozy feel of watching a movie at home but in public. Every time I see a movie at the Terrace I feel so lucky to live in Charleston and to support a local theater that gives the community a third space.

This theater is the best! Comfy seats with good cupholders. All the best films. The World's Bsst Popcorn! My only recommendation would be PLEASE put lids on the wine cups I got a double Malbec but was dressed in heels for a character, and a good few sloshes were lost as I traversed the stairs to Theatre 1. That aside, no complaints. Best theater ever!

We love going to terrace theater on Maybank. It's a boutique movie theater, it's so cute inside. I've seen like 3 movies here and would always recommend it. We love the small feel of the movie theater. Parking can kind of feel a little bit limited, but you can always find a spot if you go a certain time it be nice to go a little bit earlier and check out bar George or some of the other places to eat around there but they also serve drinks at that movie theater, which is fun and have popcorn, other snacks and goodies. I would make sure to be going not during a rush-hour just because Maybank can get very busy, it would be a fun spot for date night with everything surrounding it.

Manager Amy is unprofessional, unstable and should not be client facing. I am pregnant, running on no sleep this was my fun way to get out of the house... never in my life did I expect to try and walk into a movie and be yelled at to the point of leaving in tears only for accidentally bringing leftovers into the theater after we had dinner next door. The words, "Ha what's he going to do?" Actually came from her mouth as I was trying to ask an employee her name, not knowing she was somehow the actual manager. We didn't know it was not allowed and frankly didn't even think about it. Gladly would have left it wherever was appropriate had we known. Bummer considering this used to be a regular date night spot for us. Kevin helped us get a refund since we no longer felt comfortable resuming our date night there... other staff members apologized as we left due to the irrational display of emotions from Amy.

Buyer be aware ! Granted i went to see a Disney movie in a very tiny theater! I am 60 and should have known better! This cutest little 3 year old girt kept putting her hand on my shoulder and her mother could not control her children! The 5 year old was elbows on my other shoulder! He wouldn't shut up! The reality, to expect parents to control their children has been a challenge for centuries! ! If you are over 60 and this bothers you don't go to a children's movie! Lesson learnt. Especially on New Year's Day!
