me and my mother came to see "Inspector NoClue's murder mystery show" and it was an absolutely fabulous experience! would recommend to anyone visiting charleston. the cast embodied their characters perfectly and interacted with the audience very well. definetly stopping by next time im in charleston!!

This place's humor reminds me of high school improv and that isn't an insult. It was super goofy and almost reminded me of home in a way. I think it's neat that you can volunteer to be in the play as well. It really makes you feel like a part of the team. Really cheesy at moments if you like that! Easy to talk to people here.

This was a really fun evening! Go early because there's food to be ordered and a game to play. The show itself is extremely audience participatory. I'd say 75% if the audience members had lines to read. I'm glad I wasn't one of them because I probably would have been so worried about missing my cue that I wouldn't have been able to focus on the play! The story was pretty silly, but it was fun seeing my husband jump up randomly and play a part. I'm sure others felt the same way about their friends and family. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and you have several opportunities to order. I was so pleased to have something as simple as peppermint tea haha! Also got the ice cream and cookies. Would be really fun to go with a large group!

This was so fun! It was my first time going to a comedy show where audiences participate. I even volunteered and have a speaking line. Everyone was also very nice. It was a good crowd and the actors were amazing. Will definitely come back for their other shows when I find myself in Charleston!

Darryl has done it again! Another home run hit in opening The Impossible Murder at Captain Jacks Flap Jack Shack tonight! Honored to have been able to attend the premiere of this family fun Whodunnit Murder Mystery event. Yes, not just a show... A true event, as audience take part in unraveling the web along with the cast. Kudos and Bravo to the cast-- Sherry, Brandon, Kerry & Roby! What a fun time the entire audience had... From participator to spectator, cast and crew alike, laughs abound and rang out throughout the entire show from top to bottom! One of the things that brings pure joy is being able to look around at the audience and share the joy of laughter; I'm talking ages six to ninety-six! Also, the amazing waitstaff in Krystal and Sasha-- they provided drinks and eats to a packed and sold out house without batting an eyelash! Glad there's an intermission because I would be be able to choose between the Queso Whodunnit & Chips or that GF Chocolate Death Volcano Cake... Can't believe it's Gluten Free!!! So good! Especially with the Chai Vanilla Tea. Always an enjoyable and memorable experience, but tonight was absolutely tops! Congrats on your 13th going on 14th year, Wades! (There's a reason y'all have been around for so long and will continue to be successful-- bringing wholesome, funny, family-friendly entertainment to all ages young and old!)

My husband and I decided to visit The Black Fedora Comedy Mystery Theater to watch Inspector Noclue. This is an interactive experience where guests participate in the mystery by reading parts from a script. More than half the audience had parts which made this so fun. If you don't wish to read a part, the audience still participates in other ways. The actors were amazing and engaged everyone. It was such a fun experience as this was a murder mystery and a comedy. Food, desserts and drinks (including wine and beer) are available at reasonable prices. There is a gift shop where you can by tshirts and souvenirs. The seating is small tables and there were about 40 people there when I visited. Great service, great prices and an amazingly fun performance. I highly recommend.

What a fun time! We were being tourists in beautiful Charleston, walking, eating and going on a carriage ride. I saw in 'things to do' a mention of the Black Fedora Theater. It's in the French Quarter. Murder mystery/comedy/interactive - what could be bad about that? A little pub like building. Small round tables in a room for maybe 50 folks, decorated in fun mystery paraphernalia. They also have a small 'shop' area to sell items. You can buy drinks & snacks & desserts at very reasonable prices. So - be prepared to laugh, read some lines in the play (if you want to) & all around have a great evening.

This was a fun entertaining evening. Not very expensive, but definitely filled our evening with laughter and conversation. It is a silly, entertaining little playhouse that has interactive cast. Meaning that the audience is included in this murder mystery and it is a lot of fun. I wish the space was a little bit larger but if it was larger they would probably just pack more people in because, the more people you have the more fun it is. Lose your inhibitions and come and join in the fun. Great night out for a great value

Very engaging and superb indoor entertainment for those extra cold or rainy days. The staff performs the comedy mystery show and volunteers from the audience make up the extras. They hand out lines with great detail so pay attention and you'll do fine when it comes to acting/reading out the part. It was entertaining to have folks get into it and have fun with the scenes! The bar has drinks with some food and desserts if you're feeling peckish. Good for groups and I liked how they gave shoutouts to birthdays and anniversaries.

We loved it here. The service was great, crystal is so sweet and helpful. All of the actors/actresses are wonderful and so kind. We went for Inspector NoClue's murder mystery show. It was so fun and I love that there's audience participation. You don't have to participate if you don't want to but honestly it was so much fun participating. It's a cute little venue and it's very comfortable. It wasn't too hot or too cold inside and they were also kind enough to call me when I forgot my sweatshirt LOL. All in all we had a fantastic time and would definitely come back if we ever visit Charleston again.
