I mean, I was not expecting much. But the potholes in the sketchy looking parking lot threatened a vehicle that I bought for off-road driving as I pulled up behind the van with blinking lights heralding a U.S. presidential candidate who probably isn't on the ballot. A stray cat meandered by as I weaved through the debris to get to my room. Checking in was a bit of a struggle with a non-working printer and their fridge of non-complimentary drinks was broken as well. By the time I made it to my room, it was little surprise that the first light switch I found did not turn on anything. The air conditioner turned on (after I plugged it in) and ran without any discernible settings to adjust before the thermostat on the wall finally jumped to life a few minutes later. The whole place was remarkably unclean and gratuitously low-effort. I was trying for a quick, cheap stay before a flight, but this was too cheap for me. I left with questions about what the base level standards are for licensing a hotel. After a night of tossing and turning on a bed with all springs and no real blankets, I found no receptacle to deposit a keycard in, and I got out of dodge, with someone sketchily following me as I escaped to the main road. I should have just paid a little extra for a not great but serviceable motel, or found some solution other than making a reservation here that was a sunk cost by the time I realized what I'd gotten myself into. Literally just about any other option would have been preferable.

This place at 1144 bush rd, in columbia sc, needs to be closed, its the worst hotel ive ever been to. Every reason you can think of that would cause you not to stay somewhere is this place, i beg you, dont do it, you will be sick and ill. I request total shut down as soon as possilbe.

This was the nastiest, seediest motel I have ever seen in my life. I say that without exaggeration. I immediately asked for a refund after seeing the room, which I got because they apparently have like seven cancellations a day. Even if I couldn't have gotten a refund, I would've preferred to have slept in my car at a rest area than to stay there. I felt the place was beyond just undesirable for visitors, I felt it was legitimately a health hazard.

Not sure what people are talking about, the location was very good for us. It's right off the I-20 freeway (we came from ATL) but there was very little freeway noise. Yes, it's a little tricky to find the way in, but our GPS took us right there (just head towards the Chick-fil-a then look for the Starbucks). Room was great (we did have to ask for a luggage rack because we both had suitcases and one of us had to use the desk) and the sheets clean & soft. Staff was always pleasant (had not so pleasant staff in Nola a week later). The hot breakfast had a lot of choices: cold cereal, eggs, grits, shredded cheese, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, OJ, hot coffee or tea and make-it-yourself waffles (which was always being used). At night there's a full bar and the dining area was comfy, with a fireplace I assume gets turned on when it's colder. There's also a small convenience store next to the desk selling food, beverages (incl. adult ones) and various sundries. For other dining options, literally next door is a Starbucks, BBQ place (really good) and a Sub Station II (local sub shop). On the other side of that is the aforementioned Chick-fil-a and across the access road both a 7-11 and a Burger King, with Micky D's & Taco on the opposite side of 378/Sunset Blvd. In fact, my only complaint is that they don't make it clear that the outdoor pool is seasonal and had been closed recently (it would have been pretty nippy). Oh, and it took several attempts to get both of our key cards to work at the same time. My partner had to work during the day and had no complaints about her wi-fi reception, which must be pretty strong because she has to use secure protocols (corporate attorney) which eats up a lot of bandwidth at home. It was just 10 mins from the zoo and riverside park where I went for a great ride on my bike and also 10mins from all the stores and eateries of the Irmo/Harbison area. In the summer, Lake Murray is 9 mins directly down SC-32 which the hotel is next to. The gym looked stocked with towels, there was a wedding that weekend and I was offered the use of the conference room when I needed a quiet place to just chill while my partner did her work. What more could you want out of a hotel?

Horrible hotel. Sheets have cigarette holes, and rooms are disgusting. We slept in our clothes and couldn't wait to check out.

I would not recommend this motel to anyone. The location is not in a safe environment and the Customer service, it's very poor. The room we were put into the floor you are falling through it when you walked in the door so we moved to a different room and what appeared to be blood on the bedspread on the bed we. Refuse to stay there and left

This by far was the worse motel I have stayed in in a while. The toilet over flowed. I had to buy a plunger myself. I couldn't get help at the desk. The floor was filthy dirty. I found bugs running around when I got up the next morning. On a positive note the heater worked and the internet was fast the short time I used it.

Not happy. I booked three nights and, boy, I wish I had only booked one. It's a flop house. Which is fine. I stay in flop houses all the time. As a general rule, it doesn't bother me. Except the internet sucks. I had to use my mobile hotspot to do my work. And the water temperature and pressure sucked. I had to let the shower run for almost 20 minutes to get to anything close to warm. So, you can imagine, I wanted to jump in and out as quickly as possible. But I couldn't because the water pressure was very weak and it took forever to get the shampoo out of my hair. I didn't even try to condition it. The room was surface clean. But I talked to some of the residents (not guests because they live there) and two of them found used needles in their rooms. You don't want to stay here.
