My partner and I recently bought a house and the folks at VEO have been amazing helping us figure out our oil and propane tanks. Mike R. spent extra time inspecting our oil tank to determine if there was a leak. (There was not. Phew!) He talked me through two different solutions of switching from oil to propane for heating and hot water. He explained everything clearly and walked me through what they would need to do. Mike R and Jimmy came back and moved our cooking propane tank so it was safely away from the dryer vent. Jimmy even moved our (very heavy) stove out of the way so I could clean behind it. I'm so glad I called VEO. Being a new home owner can be stressful, and they have helped to alleviate some of that stress!

UPDATE: Mike F. and Jimmy came back to install our new wall hanging boiler and remove our old oil tank. They were fantastic and did a great job. They took great care to make sure everything was hooked up and installed correctly, that we were happy with everything, and understood the new system. We even had heating and cooling people in after them for a different issue and they remarked on a what great job they did. 10/10 recommend VEO technicians!

1/6/25 We were away for the weekend and on return found out we had no hot water , it was a Sunday , checked the gas tank in basement and noted the flashing green light was  not blinking. Read the directions to relight pilot on the tank yet , not able to . Decided to call Sunday , spoke to on call tech whom talked me through relighting the pilot , initially lit then went out after a few minutes, failed due to water in the area and tank. Following day called veo made an appointment early am , technician "Jimmy" arrived shortly , really helpful , kind , patient and understanding. The propane water heater was replaced within a couple of hours . Very happy with the service  and quick results , he provided. thank you Jimmy.
I want to add a thank you as well to Donavan the on call tech that returned my call Sunday and talked me through lighting the pilot , would like to mention as well his concern regarding the water in area and the fact that the pilot light went out shortly after igniting . He suggested turning gas valve off for safety reasons and to follow up in the morning . Thank you , for the safety concern and help with attempting to get the pilot light resolved over the phone  he saved me $500 weekend service charge. Thank you..

Stay away from VEO. Always excuses about why they can’t deliver. I have been a customer for over 12 years and getting the runaround from everyone that answers the phone.

Your problem is that you cannot pickup the tank and send a refund for the unused propane as promised. Hopefully your records are now clearer.

I look at all the 5 stars this Company gets on Google then I see 1 star.  I say to myself how can everyone be satisfied in life?  After seeing this one star I want to give my view point since I have been a customer for over two years.  First and Foremost Ian, Pat and Mike are just outstanding people in general.  They have a good heart and are all game to treat their  customers like family.  I have a multi family home in the town of Fallsburg I have had nothing but amazing service.  Not to say when I had issues at 2 am and the temperature outside is 5 degrees, the boiler boys of VEO put there tool belts on and were at my home within an hour.  They are professional and courteous and some of them really just break it down for you to understand what is happening when they are done with the job.  They have great prices trust me on that.  I was with Fallsburg Gas, CEO of Monticello they were complete opposites of this family owned business.  They gave me good prices to only have the following years make up it to them with no deals and bang out prices to hit your wallet, thinking you are not going to check.  Unlike me I do Check since I order over a thousand gallons of fuel each year.  That is how I found VEO good prices and great service.  One other note last year I had a problem with my boiler which it took time to figure out what was wrong with it and VEO came every time to my home till they got it done!  By the way they backed up the price as well to make sure I was not hurt during all the visits they came to.  To the person who had an issue with VEO not sitting here to target anyone about VEO what they feel.  But I would say give them a chance speak to them they are more than willing to give a hand.  Everyone has a bad day including me and you.  To Mike, Ian and the gang at VEO I would like to wish you all a happy holidays and a sweet prosperous New Year. VEO lives up to it's slogan a family business which treats it's customers with the upmost respect and great pricing.  Let me start with my house was built in 1962 and my Chimney was falling apart.  I called VEO spoke to Mike Foster regarding putting an instant hot water and heater for my home.  He put in a Lochnivar boiler and hot water system.  The system has been running for over a month.  Hot water is running amazing for 4 showers with no issues.  Winter season is coming lets see what will happen.  I will update this rating sometime in the winter to see how the system is working.  Anyways the piping was all redone the system is so quiet you do not even realize it's there on the wall.  I gained so much space in my boiler room as well.  I was so happy with the work that they completed that I had to just stop by and say thank you to the owner.   Eli who runs the place, Patrick, Tom and of course Michael Foster VEO Propane division manager.   To all the gang at VEO thank you for all you do and the pricing you came in at beat all the competitors that I got quoted for.  You are really amazing company.  PS My hot water was not working out of no where.  I was like dam there she goes this great instant hot water system.  Called VEO within 30 minutes Tom shows up at the home checks the system everywhere and says I do not understand?  He then looks at the breaker and notices its off,  LOL.  No power no hot water.  I said Tom I did not do it.  I said let me check my nest camera which is installed in my boiler room.  I did and found my contractor turned off the breaker.  So good job for the quick response and getting it up again.  You guys are the best, thank you!
