Surprised by the number of low ratings this Tex-Mex chain in Brentwood receives. Maybe my experience was an outlier. I am a musician who tends to spend two or three days using Brentwood to stage gigs in the area. I'm not a chain type of guy, but on the road, sometimes you have to lower your standards. With so many places in this area are crazy busy, I was looking for something close to my hotel for lunch, as I had a gig that night and it was the middle of the afternoon. I sat at the bar and the waitree waiting tables was also running the bar during this post-lunch period. I thought, "I wonder how this will go." No need to worry. As soon as she took care of one of her tables, she got me a great Bloody Mary and gave me a menu I was in the mood for nachos as I hadn't had them on the trip. The loaded nachos with chicken were hearty (I had leftovers for later), the chips were fresh and the salsa and guacamole were tasty, as was the chicken, sautéed just right. My waitress was outstanding. Though she was busy, she made sure I had what I needed including a beer to cap my meal. I'd definitely give this Chuy's or another location a go in the future!

This spot is about as TexMex as you can get . They have a lot of options on the menu. From enchiladas to tacos to taquitos nachos you name it it's probably on the menu. As I was reading, they seem to be most famous for the burritos that are very large. I am an enchilada lover, so I opted for a platter that had three different enchiladas. One was cheese and onion. One was beef and one was chicken. Each of the three were served with different sauce preparations . You have the choice for sides between two rice options, Mexican rice or green chili rice. I opted for the green chili rice since I have Mexican rice all the time. The green chili rice was a little bit on the dry side . The flavor of the enchiladas were good, not great. It was a bit greasy in the tray . It was served along side refried beans that were flavored perfectly. I did order takeout as I was staying in a nearby Nashville hotel, and didn't feel like the dog and pony show of dining alone. The one thing I can say is the portions are enormous. They also on the top of the bag put a bag of chips that would've fed a family of four. They also give you some salsa options. It came hot from the delivery driver . I definitely would try this place out again if you're in the area and looking for the Tex-Mex vibe. All in with delivery from Uber eats it was $27. This is definitely affordable option for takeout.

Sergio was such a good waiter! He made sure we had everything we needed and was a fun super nice guy! Def made the experience better than we've ever had the previous experiences. Food was super fresh and the vibes were not bad for as busy as it was! Everyone seems like they are doing their job!!!

We entered Chuy's at noon and no one was at the hostess station... we waited 10 minutes and someone finally showed up. Way understaffed and it definitely showed in the service. We were a party of 5 and 2 were given the wrong order twice. We finally just said we'll eat whatever you brought since half the party was done eating. Unfortunately our waitress could be the best server in the world, but being understaffed reflected very poorly on her and her tip. We won't be back. Don't make your customers endure your understaffing issues.

The service was fantastic! Our waitress was so friendly and made the experience great. We got a few drinks and some small bites. It was all delicious--Mexican food with an American twist.

I frequent the other chuy's location in Franklin, so this was my first time at this location, so I know what to compare it to. The service was quick, waiter was friendly, and food came out lightning fast! The restaurant needs a refresh! Decor and seating are tired and not welcoming. It doesn't have a warm, inviting feel AT ALL. The bathrooms need a deep, deep clean, as does the restaurant. The booths are very comfy, but outdated-looking. Food was hot, tasted great, but portions were noticeably SMALLER than the other location. We always have leftovers, but the protein was much sparser. My water was also WARM water, weird. I would highly recommend the manager caring a little more about how his servers and staff 'appear'. Most of them looked unkept, unclean, and this always makes customers feel their food may not be handled with the utmost care. Not having greasy hair as a server, bus-boy, or staff is necessary!

Really haven't had Chuys since we left Austin... been about two years. This location was pretty close to where we were staying so it was super convenient. The chain certainly remains the same though. Even with the two year hiatus it felt like we had never left. Like a daytime soap opera we had not watched in 2 years we were still able to pick right up where we left off. The place was busy and our server was hopping but she never missed a beat. I love the queso and the salsa here... I could dine on nothing but the chips and salsa just about. My wife loves the guac... so we ordered it all. It was as remembered. We all ordered our old stand buys... tacos for my youngest, flautas for my oldest, fajitas for my wife and I got the enchiladas... they were all good but honestly a little less good then we remembered. Chuys is a good place to eat... we still like it, but can't say we are longing for it any more. Maybe another two years...

Service was okay. The food is also just pretty good. I definitely prefer more of the local ratchet Mexican restaurants more. However, I do like the amount of food you can get for $16-$18. Vibes are also pretty good.
