Well, I should have listened to the other reviews. Booked my rental almost a month in advance- only to show up to be told that they don't have any cars at all. I feel bad for the employee as he said he only found out that morning that they don't have any cars when he was promised they would be receiving 10 cars. He couldn't tell me exactly when they would be getting any cars in either. He handed me corporates phone number to call to see if they have any cars available at a different location. Not only was I on a tight schedule for the day- but now I had to spend time making phone calls to Avis corporate office (who then told me to call Expedia since I booked it thru them). Anyway, canceled my reservation with Avis and went over to Enterprise. Tough lesson learned. It would have been nice if I had a heads up about them not having any cars (even though my reservation was confirmed)- this way I wouldn't have to waste an entire day in trying to make new car rental arrangements.

If I could give less than one star I would. After reserving a vehicle nearly two months in advance with a tight travel timetable on the day I was to pick up the car, I woke up to a text telling me the original location for pickup had changed to the Madison Park location and my vehicle would be available there after 11:00am. Per the instruction I took an Uber to the location, arriving at 11:10am. Inside the office there was a woman behind the desk and two women in front, but the door was locked and upon my repeated knocking they would not open. Another gentleman also stood nearby having had the same experience. A sign on the door noted the office closed at noon on Saturdays. I called the number noted in their text and the representative assured me they would allow me in soon to process my rental. This never happened. First one woman left out the back door. Ten minutes later the second woman left out the back door. I approached her and asked if she was picking up her rental car...no response. At 11:50 the lights went off and the woman behind the desk left out the back door. I approached her with my rental reservation documents and she put her palm to me and ran off. I called the number in the text again and they told to call AVIS (this was the number they provided for AVIS) With no vehicle and out in the middle of a suburb somewhere I ordered another Uber for my friends and I and we went to the Nashville airport hoping to find a vehicle there for our drive to a dinner event in Dahlonega, GA that began at 5:30pm (a 4 1/2hour drive) As it was spring break weekend AVIS had no cars at the airport and vehicles available at other desks were quoted at $300+ per day.....nearly 3X my original reservation price. It was now past 1:30 and any hope that we would make the drive in time for the dinner was fading. So we purchased 4 one-way tickets to Atlanta at a cost of $380 each and found the last vehicle Budget had at Atlanta airport for $250/day. I have repeatedly attempted to contact customer service as well as James Bryce,EVP of Customer Service and Joe Ferraro, CEO and the only response I have received is a form letter apologizing that the designated make and model reserved may not always be available(my issue was than no car was available!). I included a detailed timeline of events, a screenshot of the text I received from AVIS and all receipts. This is customer service at its absolute worst and a complete lack of corporate responsibility! DO NOT TRUST AVIS!!!!!

One star. Showed up, and they gave away my car. I now am without a car to drive out of town to get to a meeting. "I gave away your car" "What do you mean you gave away my car, it was booked and paid for" "Oh, it was paid for?" "Yes" Oh, shoot.

I would leave 0 stars if that was an option. This location is horrendous. They gave me a dirty car that smelled like cigarettes and the check engine light was on. Then when I went to return it they tried to charge me a $250 cleaning fee after I called corporate multiple times. Go to the airport location instead.

Just had the most amazing experience I got an upgrade to an SUV last week! My rental was clean and had no issues. The staff was very nice and accommodating when I needed an extension on my rental. I will definitely be renting again this month ;). Also forgot to mention they do place a hold on your credit card but that standard practice in the rental business, I got back my deposit from the first rental & am confident I will get it back on this extension.

Corporate Avis will say that this location is notorious for never closing out accounts at 7 days so be expected to get charged way more a week and also bill twice the same week. Be careful when you bring a car back and they still charge you and give you so much bullshit. You have a car so close the account instead of keep charging them. Crooked business. To many complain about this and nothing is done on the corporate level. plus all the Indian people you talk to on the call center can't help it cause they just work there so dont take anything out of them. Don't care how desperate you are. Don't come here! Dealing with them on the phone will drive you nuts. And they can never close a 7 day account and screw up all your money.

Extremely unorganized and unprofessional. Uses if they know people to rent to only, and generally discriminatory and annoyed if they don't personally know you. Rent from anywhere but here if you value your respect, dignity, and money. Listened to the employees gossip openly about other employees. No decorum, no candor, the last place on Earth you want to visit to rent from. Additionally witnessed the black gentleman tell and whisper to a young lady he was attracted to that he had personally upgraded her coverage and services, and made sure to attend to her every need. It was nothing less than creepy and misogynistic. I've also filed a BBB complaint. So many things unprofessional that I can't list them all here.

I rented a car from Avis downtown multiple times, including last week. It is located across the street from the north east corner of Nissan stadium. I reserved on line. This location is in partnership with the airport location, without the airport concession fees. With car reservations, the airport location delivers the car to this location. When you get there, there may not be opportunity to upgrade because the fleet is only for what is reserved. The service, and computer entry, seems to be incredibly slower than at the airport. Pros - located close to downtown and fairly convenient, no airport concession fees. Cons - check in seems to take an extraordinarily long time, they do not have standard maintenance at this location, so if you need windshield wiper fluid, you are SOL. If you need repairs or fluids topped off to the car, you are SOL. There are no cars at this location to switch out.

Super easy rental car place to get in and out of. All the people that worked here were super helpful. Kind people and good service! Plus they upgraded me to a larger car at no charge. Couldn't have been more happy with my service.
