1. Cat lovers, this one is for you! Show them a photo of your cat and get 10% off. Now, to the food... They were out of chicken so let me preface this review with the fact that I only experienced the crunchsmash. I'm sure the chicken was amazing because they sold out of it 2 hours before closing! The truck is parked out back behind a divey pinball bar and there are some rickety tables you can sit at. It was pretty packed and we had kids with us and a lot of people were drinking so we just ate in the car. It didn't detract from our experience! Kids and adults all agree the crunchsmash was unforgettable in the best way! It hits a little bit of everything.. salty, savory, tangy, the pimento cheese lends a little sweetness, and I don't know what reaper ranch is but we liked it!

Food truck with some old picnic bench seating outside a little dive bar. They were out of chicken when I went. Bummer! So I got the crunch burger instead and it was surprisingly delicious! All the weird combinations just worked.

great chicken, spicy and lots of flavor from the spice rub, it gets very spicy so would go conservative on the heat level. pesto pasta salad was delicious. food truck, you can bring the food into the tiki bar next door

Delicious. Friendly. Affordable. They gave me a cat discount for showing them my cat. The only negative I have here is I wish they were opened longer and more days cause it was hard to catch them during their open hours. I'd eat here several days in a row if I could. Tenders were large, the level 4 spice a good heat. The pickles seemed homemade and delicious. Gotta get extra of those next time. I have my eye on that chicken sandwich.

Brave Idiot was a very accurate name as the spice levels are pretty high! A lot spicier than Hattie B's. I got the level 4 for the hot chicken sandwich and while the chicken was very tender and juicy, I do wish i could have gotten a 1. Overall, the staff is very kind and I would return (but just order less spice)!

Welcome to the best hot chicken in the city. I got a level 5 and it was perfect. Not too spicy, but still a little kick, great flavor, perfectly cooked- crispy and moist. Please do yourself a favor and go to brave idiot. They have a "crunchsmash" a smash burger in a crunch wrap. I have got to try this.

IMO, Chicken Sandwiches are assumed to be white meat, a chicken breast. If you are going to use a chicken thigh instead of a chicken breast, please specify it. I spent $70 on four hot chicken sandwiches that unfortunately went in the trash.

Stopped with my mom and sister while in town for a wedding. The chicken was good, but the crunch smash was amazing. We ordered take out online and it was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. Nice staff and easy to grab and go. I would stop again!

Eating the hot chicken sandwich at Brave Idiot made me really think about how unfortunate it is that the biggest names in any industry isn't necessarily the best. The battle for fried chicken market share is fierce, and Brave Idiot is definitely offering a work of art to anyone who knows where it is. I had the hot chicken sandwich with the hot tots and the pesto salad, and it was the best first meal in Nashville I could've asked for. Personally, I don't think I would like pimento cheese on its own, but it worked on the sandwich. The chicken was spiced and fried perfectly, with a flawless bite every time. The tots were so addicting, I couldn't stop. I'm guessing it's the same seasoning as the chicken but not totally sure. The pesto salad was an amazing side and offered a bit of creamy respite from all the spice while not feeling heavy at all. All the workers in the truck were so friendly. Was able to chit chat with them for a bit during a quiet moment. You can take your food and eat it inside the bar it's parked next to or grab a table outside by the truck on a nice day.
