We had the misfortune of meeting the self proclaimed owner, who was rude to us from the start. Slow service and the cherry on top "this isn't the bar for you". Yeah, maybe it would be if you didn't have dogshit for brains. There's no excuse.

Choppers is a great spot! It's a low key spot in the Old Hickory Village with cheap drinks, great service, and a full menu if you're hungry! The owner waited on us and made us feel right at home after a long day. I'll be back for sure!

I am in complete shock about what me and my friends experienced last night at this establishment. We are all hard working professionals who live in the area, and two of us go to Choppers regularly. Tonight our group was almost immediately targeted by the other patrons and staff. It started with a fellow customer and her boyfriend/husband mean mugging our group almost immediately upon us coming in. This couple then complained that we were repeatedly bumping into her elderly mother, who by the way was taken out to a CROWDED, SMOKEY, bar until 1AM! We apologized for any unintentional bumping but the couple could not let it go. THEN the bartender (AMBER) took the karaoke microphone to call out our group, which was so inappropriate and unprofessional. If we happened to bump anyone, it was obviously accidental and due to the fact that it's a Saturday night, the bar was very crowded, and this couple occupied two whole tables and 6 stools for themselves. The couple continues to talk trash, so we decide to leave. As one of my girlfriends walks out, the woman at the table aggressively follows her, making threats and calling her all kinds of names. Her boyfriend/husband then gets involved and takes it to a whole other level, getting physically aggressive. At this point, all we were trying to do was get out the door to leave because we were being completely ganged up on by the couple, the bartender (AMBER), the woman in charge of the karaoke, AND some other customers. One member of our group left her sweater on her chair inside so I went back in to get it. It was not on the chair, so I looked around the bar for it (minding my own business). The bartender (Amber) and some other woman LITERALLY followed me so closely that they were basically breathing down my neck. I finally asked them if I was doing something wrong by looking for my friends belonging. The sweater was nowhere to be found and Looking back, Im confident it was stolen in the 5 minutes we were outside. My friends husband attempted to walk in to help look but was aggressively confronted by the couple, staff, and some other customers. I paid my way through undergraduate and graduate school working in the service industry. I've lived in many different places and frequented to countless restaurants/bars. NEVER in my life have I experienced this level of barbaric behavior, not only from other patrons, but from STAFF! It's so sad because we live in the neighborhood and have spent a lot of money at Choppers, including always tipping very generously. We will NEVER go back and do plan to hopefully get in touch with management; however, based on the way that place appears to be run, I have little hope that management will be of much help. I very rarely use yelp to leave comments and when I do, it is typically to praise an awesome experience that I have had. If you are not a "regular" at Choppers, I advise you to stay far away because you will likeLy be targeted the way me and my friends were last night. Absolutely APPALLING.

This is such a fun little dive bar with the best hot wings and burgers I've had around. The fried bologna is to die for! This is my favorite spot to enjoy a great local atmosphere with alot of friendly smiling faces. The bartenders are always fun and friendly as well. If you're coming into Nashville from out of town, this place is a must STOP and worth the drive. I highly recommend!

Unless you are a "regular" you are not welcome here. It's a very scary and hostile environment especially if the women are the slightest bit intimidated by your appearance or think their husband/boyfriend is looking at you which happened with my friend.
