Jag tyckte det var en riktigt god middag. Trevlig atmosfär. Började med ruccolasalladen. Enkelt och gott med EVOO och havssalt. Jag åt hälleflundra och min fru åt den speciella som var gnocchi. Båda var mycket bra. Servicen var utmärkt. Det isnt billigt, men vi har haft vår måltid och kommer tillbaka.

Jag håller med om att DeLuca inte kommer att vara kvar så länge. Vi gick för första gången för middag som en familj. 
"Brödet" var inte bröd. Det var bitar av vanlig, smaklös pizzadeg. Den serverades inte med någon marinara, olivolja, balsamico. 
Våra måltider var ok, inte bra och vi kände inte att priset var berättigad. 
Vi kommer inte tillbaka.

Det var ett bevis på den missriktade hybrisen hos män som söker förgylla en vissnande lilja med den tunga handen av inbillad storhet. Så De Luca är ersättaren för Porta Via, en älskad restaurang i Nashville. Jag gick med en vän på middag ikväll. Mycket nedslående! 

Det första negativa är att de berättar hur man ska klä sig för att äta middag i deras restaurang, något på den klädsamma sidan. Sen går jag in och ser varenda anställd, chef och ägare i bluejeans och sneakers! Allvarligt talat, när behövde Nashville någonsin tala om för någon hur man klär sig? 

Maten: Jag hade INSALATA DI FRUTTA. Det fanns ingen frukt i salladen, okej, och räkorna såg kokta ut, men de var råa. Inte säkert att konsumera. Chefen ville fixa det, men jag ville inte sakta ner middagen för andra (och det gick långsamt). Efter att ha förhört om hälleflundran, sett till att sous vide var stekt någon gång för säkerhets skull, 20 minuterå senare kom servern ut och sa i huvudsak, ledsen att vi inte kan göra det. Sedan valde jag tagliolinipastan (faktiskt nudlar; den innehåller ägg). Senare serverades den numera vegetariska middagen. "Nudlarna" kokades långt mindre än al dente, och de var bara rumstemperatur. Även om smaken var ganska bra. Det är bara det att de flesta av oss gillar riktig pasta, och vi vill ha den tillagad, inte hårt hela vägen igenom. 

Allt var extremt dyrt för vad det var. Och brödkorgen på 10 dollar var inte italienskt bröd som man kan tro. Det var uppskuren pizzaskorpa serveras vanligt. 

Allvarligt talat DeLuca re - tänk vad du gör och sluta förolämpa din kundkrets med en dålig imitation av härliga middagar! 

Och förresten, jag kommer från en gammal italiensk familj. Jag kan skilja på bra italienska och Nashville.

Bäst att du går till den här anläggningen snart. Det kommer inte att göra det i Nashville TN. Vi åkte dit och uppfyllde inte deras klädkod så vi tog våra $ 150 och gick till Maggiano’s och hade en underbar måltid. I Nashville får du en chans att göra ett gott intryck på beskyddarna.

Vi besökte denna nya italienska pärla i hjärtat av Belle Meade. Maten var fantastiskt tillagad och trogen smaken vi hittade i Italien. Server var mycket kunnig och guidade oss till en fantastisk måltid.

Vi såg fram emot en äkta italiensk middag, vilken besvikelse. 
En i vår grupp fick capresesalladen jag vet att tomater är utanför säsong men dessa var mosiga och smaklösa direkt från kylskåpet ett litet basilikablad till garnering var det enda med smak, det delades med bordet vi alla girighet det var smaklöst. En annan förrätt var bläckfisken över något osäkert men bläckfisken smakade mycket som tonfisk igen en besvikelse. Två matgäster hade carbonara det var annorlunda thats säkert de inte bryr sig om det heller. En förrätt av hälleflundra var så överkokt salt och blöt att det var oätligt medleyt av grillade grönsaker var överkokt och sidan av svamp smakade mycket fet och som om fisk hade tillagats i samma panna. 
Vi kommer aldrig att gå tillbaka mycket dyra middagar bortkastade. Jag har varit i olika delar av Italien flera gånger och har njutit av äkta italiensk mat borta från turistområdena och kan ärligt säga att jag aldrig har smakat mat som vi hade ikväll någonstans.

Denna nyöppnade italienska restaurang är inte värd hypen. Vi delade en otroligt liten portion gnocchi med väldigt lite bolognesesås. Vi hade beställt spaghetti för att ersätta gnocchi och var tvungna att byta den. Smaken var medelmåttig. Jag bad om röda paprikaflingor för att krydda den, men de hade inga. Våra vänner delade en stor, 3 ost pizza, mycket blå ost. Menyn är mycket dyr. Vi var inte imponerade av atmosfären eller maten.
