Hattie B's has become so popular, but it's still a must have when in Nashville. Luckily this location was near where I was staying, so I placed an online pick up order and drove over. It was ready in 10 minutes and pick up was super quick and easy. Definitely do this even if you're dining in as there's always a long line to order here. I ordered a Medium Hot Fried Chicken with Pimento Mac & Cheese ($12). Everything was packaged and labeled so nicely. I do wish they gave a bit more cole slaw for the sandwich, but still good. I did eat this sandwich in a side by side comparison with Pepperfire and I have to admit that I found Hattie B's to be a bit more dry, small, and less flavorful. Despite that, I still think it's a great hot chicken sandwich if I had it alone. But the real star here is their fried chicken and mac & cheese. The mac and cheese is so cheesy and creamy, especially perfect with the sandwich. Although I didn't order it this time, I definitely recommend their fried wings --so crispy, juicy, and flavorful. Hattie B's is a must when in Nashville, nuff said. Luckily, they've got a number of locations throughout the city including the airport for you to enjoy.

Expensive and hot. If you are over 50 even the lowest heat ranged Southern Style is too hot. A side of Black eyed pea salad? Whoever heard of that? This salad was floating in a white sauce and had bits of red and green pepper in it (I guess that's what it was. The collard greens had a hard taste. The coleslaw was good. I had the Southern Style grilled fingers and ate half. Most everyone at our table did not finish their chicken. The drink selection is good. My wife had a salad and waffles (more like pecan pie) and I had Southern Style fingers and sides of Coleslaw and Black Eyed Peas and it was over 40$ at lunch. What went well: the sides. Good gosh. Every side item we tried was phenomenal! The red potato salad is GLORIOUS. And so was the pimento mac & cheese! My sister loved the greens and we both gobbled down the peach cobbler. I found it disingenuous for the medium hot chicken to have a one flame rating on their menu when it was really too hot to enjoy. Medium is also touted as their most popular which makes it seem like a house favorite and almost like a starting point. I like spicy foods and this one was too hot for me to enjoy. So EVEN IF YOU ENJOY MODERATE SPICE LEVELS-- maybe start lower than you think you need here. We wasted so much chicken and money here because of that. If it wasn't for that, then I would have absolutely been able to rate this higher. Also: their ranch is prepackaged which was a big disappointment. If you like chicken then you know how important a good house made ranch is. We enjoyed the seating here -- lots of indoor/outdoor options with or without direct sunlight and I loved that. The staff here were kind and friendly. They serve Coke products so you know I love that with a refill station to help yourself. Double love! All in all, would come back for the sides alone.

Wow! Medium heat was great!! Made my nose run! definitely great hot chicken Tennessee style! My waiter Seth was just awesome and very attentive! He even suggested some in Austin, TX which I will be reviewing when I get there!! They played great music btw.. and it's set up like a chicken coop. Hehehehe loved it!! If you haven't been... GO!!

We HAD to try the famous Hattie B's during our visit to Nashville this weekend and it did not disappoint! Since we can't handle much spice, we opted for the mild level and ordered the half-bird which comes with both white and dark meat. I loved the creamy potato salad (which balanced the heat from the spicy chicken) and the mac and cheese sides. Plenty of seating and parking at this location and the food came out pretty quickly!

Love Hattie B chicken. Order at the counter and they will deliver your food to your table with the number assigned. Usually do hot but this time I got the medium heat. It was good without the sweating. Open seating area. And outside are nice.

This is the best Nashville hot chicken I've ever eaten, number 1 parking is free, where as downtown location parking on the street is impossible and parking garages and lots have no attendant, so when using your phone to pay can be a nightmare. However I digress, I stumble on to this particular location 6 years ago and I swear I couldn't wait to return here to get my fix of chicken. The service is friendly and the place is very clean. I got the 1/4 bird medium heat pimento Mac and cheese and cheddar grits, the food was just as tasty as when I tried it the first time. I highly recommend this Hattie B's. You won't be disappointed. I Truly wish I could put this restaurant in my pocket and take it back to New York, no one does hot chicken like Hattie B's.

This is my favorite location; mostly because it is the first I visited. Not a fancy building, located on a busy street and rudimentary seating. Perfect, because I came for the hot chicken. If you want something other than chicken, you probably want to try some other place. Hattie B's does chicken: strips, sandwiches and birds. They have a selection of sauces to make you taste buds kick into overdrive. While I get the "hot", I think it is simply that, not excessive and not anything less. Great flavor to whatever bird strikes your fancy. Hattie B's also has a nice selection of appetizers, desserts and drinks. The pimento mac and cheese is good and the fries are always hot and crispy. On my last visit, I had an adult Icee. Get a buzz and an ice cream headache in the same cup. To me, this is a must stop in Nashville. Other places imitate "Nashville" chicken, this is the real deal. Check out this location and skip the downtown lines!

My boyfriend and I are on vacation here and we're very excited to try this place as everyone says it's a must try! Extremely disappointed! I ordered the chicken sandwich with potato salad as my side and he ordered the chicken tenders with the Mac and cheese and fries. We also got the beer cheese sauce. My sandwich tasted good but my chicken was hard and so chewy. I had 2 bites and stopped eating it. I ate the coleslaw and bread, lol. The potatoe salad was good no complaints there. My boyfriend got medium spice and said it was a bit spicy for medium but we also are not used to southern spice so maybe that's on us. The Mac and cheese again is just good. The fries alone were ok but with the beer cheese it was sooooo good! I'm very sad because we lost an entire night because i suspect I got food illness from Hattie B's. I was nauseated and in so much pain. My boyfriend also had an upset stomach but not to the degree I did. Went to bed with an upset stomach that nothing could make better.

Had a chance to have lunch at Hattie B's Charlotte yesterday. I have to say it has been a while since I had been and sorry I waited so long to return. The staff was amazing friendly, courteous and very efficient, the food came out very quickly! The atmosphere was great on the patio beautiful summer day. I had the brand new Chicken Salad and what a GREAT addition to the menu. It was fresh, crisp greens and plenty of toppings! Shredded cheddar cheese, bacon, Sweet corn succotash and cornbread croutons. So delicious I did not even need the dressing !! I had mine with the grilled chicken tenders medium heat, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. I definitely have a new favorite on the menu!!
