I cannot recommend and praise Genie and her crew enough. When we had a bad experience with American Airlines and missed our international flight, Genie took charge and helped us get a new booking for the lowest possible price. I've learned my lesson of not trying to plan trips on my own. Having an advocate like Genie on your side is totally worth it. She will definitely be my go-to for all future trips. Genie Herron is a GEM! My wife and I wanted a special anniversary getaway to someplace we've never been but didn't know where or how to start. So, I contacted Genie, gave her our range of dates and budget and mentioned that we preferred a non-touristy Caribbean destination within a half day travel from Nashville. Within 2 days, Genie sent me 6 amazing options, all within our budget. The only difficulty was choosing which one. We ended up at a small resort in Antigua and it was the best vacation we have ever had. I added up the cost of the trip if I had booked myself directly and somehow Genie saved us about 15%. I will NOT be booking my own vacations going forward.

Genie and her team took my call one morning and invited us to work through our emergency travel needs. A devastating late arrival caused us to be hit as no-shows for our international flight, which cancelled all of our subsequent flights for the next two weeks (yes, on both sides of the round trip) with one blow. My wife and I showed up at their door, hats in hand, as we had no refund for our trip to see my wife's sister's wedding in Italy, and no way to get there. Genie and her team worked their magic for hours, sifting through European options for flights, navigating possible city departures, and never once treating us anything other than gold - even though we dropped in almost unannounced. This team also knew where to avoid - how to link up with the best deals of course - but also how to work through the small things that no online deal can offer. My wife and I learned, for example, that Slovenian airlines and transport options have not caught up with the recent tourist demand, so we should consider flying out of Venice or Milan, and they kept looking until we found what we needed. So, after hours of work, they then caught another hidden fee - baggage fees on the Italian and Portugese airlines - and got us discounted rates because they caught it before we reached the airport. They found a Miami-based flight (that we didn't see) that was $400 to Milan - leaving the.next.day. They told us about day hotel options at the Miami airport we might want to check out before our international flight, that of course, we didn't know about. You can't get that online people, even if the fare is there, it's hard to connect all the dots, best airport tips, etc, for multi-city travel. When we were distraught, having an agent sort through all this was a powerful experience and prevented us from being mired in disappointment. There's a lot of value in not having to sit for hours on different websites as you try to do it all yourself, risk losing your best ticket prices as you're not quick enough to solidify your whole trip, especially as you're dealing with the emotional pain of your ruined plans. After all that, we got a round trip to Europe, starting the next day, for less than we would have paid if we had booked three months in advance. What did we pay for all that service? A small transaction fee. For three hours of nonstop work between a team of two experienced travel agents. So, consider all this as you think about whether to work with Herron Travel in Nashville. They are about a block from Centennial Park on the West End side. They know their field. They're kind. They're good at what they do. Travel is all they do. And you should call them or visit them about your next trip.
