As my old review is from 8 years ago at this point, it seemed like it was overdue for an update. I've seen other shows here in that time, most recently this month as my wife wanted to catch the Empire of the Sun concert. It's still far from my favorite venue in Nashville, but it's older aesthetics kind of evoke nostalgia more than cries of "outdated" to me at this point. It feels permanently trapped in the late 20th century for sure-- interior paintings of Kiss and Judas Priest feel recent, as if (I know the latter is still touring) those acts just played to celebrate the release of their latest classic album to teenagers who paid $20 for tickets and waited in line at the box office of the venue to do so. If you're going to be GA on the floor, this place is as good as any. If you're going to be in the stands, hope for a show that isn't completely sold out as it can get very cramped (particularly if you're on the taller side) if you have neighbors on each side. Luckily for us, the floor was full but the stands were moderate and I had room to stretch my legs + stand as wished. Sound here was surprisingly good. It's smaller inside than I remember, so most views from the stands are solid. Entry was fast this time around, staff was super friendly and welcoming. We didn't buy any concessions, so I'm not positive how much a drink will run you these days but my 8 year old complaint about $11 beers seems funny as nowadays a comparable drink at Bridgestone or the like may run you close to double that. Parking lots in the area are a bit cheaper than they are near the newer, hipper venues (like The Pinnacle, Brooklyn Bowl). All in all--not a venue I ever seek out intentionally, but one that I'll definitely go to for the right show.

Worst venue ever. I have been coming here for over ten years several times a year for cheer competitions. The security is so strict it takes forever to get in. Waiting outside for an eternity in cold and rain so a can of pringles doesn't get in is ridiculous. Only venue that does this. Line wrapped around building. I can see the door now. Only been in line for 45 minutes.

First time at this venue was last night. I saw A Day to Remember with The Story So Far, Four Year Strong and Scowl. The venue is conveniently located in downtown Nashville. There are many parking lots/options around the area. The seats are small however, not friendly for my 6'5 fiancé to sit in unfortunately. The venue is large inside which I was surprised about but the concession options were meh and very over priced for what you get.

I've been to The Municipal Auditorium several times before but this time it was just perfect! Although it was held at Municipal Auditorium, (who also did the baggage security and restrooms) EVERYTHING else was done by The Belonging Co. And I think that was the missing ingredient to perfection! The Belonging Co volunteers and staff anticipated every need and every minute detail. The level of professionalism that would be nothing short of Oscar worthy. The check-in process, TBCO Security, Guest Services, music, lighting, Kids team, Youth team, Mother's station, Lounge area etc etc... Everything was just perfect!!!! Hope Darst, Kari Jobe and Natalie Grant brought a slice of Heaven down to the Municipal Auditorium this weekend along with the worship team from The Belonging Co. If you've ever been to a Christian concert, imagine getting down with The Best of THE BEST cos that's what TBCO Conference 2022 was. And the greatest part of it all - various churches from all denominations gathered together for one purpose; to glorify Christ in unison. Thank you Pastors Alex & Henry. Nashville may just be the next era of revival post covid.

This place is a ghetto excuse for a venue. The doors were supposed to open at five for this concert, but they didn't open until 45 minutes later and there was a massive, and I mean, massive crowd outside. We missed the first act and barely made it to the second. Inept and rude security. Minimal bathroom facilities for almost 10,000 people. This place is a joke and should be shut down.

Definitely an older venue. My first time here was earlier in the year. The usual security check. However, not very many vendors for food and drinks. There are some, but not like the other venues. Sound was not great during our show. Wouldn't say I'd be thrilled to go back.

I understand this is an older venue, but everything about it was a complete disaster. This was for the circus-a huge kid attraction and I've never seen so many kids melting down. The line and lack of direction/order to get in was awful. Lines for concessions were terrible and very little options. The bathrooms were atrocious and it seemed all of the staff had zero clue what was happening, anywhere. Multiple fights, delayed security to help out. Felt like an unsafe place to be-we won't be going back.

Aside from the overtly dilapidated building itself, this place has the most ridiculous, rude, and invasive "security" staff I've ever seen. I'm fine if they require bag checks... but this woman pulled out my medication and required me to provide identification to PROVE that it was my prescription. Which, is an absolute violation of privacy. I understand a bag search for weapons, but the fact that my medication was scrutinized illegally, yet my friend's bag containing A KNIFE passed thru without a problem seems extraordinarily backwards and counter productive. Also, she was extremely rude. Also, IT WAS 100% MY PRESCRIPTION, OF COURSE. SCREW THIS VENUE... ILL NEVER GO BACK.

I've been to Municipal a few times now for a few different events and I have to say its a fairly nice venue. Not as flashy as the currently titled but sure to change in the future Bridgestone Arena, but it does hold its own. Parking isn't too bad for smaller events (usually in the 5 or 10 dollar variety) and overall its pretty clean. But, and for me this is a BIG but, every time I go there the concession vendors have SIGNS stating they take Visa, MasterCard and the Art Van Convenience Card (Okay, maybe not that one) every time, EVERY SINGLE TIME, they tell me that they CANT take my credit card today because the "Machine is Down". I don't know what the deal with the machine always being DOWN is, but I don't like carrying large amounts of cash with me. Certainly not into populated downtown areas where any number of things can happen to this cash. It just represents one of my biggest pet peeves. So in the end, a nice venue, I just wouldn't want to buy concessions there (with CASH) .
