Love Rae's! This place is certainly a Nashville hidden gem. You can tell they love what they do and the care they put into the food. Great place for a quick lunch downtown. I got the Abi's chicken sandwich and it was amazing! 10/10!

The Italian Romeo is BOMB! Even though it has chicken on it, the slight hint of sweetness and the Italian seasoning on the chicken, it kind of reminds me of a meatball sandwich in the way it tastes. Ordering it again today!

One of my favorite spots downtown! I've eaten at Rae's pretty regularly for the past 7 years and counting, it's really THAT GOOD! The sandwiches are always on point...fresh ingredients, made to order! 99% of the time I order the Reuben. They have daily specials; my favorite is the beer cheese soup! It has a spicy kick, so beware if you don't like spicy food. Rae's is a family run business with very friendly service! Keep in mind that it's a popular lunch spot for downtown workers, so going during peak lunch time means there will be a line. The dining room has several small tables for dine in, or they can pack your food up to go.

It's a locals kind of place, that's friendly to visitors. The menu is on the chalkboard, be ready to order because they'll ask you what you want to order pretty quickly. The guy behind the counter will take orders two or three people deep, in an attempt to make it more efficient, but doesn't work well. After ordering, it took 12 minutes to get my sandwich. Kind of a long wait if you're in a rush. The sandwiches are decent size, and you can get half if you want, but I don't know what the price is.

Rae's Is an absolute must when you're in Nashville. I had the special of the day which was a jerk chicken sandwich. This sandwich is no joke - It was spicy, it was moist and I believe the bread was homemade... it was fantastic! And DO NOT forget the brownie, it was absolutely delicious.

I ate here today for two reasons: Super short walk from my hotel. Such positive reviews about the people that run it. They didn't have the rueben today or the tenderloin but I got a steak and bleu anyways and they subbed in roast beef. It was great. The most unexpectedly good part was the bread. Delish! The couple working (Likely the owners) were indeed lovable and kind. I totally get it now:)

Such wonderful and welcoming people owning Rae's! We had the Monte cristo and Turkey (forgot the name) - see picture. Both on wheat. So good! They also have us samples of chicken salad with just the right amount of dressing and a huge brownie sample for being first time guests. We'll be back next time in Nashville for a concert. Cheers to a fantastic find!

Visited from out of state and was staying at the Sheraton up the street. Walked past this place a couple times and eventually decided to try it. It was 1:50pm and didnt realize they close at 2:00. That didnt phase them, they graciously answered my questions and took my order, and another order that came in 5 min later. Ordered the Abi's Honey Sriracha Chicken sandwich, took it back to my room, and OMG, this was the best gourmet sandwich ever. Was planning to eat half and snack the other half later, but that plan went out the window. Ended up eating it all. Then I looked at the brownie and thought, if their gourmet sandwich was that good, the brownie should be ok. The brownie was way better than ok, it was perfect. Perfect sweetness, chocolateness, moisture, texture. This place is definitely on my revisit list and recommendation to anyone in the area.
