This school ROCKS! We have been members here ever since we moved last year. The instructors are top-notch and my kids are learning a lot and growing as musicians. I like the safe and nurturing environment for my kids as well. The owner is very hands on and because she is a mom I know she gets it. I like that she treats my kids like her own and runs a tight ship. The only blip was when she hired a GM from another music program who was rude and just didn't get it but they fixed that issue quickly and the program is moving forward once again. I would highly recommend taking your kids to any of the Schools of Rock here in this area - they are top notch in every way and I love the shows.

The instructors are talented well seasoned musicians. I've noticed an increased confidence in myself when I play with other musicians. My experience with SOR has not only improved my skills but has made me an overall better musician. Didn't think that was possible for a guy my age but SOR gave me the chance to re-ignite that fire in my belly and never stop rockin .

I took my son here for a trial lesson. As soon as we walked in the vibe was cold, with their half assed version of School of Rock. The owner Angie was preoccupied with a mother and her 3 children. The mother was a pretentious snob who was standing there bragging about her "talented" children. When I finally managed to get her attention she had to ask me my son's name 5 times. She tells me it will just be a few minutes and that the instructor will be with us. 45 minutes later she says ooops his name isn't in the system. Sorry could we reschedule?! A friend of mine told me the same thing happened to her and her daughter they were treated rudely by Angie and they would never step foot in there again. I am a Belmont Blvd resident and I am not proud to say School of Rock is on the Block and neither would Jack Black.

We love SOR!! The staff is Awesome! My daughter loves her instructor and the student lounge. She has really excelled since starting at SOR.

We have been coming to School of Rock Nashville for over a year now. My son (age 11) has 2 different teachers 2X per week. Each offers something unique for him and are both clearly talented. One helps him work on material and theory more classically oriented, the other just lets him be a kid and have fun...because that is what it is all about. Over the summer he took ROCK 201 - a performance class - and all I can say is that my shy, somewhat talented kid blossomed on stage. The instructors were thoughtful and patient and overall it was a good experience. I am not surprised to read a previous reviewers comment about the "pretentious snob bragging about her talented children - this happens all activities: soccer, theatre, acadmics, you name it. It isn't a reflection of the management. As well, that is why they offer a TRIAL lesson - it may not be for everyone. Music lessons aren't cheap anywhere. I find School of Rock to be an excellent value for the stage we are in.
