The reservation did not accept my friend's credit card with address from Puerto Rico. It was not on the list of states. Had to make reservation with my credit card and add my friend therefore paying extra $14.99. The contact at the desk was very good but the bill was not what I expected. Drove 53 miles which probably consumed 2-2 1/2 gal. of gas and was charged $32.25! The car was very good. I had rented from SIXT before and had an excellent experience but this one left much to be desired.

I'd like to share a recent recent rental car experience with your Sixt. The vehicle (BMW 328i) was picked up at Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) and returned to Nashville International Airport (BNA). When I arrived at BWI, it was after 11:00 p.m. I was offered an upgrade to a BMW for a small additional fee, which I accepted for my one-way rental. Upon driving the car out of its parking space, but before leaving the garage, I decided to inspect it for pre-existing damage. Given the poor lighting, I used my phone's flashlight to perform the inspection and quickly noticed multiple areas of damage, including: Numerous scratches across the vehicle Curb Rash on wheels The front tow hook cover missing Paint discoloration and stains on the hood Scratches on the passenger-side rear quarter panel and bumper Overall, the car appeared to be in very poor cosmetic condition and likely should not have been rented in that condition, but I just needed transportation back to Nashville and mechanically it seemed to function fine. I attempted to document the damage by scanning the QR code on my receipt and uploading photos through your app, but the process failed several times due to poor lighting and app issues. I then located an attendant who confirmed, on her device, that the vehicle already had extensive prior damage documented and assured me that I was "good to go." Upon returning the car at BNA, I informed the drop-off attendant about my experience at pickup and suggested that the car be removed from service for proper repairs. Today, I was surprised to receive a notification from your company alleging a new scratch on one of the wheels and holding me responsible. I want to be clear that I did not cause that damage. I submitted your online form but it would not allow enough room for the appropriate narrative that I have provided in this email. As a lifelong car enthusiast who personally maintains a personal collection of 10-12 vehicles including BMWs, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi, I take exceptional care of every vehicle I drive. In fact, I consistently return rentals in equal or better condition than when received. Given the extensive preexisting damage and documentation acknowledged by your BWI staff. I think it's horrible that accompany. Your size only has a damage management team that works on Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 12 PM to 8 PM. A quick Google search provided me with lots of people in the same boat as myself being charged unfairly by the rental car company for damage that was already existing.

Should be a 0 star review! 1. Car they gave us 2025 jeep compass broke down 3 times leaving the garage with the transmission light on. Said they would give us credit never did 2. The upgrade was not an upgrade with a 2024 VW Tiguan. Not an upgrade 3. A week after I got home received my invoice and a charge on my card for an extra $146 saying there was damage to a wiper we never used and a charge for extra insurance that I did not agree to and a $60 charge for gas when it was brought back alsmost full. 4. Calling the company about the extra charge was a nightmare dealing with the 1st person breathing heavy then hanging up on my and the 2nd person not being able to talk English well. 5. DO NOT RECOMMEND THE HEADACHE OF DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY!!

Rental was ok but Sixt systematically make false damage claims to drive their revenue up. A class action lawsuit and thousands of online complaints have still not stopped the company deliberately falsifying claims to drive revenue.

Better maintenance of there vehicles before they're rented out again. Tried to resolve issue with tire I paid to fix, and filed a claim but, got the run around and department responsible for reimbursing did not give me a refund.

I rarely leave reviews, and I used to think one-star reviews were just isolated rants--until I experienced this repeatedly with SIXT. I've rented from them three separate times over the past year and a half, each time choosing a premium vehicle and documenting pre-existing damage with photos and videos. And every single time, I was later hit with a damage claim for issues I clearly didn't cause. The first two claims were eventually resolved--though only after weeks of chasing down responses through their clumsy claims process. Most recently, after returning another rental, I received yet another damage claim--this time directly from SIXT. I immediately sent them video and photo evidence showing the damage was pre-existing. But instead of responding, they escalated the claim to a third-party collections agency. Absolutely unacceptable. Obviously, this is the last time I'll ever use them. If you're considering renting from SIXT, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. There are better companies out there--this one has been nothing but a headache. I obviously am not concerned with my situation since I have so much evidence to prove my case, but for the next guy that doesn't know any better to film before leaving the lot, this could truly be unfortunate.

Absolute scam. They attempted to fine us over $1000 for damage to a vehicle we returned for being unacceptable (smoke they tried to cover up) by sending photos taken at a location different from where we dropped it off after the car was surrendered. Despite having open tickets to dispute, Sixt did not respond and still sent to collections - which is illegal. DO NOT rent from them. A drunk hobo downtown is both more responsive and more trustworthy than this company. Read the 1 star reviews. This is a CONSISTENT problem of fraud and they have multiple lawsuits open for it. Go elsewhere.

All fine until about 5 days after return I get a bill for $55 for fuel refill Even though I returned the car full. Seems like they teach their employees how to become leeches. Car was dinged up everywhere as well.

The rental itself was not an issue, but trying to get ahold of the manager of the Nashville Airport Sixt has been a NIGHTMARE. I have called customer service nearly 10 times in 6 weeks to try and get a response from them to no avail. Even their own customer service team cannot reach them. Multiple emails and calls about a lost item (I reported within 3 hours of returning the vehicle once I realized) and I have yet to make contact. My next contact will be attempting to reach corporate at this point.

Shady practices! They are accepting more reservations than the amount of cars they have in stock. I paid for my vehicle in full online and I arrived to pick it up a few minutes ahead of time and was told that the car had already been rented out and wasn't available for that day and the only thing they could do was offer me an upgrade for half off. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this greedy company. They take your money and still rent out cars on a first come first serve basis! The only thing that was good about this situation was the customer service Rep named Marianna because she did everything humanly possibly to ensure that we left with a vehicle to be able to get to our family in time. Thank you Marianna, we love and appreciate you!
