I never leave bad reviews, but I suppose that there's a first time for everything. Just a really disappointing choice on my part to sit down in this establishment. Wish I had picked another location since I just wanted to eat, drink and relax while getting a bit of work done. I was mostly attracted to the lack of customers and roomy space, which should have been an obvious clue. There was one bartender and two servers and many empty seats. Took forever to place an order. I noticed some people leaving before even being acknowledged. As a business owner, this would crush me. I was just about to stand up and leave, but I guess the bartender noticed and came to take my order. Once placed, I had to wait 10 minutes only to be told that the cabernet I ordered was not available, so I reluctantly agreed to pinot noir as a substitute. Not bad, I guess, until it was unapologetically served to me in a champagne flute, because that was "the only type of glass available at the moment." Honestly, I would have preferred a plastic cup to a flute. Food finally came after another 15 minutes. I ordered the hamburger and I must say that it was delicious, so that did calm me a bit. However, the server essentially threw the plate at me (I was sitting at the bar) and it made a loud noise. It startled me and we even made solid eye contact. I swear it was like she was mad at me for some reason. Maybe I looked like her ex-boyfriend? Not a word was spoken. I was still a bit rattled, or else I would have requested her attention. She just dumped the plate and left me without utensils, napkins or condiments. Nothing but the plate in front of me. I just watched her slowly slink away. It felt like a Twilight Zone episode, or perhaps one of those vintage Candid Camera pranks. Hint: I wanted ketchup to cover up the greasy taste of my very cold, soggy and sparse shoestring fries. From this point forward, none of the three employees checked on me. But I have thick skin, so I just ate with my bare hands in a way that would make any Neanderthal proud. When finished eating, I got up and walked to the other side of the bar to retrieve some cocktail napkins. Without doing so, there was no way that I could have reached for my wallet without spreading grease all over my pants pocket (the burger buns were covered in grease.....but still tasty). Next came the dreaded "may I please cash out" moment. After another 10 minute wait, I was about to just throw down some cash and leave after estimating the cost and tip, but the bartender finally came up and asked if I wanted another drink. I declined for fear of missing my flight and/or being forced to drink a Manhattan out of a soup bowl or coffee cup. So I got the bill, paid it and then walked to the pleasant martini bar one gate down. Had a couple of martinis while working on my laptop for the remainder of my 2 hour layover. Problem solved. This bar and grill could (and should) be a great spot to eat, drink and relax while traveling through Nashville International Airport as it does have nice ambiance and the burger was great. There's a lot of potential here, and I have a feeling that the main problem is the lack of staff. Bartenders and servers do have a demanding, stressful job---we can all agree on that fact. Just one more employee may have made the difference that day. Maybe an employee called in sick? I swear that I wanted to go around and start taking orders and making drinks. Or perhaps management will get lucky and hire some old-school "go-getters" to make sure that everything runs smoothly. Best of luck to the restaurant and best wishes for a successful future.

Nice ambiance but the wait time after ordering for your food was close to 45 minutes. Does not work when you are on a layover even though we had 90 min. Had to take to go to make our flight.

Don't know how the hell this place has 4 .5 stars, short haired African American girl behind the bar rude as hell. Grabbed a pizza to go because that's all they had2 doors down and stopped at a table in The Castle to eat pizza before jumping in the plane and this not only told me " you can't eat here@ but was rude as hell About it. I'm on way to AZ Coming from Florida as I was at a leadership retreat called Heart lead leadership- I run a $50 million company that is very successful and we send employees there to make them better leaders, you guys need to send this lady there , if I was starving. I would not stop there to eat ever again. BTW there are multiple people in there not eating just hanging out ? But me ? Rude

Been here over an hour. Requested water twice. No water. Order chicken tenders. No food or mention of food. Now it's 20 until my flight and I'm waiting at the bar with my card out to cancel a WATER and chicken tenders to walk to my gate. The live musician isn't helping because he's just playing such sad music. The 2 people at the bar next to me are just complaining about how sad it is here. But it's brand new? Ish? What a shame. I love the bartender's personality, but his service is horrific. Please let me pay and leave.

I was there on 10/13/25 the service was slow although the food was good however there was a black male behind the bar that was very condescending and rude to me. I had one drink a tall vodka/soda and lunch. I later asked for a glass of water and he thought my drink was a glass of water and when I corrected him, his comment was: after all that you need a lot of water. A bit later I ordered a glass of wine and with a disgusting look he asked : how many have you had already? I took offense to that response and replied 1 drink and lunch to which I was then served but with impunity. I will likely not be in D concourse again but if I am I won't be visiting the Castle bar and re.

Terrible food and terrible service. Waited over 45 minutes for a salad, was ignored by the bartender the entire time. Wait times to even get your bill were so long that I watched multiple people get up and leave without paying so they wouldn't miss their flights. They would ask to pay and the waitress would just never bring them a bill lol. Staff were obviously brand new and with no training, I felt bad for them. I had to argue with the waitress over an $8 up charge for adding chicken to their menu item named "chicken Caesar salad". The beer was warm, and I had to ask for a receipt three times before one was given to me (necessary for tracking meals on my company card). All in all this place was surreal. Someone obviously spent a ton of time and money building and decorating it, no idea why they forgot to include any of the basics that a restaurant needs to function. Avoid this joint at all costs

Ordered the chicken strips. Someone literally just dropped 5 crappy frozen strips in a bowl, heated them up a little, and served them. $16 WASTED!

Picked a sit and waited 20 minutes and nobody came up and took my order. I walked across to New Heights and by the time I sat down, i already had a menu and a drink order in place.

So so bad. Had to ask for a beer after sitting watching the "bar tenders" walk by for over 20 minutes (it was not busy!) She took my beer and food order, and forgot my beer until I flagged her... then brought to me without a comment. There was no one waiting. Felt ignored. Was kind to her the entire time, no big deal as my flight was delayed, but reflecting on how poorly the experience was. Food was really not good. Just a decent seat to watch sports, and they do have mango cart beer.
