I had the most amazing time and experience here in Nashville. I highly recommend this hotel. Great location and vibe! Beautiful rooms and amenities. Taylor Swift was staying here at the same time which was super cool. We didn't run into her but were still treated with white gloves and smiles. There is a cafe and restaurant downstairs. Great decor and clean. Loved the location. The Gulch is where I would prefer staying. Many shops and restaurants around the hotel too.

This Thompson property is in a great neighborhood in the Gulch, walkable to a few spots and also not a far drive from anything you may need to do In town. My room was beautiful and stylish. The rooftop bar is very vibe-y and was the right level of busy for afterwork drinks.

I am staying here right now. This is definitely not a five star hotel. The service is seriously lacking. We have been staying here for three days and there are too many other hotels in Nashville that the service is just way better at. You can do the 1 hotel, The Joseph, the Conrad, JW Marriott, any of those. I am waiting on my car to arrive to check out. They have my luggage and I asked for a bottle of water and they won't even give me that, but I did see them just give somebody else a bottle of water with their logo on it so I know they have water. They said they don't have any down here, but I literally just watched them bring a (white) man a water. Their front staff is just not very friendly. The restaurant staff was friendly. They do have a rooftop, but it is a very young crowd, just FYI. There is no pool or a spa here.

I really enjoyed staying at the Thompson. The location in the Gultch is great. It has access to some nearby restaurants and activities that you probably wouldn't otherwise go out of your way for. The rooms feel new, or like they have been recently renovated. Service was great as well. Room service was very responsive and housekeeping was great. My one complaint, as it seems to be with most hotels, is that there is not enough surface space for your stuff. They do have outlets in the night stands which seems to be great, however, they are literally right up against the bed which is really weird and charging bricks tend to fall out of them. The "rooftop" bar is nice, and the online check-out actually worked, which seems to be another simple thing that is commonly broken in other places. Broadway is walkable. You just need to follow the walking directions on an online map to find the shortest path. HINT: The stairs at Milk & Honey Gulch are key to the shortest path!

This was our first time here but I'm not sure we will be back honestly. More times than not, Amex FHR hotels will offer complimentary upgrades to rooms upon check-in; Thompson did not but rather stated we could pay for an upgrade if we wished meaning they had upgrades available but chose not to accommodate. My wife and I attempted to go to the rooftop "restaurant and bar" to find it to be a bar only that serves some food that was so incredibly over crowded that we could barely walk around so we just left back to our room. On our second to last day, our entire hallway, including our room smelled like weed which was incredibly bothersome considering it's a smoke free hotel. Im not sure if it was the room service that was at our door when I came back or something else but honestly there was no point in calling about because I know nothing would come of it. Beds were ok, valet parking is like $54. To be honest, I think the only "luxury" thing was having to scan your room key in the elevator and I've dealt with friendlier staff in France even though the French "are rude". It is trying to be something it just isn't.

Not the cleanest hotel, never once saw cleaning service at all. The television worked but very inconsistent. Small rooms, but not clean at all. It's In a good location surrounded by good shops and restaurants, but they fall short in cleanliness and room service. Don't think I would return to this establishment, being from New York and their being another establishment in NY we felt that service would be up to par. But they fell short. Also the destination fee be aware of, you get one glass of champagne and that's it, they say you have sparkling water on your floor in tap. But who drinks $25 of sparkling water feom a tap outside your door. Total crap.

Casual luxury at every turn. The staff made every interaction enjoyable and positive. We visit our daughters in Nashville often and this hotel is our go to. We recognize the same faces every trip and they recognize us back, from the valet to the servers, managers and housekeeping. Great vibe all around.

Had read about the Thompson Hotel a while back in WSJ so we had it on our list and we were not disappointed. The hotel is attractive, clean and we had no issues. Room temperature was comfortable and the rooms are clean with great water pressure in the shower. Thompson's rooftop bar was a great spot for a quick drink and all the staff we dealt with were helpful and friendly.

So I booked thru my Amex platinum card. They recommended as one of their fine hotels. We'll check in was great they were awesome. The rooms were small and very little amenities. The housekeeping sucked. We came for my nieces 21st. We arrived on a Friday came back late with our cocktails from bar we left Monday glasses were still there. Coffee cups from downstairs killibrew were still there also. I used the vanity items there as I forgot my own my bad. They never replenished. We went to dinner there the last night. They cut my 21 yr old niece off. She went to the bathroom twice in 30 minutes supposedly they said to throw up not the case. They asked them to leave. Very disappointed I booked 3 rooms never again will be contacting American Express
