Wow!! Such a cool place!! What a wonderful way to create a crafty community while also reducing waste AND giving people an easy way to donate!! Could not be happier with this place! 'Pay what you can' type place so it's affordable to everyone PLUS there's so much there and everything is organized and easy to go through! Staff was polite and we really enjoyed the vast selection.

Stumbled upon this great donation based art store that allows people to "pay what you can" on random creative and art supplies that they have. I was getting ready to move across the country and was able to donate old office supplies, post-its, paper and other items I had around my apartment - I was very happy to donate those items here rather than somewhere like Goodwill or them going into the trash. I didn't expect for them to ask me to stand there and go through every time I was donating. It was a bit judgey and uncomfortable as they handed back a can of spray paint that they thought could be less than half full. I was disappointed that the rest of it wouldn't be used be someone (even for free!) and that I had to throw it out instead.

I love a creative reuse store and Turnip Green does not disappoint! So much stuff, well organized. I found a cute Halloween fabric scrap that I'll make something to commemorate our anniversary with, and a few pieces I can use in my grandkids' I-spy quilts. Turnip Green Creative Reuse is one of those special places that has been around forever and keeps getting more and more new people interested. Turnip Green is now either in its third or fourth space because it just keeps growing larger. The latest space on 3rd Ave is the best yet! In this space, the Turnip Green staff has been able to great things with organizing the materials for shopping ease. If you are not familiar with Turnip Green, it is a place to donate materials and give them a second life. Anyone can shop in the store with their pay as you can model. It seems like it would mainly be for creative people but it is really for anyone! I don't want to give away my secrets, but I haven't bought a card from a grocery store in the longest. Turnip Green has a wonderful stationary section sorted by occasion - it suddenly doesn't feel like I have way too much stationary when I'm buying for a good cause! I'm actually helping by hoarding cards. :D It is also a great place when you want to donate things - be sure to check the website first on what is accepted! But that leftover yarn, the fabric you'll never use, the leftover tile from your home renovation, it can all have a new life. One of my grandma's friends had me drive bagfuls of yarn back to Nashville because I said people would use it and love it. They also have great opportunities for group volunteering!

Stumbled upon this place via Google maps while on a weekend trip to Nashville and immediately knew I wanted to support this store. The concept is a great idea: you shop from an assortment of donated craft goods and set your own price. It is a bit of a hunting and going through different bins but everything is clearly labeled and well categorized. I found a stack of laminated coffee beans labels, a frame, some ribbon, 2 greeting cards, and a few scrap of fabric and paid $12 for everything. TLDR: - art thrifting -you set the price

This is a crafter's paradise! Turnip Green has allowed me to explore different mediums without being wasteful. It is such a gift to have this in our community! I love the variety, and I've found it to be well-organized. The team members typically working at the check-our area are super helpful. There's plenty of street parking. I recommend grabbing a coffee at one of the local coffee shops and making a day of it!

Made a quick stop in here while in the nashville area. The "stock" is donated, so it evolves. There is plenty of variety to look through. Art supplies, frames, home d-i-y leftovers, fabrics-you get the idea. Nothing priced-you make a donation when you check out. Warehouse door was open on day I visited. (Early june) so know it might get warm.
