This was a great festival! This was my first year going and I also volunteered for the first few hours through my employer on Sunday. There were many vendors selling drinks and food, none of the lines were crazy long, which happens at most festivals I go to. The view of downtown was fantastic, I hope they keep having the festival at auditorium shores! It wasn't overcrowded on the lawn, lots of room to spread out. Many portable bathrooms. The music was awesome. I stayed pretty much all day. Good vibes all around. Will definitely be going next year!

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Tried to ride to the reggae fest today but didn't go. I've been to the prior festivals in years past but this year it really felt different. No bike parking. Just scooters everywhere. A lot of standard Jamaican clothing and other kitsch wares. There were a handful of other riders outside the festival, unwilling to leave their bicycles under the bridge next to the encampment. Worst of all, the festival staff were upset and lamented this was the most disorganized festival they've worked. This is the first festival I just decided to skip at the gate and spend my time and money elsewhere.

Amazing time! I got a hemp hat and you could rent chairs there (which I loved). All the artists were authentic and great at their art. There were cute little booths with bracelets, food, desserts, palm reading, clothes, etc. Will be going every year from now on

So this was fun! I've always loved reggae, but, admittedly, my knowledge of it doesn't go much past Bob Marley. One person in our party, however, knows his reggae and commented multiple times that the performers were class acts. We arrived early to take advantage of the 2-for-1 discounted entry. ($20 for 2.) Proceeds benefit the food bank, so even paying full price is for a good cause. It should be noted here that parking in the garage next to Auditorium Shores (I think?) is almost mandatory. We thought that because it was a Sunday, we could park in a nearby neighborhood. Sorry, no. Police had all side roads blocked off for residents only. We ended up parking a 15 minute walk away. Not a big deal, but it would've been worth the $10 to park in the garage across the street. Or better yet, $5 half a block away. The concert was held in a wide, open space with hardly any shade. And it was HOT! Bring an umbrella and a chair or blanket, all of which we forgot. If you want a seat in the shade, come early, as they go quickly. The smell of weed permeates the air and, if I'm not mistaken, I think vendors were walking around selling it. Not my thing, but it wasn't overpowering and everyone was respectful. Vendors line the outside of the green space selling food, drinks, frozen margaritas (I think they were supposed to contain alcohol but I certainly didn't taste any and wasn't willing to spend $4 for an "extra shot" above the $13 I was already being charged.) Food was good. I had "Island noodles" which were basically lo mein with teriyaki chicken. Someone else in our group had a veggie patty and another had a shish kabob, both tasty. Vendors were largely the same, Marley T-shirt's, ethnic dresses, pipes, sunglasses, etc. There were some interesting ones such as that selling CBD sunscreen. Lots of port-a-potties, but many lacking toilet paper. My only other complaint is that the Festival was advertising a photo contest on its social media to win VIP passes. Everyone in our group posted several photos and there were only 2 additional photos posted by others. We never heard who won (obviously we didn't) so it felt kind of "scammy." Because of the heat, we only stayed a few hours, but loved every second. One love, indeed!

Awesome festival! Very chill crowd, lots and lots of weed passing around, good music, good vibes and an amazing performance by Sister Nancy. She just walked on stage and killed it. The Wailers started strong but lost energy towards the end of the set. I would have preferred hearing some new stuff over the "Legend" sing along the group performed. Jah Rastafari.

Stopped by this early on my bike ride.. Unfortunately they didn't have a free entry for riding bike to it, like the Art Show...Hoping the trend pics up so we can be more Eco Friendly like my sister city Portland. It sure would have helped with all the traffic building up there.. Anyway, it looked fun, but continued on to Barton Springs and swam laps there, better call for the hot day.. but go ..just wear a lot of Sun Screen!! Evi Ting Irie in Austin!!

I loooooved this festival! Probably one of the most chill & relaxing experiences I've ever had. There's a huge lawn for your to spread out with your lawn chairs, blankets & umbrellas. Lots of vendors selling everything from pipes to sundresses to crystals. There was also a few food vendors, beer stands, and promo booths. Music was great and the vibe was perfect. Although there was security, you were actually encouraged to "spark up" as long as you didn't get out of hand, so don't be scared to bring your stash!

Had a great time ! Not place to go of you have a phobia about majiuana. Obviously I guess it's Reggae! Make sure to wear lots of sunscreen and take chairs or blankets to sit on.

Formerly known as the Marley festival this is one of many events that make Austin special. For $10 and 2 cans of food that go to stocking the food banks I got to see the reggae icon Culture. It doesn't get much better than that in my book. I also saw my first siting of Leslie, and was surprised that she was tastefully dressed in a maroon velvet dress. I would minus a star for the crappy beer, but come on, who really needs beer at this event. And the kid kinda sorta liked something that wasn't punk or gangsta rap.
