Azure is a great little cafe. It's north of 183 on Lamar. If I'm having a hard time deciding on a place to eat, Azure has come up as a possible default option. Their menu is pretty diverse. You go in, place your order on the kiosk, and then enter the table at which you'd like to sit at. They have cool neon signs hanging around on the walls. The bathroom down the hall past the curtains is clean. Once you place your order and sit down, they'll bring over bottled water to you. Your food will then come out after a bit. However, you'll have to grab your own plates, utensils, chopsticks, and napkins from the table. If you need to customize your order, talk with one of the staff members or the chef, and they'll let you know if they can accommodate. For example, noodle types can be swapped for certain dishes to establish a gluten-free version. Some of the dishes I've had before: Spring Rolls -- herbs, shrimp, vermicelli, cucumber, purple cabbage, and crunchy stick. I really like these spring rolls. Tom Kha -- savory broth, nice warm spiciness, plenty of yum. This has been reordered multiple times. Vermicelli Bowl -- assorted veggies, and pickled items, surrounding vermicelli, topped with a meat, eggroll Gyoza -- clearly deep fried so that all the skin puffs and is browned, but it works. Katsu -- rice, curry, panko breaded meat. I've ordered it once, and will probably order again. Karaage Chicken -- light crunch, nice sauce. Shaved Ice -- taro blueberry. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It comes with little gummy jellies. Tea Latte -- the hojicha black sesame one has a good sesame flavor. Sweetness is adjustable. The taro one is also nice. Flavored Sodas -- the strawberry matcha coconut water one (matcha cloud) is a good combination. They also use real in their sodas, e.g. lychee soda

We visited this restaurant on a Friday evening, and it's found in a shopping plaza. You self-order at the kiosk to either dine-in or do take-out. We ate at the restaurant and it was nice and clean. The food is good, but nothing spectacular or unique. The chicken karage was delicious! Nice crunch with a yummy dipping sauce. I was expecting the grilled pork bahn mi to be the closest thing to a traditional bahn mi sandwich - mine didn't come with any pate. It was pretty basic and didn't seem worth the cost. The beef teriyaki plate was well prepared and came with a salad with a variety of flavors. Caution: price listed for this on the online website differs from the price on the kiosk. I was happy with the food overall, but thought the prices were on the higher side. I think other restaurants do a better job on food with more affordable pricing. Additionally, this is a very self-service restaurant. You order your own food, grab your own utensils and condiments, and can bus your own table. Great place for a quick meal!

Very good experience. The food is a tad bit more expensive than your normal lunch place but the quality is very good and the attention to detail is solid. I got the fiery chicken bowl and the katsu udon. The fiery chicken bowl is a 10/10 BUT also very very spicy. They used cut up thai chilis or something because it's a heat that sneaks up quickly. It's also beautifully plated and put together. Katsu udon was solid, very great fry on the meat and the udon itself had some lemon zest which was a phenomenal ideal because it helped make the meal more interesting and decreased the flavor fatigue I usually get with katsu udon. This is definitely a place I would return back to because I want to try their drinks and desserts. I also think the food is so good I would bring people from out of town here. Not necessarily the best place to study because there aren't many outlets and all the outlets are used by their neon signs but I asked to unplug one temporarily and they let me sooo...

I ordered the creamy udon with beef and the chicken katsu bento box. The udon lived up to its name, and I was pleasantly surprised! It had great flavor and the beef was a great cut of meat. The chicken katsu was also really good, and had a good amount of toppings.

I wish there had been an Azure near my middle school, high school, or college. It's the kind of cozy spot perfect for study breaks, casual meals, or catching up with friends. With seating for 1, 2, 4, or 6 people, it's great for both solo visits and group hangouts. Azure offers a delightful variety of treats like croffles and cannolis, along with refreshing options like bingsu, coffee, milk-based drinks, and fruit teas. For something heartier, they serve comfort food favorites such as curry with rice and katsu, udon soup, banh mi, and pho. I can easily imagine stopping by after a long study session to recharge with a sweet treat or a warm bowl of tom kha soup. It's the kind of place where everyone can find something they crave--and the prices are reasonable for the quality. So far, I've tried the tom kha (once with beef and once with chicken), and my husband had the curry with katsu, gyoza and miso soup. Everything was absolutely delicious. While I found the meat in the tom kha a little dry and wished it had a bit more seasoning, the flavor overall was rich and satisfying. The service is great, too. The staff are friendly and attentive. They greet you with bottled water when you're seated, and at the end of your meal, you simply return your dishes to a white bin. Parking is also a breeze right out front. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!

When I first started seeing posts about Azure, I was super excited to try their bingsu (Korean shaved ice dessert) but I was a bit skeptical about the rest of their menu despite seeing positive reviews. The mains menu is mostly a mix of Vietnamese and Japanese with a little bit of Thai sprinkled in, and it just looked a bit scattered to me. I was worried it would be fusion done badly, but I was wrong! My friend and I ordered the creamy udon and the pho dip banh mi. The creamy udon has a really velvety sauce with a generous amount of shiitake mushrooms and such good umami. Perfectly cooked, bouncy udon noodles stood up to the richness of the sauce really well, and the noodles are topped by a generous portion of chicken katsu. Juicy chicken, very crispy breading. The pho dip banh mi surprised us too. The banh mi was flavorful enough on it's own, but with the dip? Magic. It had all the wonderful five spice and rich flavor of pho, but was more like a thick gravy than a regular pho broth consistency. We capped off our meal by ordering the blueberry taro bingsu. My friend was a bit disappointed that they used a powdered taro mix instead of actual taro, but I didn't mind that, especially since I'm not sure what regular taro would have done to the texture. As it was, we got perfectly fluffy taro ice, topped off with what tasted like homemade blueberry sauce, fresh blueberries, and a mix of mochi and crystal boba. It was delicious, and I really want to try their other flavors. The decor is fairly spartan, and there isn't a ton of seating available, but the food is fantastic, and the service was lovely and welcoming. Can't wait to go back!

Even looking at the menu beforehand, I was so excited to try Azure! Their food options looked really good, and their drinks looked even better! We got Miso soup - this was accidentally brought to our table and we drank it without realizing it didn't come with our entrees, but it was so good! The broth was simultaneously rich without being too heavy, and was a great appetizer. Earl grey matcha latte - I loved this drink! I finished the whole thing so quickly. But also disclaimer that it is on the sweeter side. The Earl grey flavor really shines through, and the matcha is more muted. But it pairs together so well. Tom kha pho - I love tom kha, so I was super excited to try this too. The broth was a really even blend of tom kha and pho, although I wish it was a little more acidic, whether that be through lemongrass or fish sauce. Creamy udon - This dish was also so good! I really appreciated it not being as salty as I expected just because it's already a heavier dish. The chicken katsu was so crispy, but the meat was still pretty tender. I do wish there was some type of sauce on the chicken. But they have a little sauce bar on the side so I just used that. I'm sure you can also just dip it into the creamy udon sauce, but I expected some type of tonkatsu sauce or something. Corn croffle - This might be my favorite of everything we tried today. The croffle part was kind of more dense than I expected, but I kind of liked it. The cream on top was so light, that it was nice to have something with more of a chew to it. And speaking of the cream, it was super light and wasn't overly sweet. It was a very subtle sweetness that really allowed the natural sweetness of the corn to shine through. And the corn flavor was so strong, but in a really good way. The prices aren't too bad, and the workers are so friendly. We actually got the croffle because they were taking some pictures for their menu. And they allowed us to sample it once they were done! The owner(?) was really nice too, coming around to make sure everything was ok. The only thing is I wouldn't really recommend coming here to work. I had called beforehand to make sure they had wifi, which they said they did. But when I came, the guest wifi didn't really work. When I told the workers, they tried to give me access to the non guest wifi, but that didn't let me in either.

I was impressed! I am usually skeptical with the fusion but this place nailed it. We had pho tom kha noodle soup and curry chicken over rice, they both tasted very good. Parking was easy, we got seated right away, it was kind of self-serve ordering, but everything was taken care of very nicely, the staff were nice too. We will come back, the menu has so many good dishes!

Azure is a bit of hidden gem right now, located a mile north of the 99 Ranch plaza. Tried a few of their drinks, croffles and savory entrees and everything has been a hit! They offer a good variety of lattes, viet style coffees, and mixed lemonade drinks. I'm a fan of the hojicha latte since not many places carry it and Azure does it justice. It hits all of the right notes, and deep roasted flavor of the hojicha is balanced out by the milk and sweetener. Whenever I drop by I always grab a croffle as well. They're made to order and are picture perfect with the flavored creams and sauces. While their sweets are a must get, don't pass up on their savory menu! I enjoyed the vermicelli bowl as it's a cornucopia of food. It's also fresh and light, packed with a variety of vegetables too.

Love the Enoki mushroom banh mi!! While pricey, the bread is perfect and the ingredients fresh! Hojicha tea amazing. My wife love the pho tom kha. The strawberry croffle is amazing. The bingsu are also very very good. We will be coming back often!
