Great place to rent bikes! The guy behind the counter gave us all the info we needed & helped us get in & out quickly. It had a small town & mom & pop feel! They rent a wide variety of bikes including beach cruisers, hybrid bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, tandem bikes, and electric bikes. They also offer tag along bikes, kids' bikes, and accessories like trailers and kids' seats. Prices seemed great, too!

Absolutely superb service. I came to get a bike for me and then my son's scooter broke and they helped me out getting a trailer hooked up to the bike. Really enjoyed our rental. My son asked to come back tomorrow! Great per hour value as well.

Fantastic experience with the Austin in a Nutshell tour. We took traditional bikes and booked a tour last minute after debating whether or not it was worth it on an overcast, gray day. The clouds did not detract from our experience and probably made it more tolerable as we covered quite a bit of ground on bike. Highly recommend for first time visitors to the city. We saw and learned much more than if we were to have just rented the city bikes and done our own exploring. The staff are very helpful and quite flexible if you're debating about times, tours, bike type, etc. We had 4 last minute additions to our group which delayed our start but still were given full due of the tour (just over 8 miles and about 2.5 hrs). Rob was an excellent guide, making sure we all knew how to safely operate our bikes, highlighting some very unique aspects of Austin's history (with some humor) and coming prepared with water for everyone. He even switched bikes with one member of the group when their wheel was stuck. There's a few free parking spots next to the shop itself if you're driving your own car, and there is a bathroom on the premises so you can empty your bladder before or after your ride. Location near Barton Springs and across from the original Chuy's is another plus - what better way to reward yourself after a ride than a huge plate of Tex Mex?

Perfect team. We had Peter as a guide, and he was very professional, knowledgeable, and has a lot of humor. We spent 3 great hours around the city, and we learned a lot about Austin. Bikes are in perfect conditions and light. We recommend this rental shop

This place was amazing for our family and our needs. We had planned a special day for our kid that was turning 9 that day. He got a new bike and the rest of the family (the 3 of us) were going to rent bikes so we could all ride around together. As sometimes happens the day was getting stressful... Michael and Rob handled the frizzled stress with such beauty and grace. We rented two big bikes, one with a seat to hold little brother and then brought it back due to a melting down toddler and one parent went one way and I stayed with the birthday boy. The manner in which both of these guys held our difficult day made the stress much more manageable and by the end of the bike ride, all was wonderful with the world again. This place was such a delight to do business with, would recommend to anyone looking for service above and beyond! They also gave us a break since we didn't end up taking both the bikes. That's just good customer service and being good people.

Third time in Austin but never had I seen it in such an intimate and historic perspective. Michael was an excellent guide and provided a nice balance of nature, history, artwork and sights. He's also a pretty nifty photographer for our group of 4 bikers. I have IT band syndrome so I was nervous about a flare up. The e bikes are a godsend. Nice tutorial on their usage made them easy to ride. The trail had a lot of cool park trails and lively city streets. Austin mostly has generous bike lanes that felt safe, but some of the routes felt like we were fighting with cars for the road. Not one driver honked at us. Shocking coming from NY.

Had a great tour of some of Austin's highlights. It was a small group of five and we all seemed to enjoy ourselves. The bike shop staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Easy rental experience and close to trails!! We rented E bikes for a couple hours while visiting Austin & it was an easy peasy experience. Would use again & would recommend to others.

I rented a bike for a triathlon and Mark helped me with the reservation. He patiently and knowledgeably answered my many questions! I had never rented a bike for a race before. After the race, I returned the bike and he helped me get it in the store. Turns out I didn't need to bring my own helped-they rent them for free! Mark, thanks for making my bike rental experience seamless and first class!

Just took a tour with Mark and it far exceeded my expectations. Within a 3 hour tour, I got to see a lot of the city, including some spots that would've been left off most bigger tours. Mark was a fantastic guide, kept us safe on the streets, and was really fun to be around. I now have a better feel for the history of Austin and where the city is moving today. Plus the electric bikes were really fun and great quality. The cost was definitely worth the price of a smaller tour and it didn't have the hassle of moving around the city in a giant group. I would highly recommend taking a tour from Mark at Barton Springs bike rental and tours.
