I saw an article a while back discussing Bennu as one of the few 24hr coffee shops still around in Austin. After living by Bennu for a couple of years and seeing the parking lot filled to the brim (literally every time I drive by), I got lucky one day and saw a parking spot. I had fresh grocery and my laptop was at home but I stopped in anyway. I loved how this coffee shop made me feel like I was back in college and writing my most expansive papers. The barista was new but very kind and helpful (this place is not your standard layout!). Yes, you have to buy something for WiFi. I felt bad watching a guy begrudgingly buy a sparkling water to get 3 more hours of internet. I totally understand the concept as they would have even more people hanging out. My coffee was good and the barista was super nice and adjusted my milk to coffee to sweetener ratio until it was perfect!

Stopped by on my break today since it's close to the hospital. When I got to the counter, both baristas were chatting and didn't acknowledge me. I had to say hello first and still got no response. The man in the black and neon green shirt seemed annoyed when I asked questions about the "Bennu" drink, giving short answers and little help. When my drink was ready, he just mumbled something, and there were several coffees sitting there with no names called out, so I had to guess which one was mine. I sat at the first seat I saw and didn't really take in the ambiance because I just felt uncomfortable. I'm not expecting over-the-top friendliness, but a little basic customer service would go a long way. The coffee itself was good and exactly what I wanted. But the overall experience left me not wanting to return.

Loved the ambiance of the place! They are open 24 hours and we will definitely visit here again. We got two white chocolate mochas to go that were smooth and yummy. Perfect for driving down I-35!

Came Sunday around noon, and there was no parking available. This is a 24 hour coffee shop that has a welcoming "come and chill" environment. There's plenty of indoor seating, printer, and chargers so it's understandable that their parking is taken. Inside was air conditioned and opened area. It was full of people when I came. The cashier was friendly towards me. She did have an attitude toward my friend who ordered afterwards. I ordered the iced Blennu. I give it a 6 out of 10. I do wish it was creamier. The coffee was watery. Overall the place is rate a 7.5 out of 10. I will come back. I want to read here. :)

I've been coming here for years SOLELY for the fact that it is a 24 hour shop and I have work to do at all hours. But I have had it! The coffee is one of the worst I have ever tasted. Literally tastes like water mixed with coffee bean for 6 dollars. No matter what you get! They also make the coffee different every single time. Oh and don't bother asking the workers to fix your drink. They will act like you are incompetent. I have never asked a barista to remake my drink and they take it back add more whipped cream and give it back. Horrible service. The place is dirty but I guess relaxing lighting for work. Bathrooms you have to close your eyes in, very dirty. Yes, i've tried many things on the menu. What do I recommend? Absolutely nothing. Too bad they make you buy something for wifi codes because they know no one would buy their horrid coffee otherwise.

I stopped in at 6am on Labor Day after dropping someone off at the airport and got an excellent cortado and cold brew. Quick service and great coffee.

Oh, how I wish there were more places like Bennu Coffee in the world! One of its biggest highlights is that it's open 24/7, making it a perfect spot for people to get work or schoolwork done at all hours of the day. They also have plenty of seating and outlets, which is a huge plus for anyone looking for a productive environment. I've tried the Iced Bennu and the Don Quixote. The Don Quixote was a little too sweet for my taste, but the Iced Bennu was great. It reminded me of the Iced Turbo from Jo's Coffee, but with a bit more of a maple syrup flavor for the sweet side. While it's amazing that they're open 24/7, I did find their parking lot to be a bit small and disproportionate to the amount of seating inside, so finding a spot could be tricky during busy times. Overall, Bennu Coffee is a fantastic place to work, hang out, or grab a good coffee, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone in Austin!

I've stopped in a handful of times bc it's on my way to work. First vist, I had one of the house mocha specials (can't remember the name). Pretty strong on the mocha flavor but I couldn't really taste the others flavors. I also got their bacon & egg breakfast sandwich, which was DELICIOUS. I've also tried their hot & iced Chai & found the hot version to be extremely lacking in flavor. Their hot chocolate is pretty good but a bit on the bitter side. I've only tried their lemon poppyseed loaf as far as baked goods go & it was ok. I wouldn't risk an opium drug test over it. Sorry, Seinfeld reference...had to. This morning I ordered a bacon, egg & cheese on flour taco bc their sandwiches were out, got to work and wondered why it tasted weird. It was a cactus, bean and potato on corn. It actually tasted pretty good but definitely not what I was expecting. I never would have ordered that normally, so I guess it was a happy accident. Staff is generally very friendly and it's a nice space. Parking lot is a bit frustrating when they're busy. If I go back, I'll probably start sticking to hot tea only.
