After my fourth visit, I feel a review is in order. The food is amazing and the staff is friendly too. Zero complaints there. Why only three stars? Because two of the four times I have gotten food from here, they've messed up my order. They're timely correcting it and apologetic about it, but a 20-minute round trip twice has left me a little annoyed. The final two stars can be earned when I don't have to check my entire order before leaving, which I guess I will have to do from here on out. EDIT: down to two stars for this location. Why? They forgot my sauce on the side, which was honestly to be expected. When I brought it up with the cashier, he asked to see my receipt, which was also expected and completely normal. What was not expected and completely normal is the fact that I had to show my receipt three (3) times and point out where I put "sauce on side". The cashier for some reason just did not want to believe that I would ask for my sauce on the side. I will still eat here, but I will only tip in cash and only when my order is correct the first time.

BussinBuns introduces an interesting spin on the classic hotdog, replacing the sausage with fried chicken. I got the spicy Bussin combo, and the food overall was pretty good! The meat was juicy and the fries got the job done. I do wish the meat was a little less greasy and that the fries were crispier, but can't complain. Would probably not come here again but was still worth a try!

Went for their soft opening this week after having tried them at the Airport Blvd location a few weeks ago. I'm super glad they now have a north location! It's situated in a parking lot where Lamar and Braker intersect, near International Foods and a gas station. The food is made fresh, so there's a small wait, but you can opt to receive a text when your order is ready for pickup. We tried the Bussin' Combo at X-Hot, and I definitely wouldn't go any hotter than that! The chicken was perfectly seasoned, fresh, and halal--zero complaints from me! We ate at home, and even after 30 minutes, the chicken was still crispy. The fries did get a bit soft, but that was expected. Next on my list to try is the Bussin' Mac, which looks amazing. I really hope they thrive in this location and I'm happy to have them nearby!

Great spot for some spicy chicken! Came here on a Sunday afternoon and the place wasn't too busy between normal lunch and dinner hours. Ordered the Bussin Combo which was great. The sandwiches are served in a hot dog bun to cater to the shape of the tender. The Bussin Sauce was so good! Glad I got to try this place.

BussinBuns is indeed bussin. The chicken has 5 levels of spice. You can choose from no spice all the way up to extra spicy. Very crunchy crust, juicy meat. The sauce is similar to cane's sauce. The slaw is not heavily dressed and is really nice. Crunchy and tangy, not even a little bit limp. I wanted some bussin chicken and went to the place with bussin in the name. I was not disappointed. I'll be back for sure

I ordered mine on mobile and it alerts you (via email) when your food is ready. Makes for no wait in your car or in the heat if you plan ahead of time. It was delicious.

I went to the north lamar location. Got the bussin combo. The x hot spices catches you. I had Nashville hot chicken in Nashville. Not going to lie it was fire but damn near painful to eat. This spice is level is good. The chicken is fried right and the fries ared seasoned. Knocked a star off for the mac. It tater like KFC's with better noodles. They had people showing but you can order online. Do that.

I would actually rate this a 4.5. Both the chicken and fries were well seasoned & flavorful, and the chicken was thick & juicy! My only complaint is just that they should add a little more sauce & coleslaw, otherwise it's a little dry.

The taste of the food was great. We liked their sandwich and the fries. One downside for us was the wait. We wanted a quick meal after taking family photos and we thought a food truck would be a good option but unfortunately this place didn't hit the mark. We parked in the parking lot where the food truck is located and ordered and the estimated wait time was 20 minutes but we ended up waiting 45 minutes, which was no fun with a fussy baby in the car. After 30 minutes, my husband asked and he kept being told 5 minutes. We live nearby so if we got an accurate time, we would have been able to plan accordingly (I.e. have hubby drop me and baby off at home). Other people would get their orders in the meantime so we wondered if perhaps they ordered ahead online - a tip to do so to save yourself some. When we finally received our order, they did include a couple of free drinks. We were starving when we finally got to eat, hence the hasty pic. If I try this place out again, I'll order ahead and make sure and have plenty of baby-free time.
