Because this is a bar near UT, there tends to be a bit of a younger crowd. So, absolutely a college bar. However, now and again I need to be on or near the campus, and this is a great place to stop for a quick beer. I tend to swing by at times when they aren't filled with the college crowd. I really like that the staff and patrons don't seem to mind or notice the age difference. Service is really good and usually that would be surprising at a college bar. Not here, they are on it. Friendly, efficient, and professional. The prices, as you might have guessed, are quite affordable. Again, college bar. Overall, I appreciate being able to swing by and not made to feel uncomfortable.

Came to watch the Tyson vs Paul fight. Unfortunately Netflix wasn't working properly and the stream kept buffering, but I was able to enjoy a tasty mango kart beer (which you can't find everywhere)! I have been desperately missing this beer so I was so happy to be able to enjoy it here. Love the outdoors seating area and the vibe here. Def full of college kids since it's by the frat/sorority houses. Love the food truck on the corner as well. Great spot

Cool place to hang out if you're ever on West Campus; the staff is very friendly, and they also have great drink specials throughout the week. Mostly a younger crowd because it's near the UT campus, but they also show sporting events on their TVs as well and have DJs periodically.

Cain and Ables is a classic bar for UT college students. It's definitely a younger crowd becuase it's located in west campus (the UT residential area). But it's the place to be especially on dollar beer Tuesdays. It does get pretty packed but that's part of the fun, if you're a student you will definitely run into friends. I usually get the pink tea which comes in a pitcher and is pretty good. I tried their tater tots the other day and they were very tasty. The vibe is super chill, perfect for a casual night out or catching a game with a big group. The energy is great. Props to the bartenders they are decently fast given the crowd. If you're in west campus, check out Cain & Abel's on Tuesdays for dollar beers.

Cute college bar to watch the game or have a few drinks at. Situated nicely in west campus with tons of outdoor seating but very limited indoor seating. Service is good, just a regular type of bar similar to Victory Lap down the road.

Amazing service, delicious food, and efficient staff members. Drake, Megan, and Shaan provided quick service and were so kind. I highly recommend returning. You will become friends with the staff, and feel at home. One of the best bars I've ever been to.

Ordered one drink, bartender informed me she charged for 2. She got what I assume to be her manager involved, who kept repeatedly asking if I wanted 2 drinks to which I repeatedly answered no, because IF I WANTED 2 DRINKS I WOULD'VE ORDERED 2 DRINKS. He then proceeded to spend 20 minutes with my credit card in hand to try to issue a simple refund only to tell me the charge wasn't on his system when my credit card was literally charged for it which I showed him. He didn't seem to care, kept repeating it wasn't in his system while rolling his eyes and throwing insults left and right as if he needed to prove himself to be macho to a literal 21 year woman. In the end, he couldn't even figure out a SIMPLE REFUND and the bartender offered to venmo me yet still venmoed the incorrect amount which was less than the actual amount she overcharged. Seriously incompetent and incredibly rude staff who seem to enjoy taking out their life troubles on a college student. Disgusting behavior. Reported to the BBB and this place will never see my or my friends money again. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE INSULTED FOR ASKING FOR WHAT YOU ACTUALLY ORDERED. Instead, I recommend you pregame at your own place and avoid giving this establishment another cent they don't deserve. For reference, the rude manager was white, older (maybe in his 30's-40's), and scrawny. If any upper management is seeing this, do yourself a favor and fire him. If the rude manager is reading this, I recommend getting a life so you don't feel the need to curse at young women because you can't do your job. What a scam.

Never been to this place before. Was told that they're the go to burgers near the campus. I got the wagyu double cheeseburgers and boy was it disappointing... the wagyu tasted like they had it refrigerated past it's prime, which is not a good thing. Besides that, nothing stood out about that burger whatsoever. I would completely avoid and just go for the normal beef burger at half the price. The AC line on top of where I was sitting was dripping on to the floor, my table, and got a bit of me as well. If it wasn't a part of UT's history, I don't see how this place would still be in business.

I've been going to this spot since their old location. The vibe is always on point! Especially, on Tuesday and Thursday, game days. Their kitchen has a great smash burger, yummy tots. All the bartenders are welcoming, and make you feel at home because of. The manager RJ is always attentive, he makes sure you have a drink in your hand. He is always on the move making sure everyone is having a good time.
