I was recently in town for my best friend's wedding and booked a double queen room for myself, fiancee and roommate. We were really happy we chose to stay here. The building is absolutely spotless, the staff is beyond friendly (thanks to Hunter and Paula at the front desk!!!) and it was safe. They frequently replenish their continental breakfast throughout the morning, which is awesome because most hotels tend to taper off their offerings towards 10 am. Our flight was delayed coming in and would cause us to miss the check-in cutoff... Hunter took the time to let us know it would be okay and that they would take care of us. Whew... we were already stressed out! Little gestures like that during our stay that really made it feel like home. My only con... LOL, is the pool is only 5 feet deep and there's no hot tub. Otherwise, I plan to stay there again when I'm in town.

Oh my.....the room was not pleasant smelling, but the worst was the location. Rough, real rough. Once you are in the room, stay there for the night.

The room was not clean when we arrived. Due to sheer exhaustion we stayed. The toilet was really dirt, the TV and dresser stand had stains all over them. The sheets and bedding were clean but the sheet had an iron burn area on it. It was a highway facing room and you could hear every sound from the highway. There was a bug in the bathroom and evidence of dead previous bugs in the bathroom (legs and wing carcass left behind). When we tried to move the next day because of various issues they were completely booked up. I understood that, it was a race weekend, but at over $300 a night in there should have been some sort of room discount offered or something. The food was okay but limited. Overall, the staff was the best thing this hotel had going for it. They were nice and tried to be helpful. I would not recommend staying here. There's better hotels in the area. The only reason we stayed was due to the limited occupancy in the area due to the F1 Race and the Garth Brooks concert!

I sincerely understand that Comfort Suites is a budget hotel brand, but this location is seriously one step above a flop house. Blackout curtains were torn in half, the couch in our room had two large tears through the cushions that looked like knife wounds, the breakfast was stale and cold when it was freshly brought out and our room (which overlooked I-35) had such a lack of soundproofing that we could hear the roar of the highway all night. Oh yeah...and then there were the empty beer bottles in the stairwell that stayed there the entirety of our stay, even though we told Management about it every day. So what really capped the 1-star review is the staff. Seriously, there is not one ounce of give-a-shit at the entire property. Just one incidence (there were more)... We asked for a late check out and were told that 11:30 was the latest. We asked if they would extend that to noon and were told it would cost us $25. Seriously? Noon checkout is a common policy. Not here. Neither is service, or courtesy, or cleanliness, there are other options in South Austin. You'd be wise to stay elsewhere.

I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the bathroom. There was mold in all four corners as well as on the handle. The toilet was not fully mounted on the floor. I booked this room for two nights so I could attend a family wedding but wish I'd spent the extra money to stay elsewhere.

My wife and I made a reservation for five nights in mid-November, 2023 for a vacation stay in Austin about over a month in advance. We flew in and went to the hotel to check in about 1:00 but had to wait until 3:00, no problem. The woman at the front desk was decidedly not friendly. When we came back at 3:00 I specifically asked her if our room was non-smoking and she curtly replied that "ALL OUR ROOMS ARE NON SMOKING." We went to our room 109 and when we went in, we were hit with the smell of disinfectant and cigar smoke. Having been travelling since 4:00 AM, we were exhausted and initially decided to make the best of it. However after a few minutes in the room we both started sneezing so we got up and looked around the room. The bathroom was not fully cleaned, and the toilet did not work properly (wouldn't flush paper and other substances). Looking up there was a hair net covering the smoke alarm on the ceiling. Turning down the sheets we were immediately hit by a more heavy cigar smoke from the pillows and sheets. I reported the issue to a young man at the front desk who mumbled words about people coming in off the street and smoking in the rooms. Not sure what that meant but he apologized and moved us to a 4th floor room which was much cleaner. It was a much better experience after that. Breakfast is nothing to brag about but it's there, and consistent. Overall appearance is good. There's a small outdoor pool and a workout area with equipment (didn't use). Overall, I'd probably stay there again if I just needed a room to stay at, but I'd request a higher floor, facing away from the highway and make sure it's clean and functional before settling in.

We called in to see if they have any rooms available and the lady at the front desk told us yes so we went to get a room and since is was about 5-6AM Sunday and she mentioned to us that our check out would be at Monday at 11AM , so we got a call from the front desk while we were asleep telling us we had to check out or they will charge us another day so I told him that the lady that checked us in told us we had until Monday and he said no that she is wrong , so I told him can we get an hour to gather our stuff and he straight up said NO , me and my girl had to shower and all and he only gave us 30 mins . Bad customer service by him , didn't get his name but he called us at 11:50 am. Overall very unprofessional way to handle a mistake that was done on their behalf . We feel like this could of handle different. We Do not recommend this place .

What was once dismissed as a mere design flaw now emerges as a chilling manifestation of the hotel's decrepit state--a breeding ground for pests that imperil not only the integrity of the premises but also the well-being of its unsuspecting guests. The implications of this revelation extend far beyond mere inconvenience, heralding a profound reckoning with the stark reality of the hotel's descent into decrepitude. It is imperative that prospective guests heed this cautionary tale and exercise vigilance in selecting accommodations that prioritize cleanliness, maintenance, and guest safety above all else. In the face of such egregious negligence, there can be no room for complacency or compromise.Review: I had to abruptly leave all my belonginga Hotel due to concerns for my health and my father's illness. Despite my initial guilt about leaving, my priority was my well-being and his. The hotel's lack of consideration for guests with health issues, like my epilepsy and asthma, was alarming. Even my dog, who oddly also has asthma, wasn't safe despite the supposed pet fee. While Marriott's Staybridge or van Zandt is our usual choice for extended stays or family stays , I opted for this pit of bugs because my apartment set it all up and I L tok nice , the experience was regrettable. The manager's claim of pest control was dubious; it seemed they handled it with cheap sprays. No guest should endure such neglect, regardless of cost. It's a shame to see a place with potential fall short of basic standards.

This hotel is taking great precaution cleaning and implementing mandatory masks inside the hotel itself. To access the pool/office/gym you need to make reservations and you have the whole place to yourself. The room was clean and comfortable and comes equipped with a mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, desk and a large comfy bed and shower. The water definitely has a water softener because my hair was the smoothest it has ever been! Great value and great location! I will definitely be back and recommend this place to anyone wanting a good night sleep and a clean, peaceful atmosphere.

This is a nice, updated hotel in a convenient, safe place in Austin. While it is next to a noisy highway, I stayed on the opposite side and I didn't even notice it. I did stay on the 2nd floor the first night and had to move to the 4th floor due to a very noisy neighbor. The hotel was able to take care of that very quickly, which I greatly appreciated. My only complaint is the WiFi, or lack there of. It was pretty terrible. But the rooms were huge, clean and set up very nicely! For the price, especially compared to others in the area, this hotel cannot be beat! Very friendly staff- thank you!
