What a great find! This little brunch spot was perfect for us this Sunday morning. We didn't want a long line, and the free-style here is to go place your order at the register first, then you get a number, pick up your glass to get your drinks and sit at your chosen table until the food is magically delivered in a few minutes. Perfect! We read from the varied menu es (they have 3) before going up to the register to place our order. We were there around 10:30 and there was no line, but around 11 am the line started forming, so get there early, although I have to say that it moved quick. The food arrived also fast, and it was tasty!! I enjoyed an avocado toast with egg and bacon: yum! We also ordered a steak chimichurri wrap: super juicy and delicious came with fries, and an egg spinach jalapeño with extra steak wrap that was also yummy... no complaints. Had a pleasant fun brunch and off we went to continue our Austin adventure!

A couple of friends and I went here for dinner because one of us is gluten-free, and they have a large gluten-free menu. You order at a counter and the staff brings the food out. We each tried a different entree. I had the salmon sriracha tacos which were really good and not too spicy. One friend tried the elotes chicken tacos which she said were very spicy. The third friend tried the salmon dinner, and she really liked it. Our only issue was that the restaurant was kind of dark, especially after sunset, and needed more lighting.

Today I decided to give Galaxy Cafe a whirl for the first time since it's close to where we live. It's self serve where you grab a menu and decide what you want and place an order with the cashier. Three menus: main, breakfast and gluten free. The restaurant is spacious with parties of all sizes: 1, 2, 4, 8 and 20. The wall design is abstract and modern, which I was pleasantly surprised by. I chose avocado toast, one of my favorite breakfast foods. The top of the avocado toast was good...a bit spicey. The bread, Swiss muesli, was very hard and I gave up on the bread after trying to cut one piece. The oatmeal chocolate chip cookie was very good. Firm on the outside and soft on the inside with melted chocolate chips inside. I will definitely stop by to get one of these cookies. This restaurant is family oriented. You can tell they have a number of regulars. The noise level is pretty high as I could hear the conversation of a group across the restaurant. I may come back and try another menu item.

Liked the fact they have gf and vegan choices , each location is set up differently and decorated differently, mostly nice staff and price is fair, been to different locations and had lemonade and strawberry cupcakes and gf bread with mushrooms avocado rice dry burgers vegan choice , sweet potatoes side, think that the mushroom need more flavor and rice burgers ingredients need more flavor it's always dry in the sides . Tomatoes are ok mostly

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. As first time patrons they gave us the quick rundown on ordering and the food. My wife and I both ordered wraps and both were amazing and fairly priced. Would definitely recommend.

I ordered the Roasted Veggie Buddha Bowl, which is vegan as-is. I asked about the dressing and the person about the counter was quick to open a binder that showed all ingredients, which I appreciated. This is definitely a local spot and not very cutesy/trendy like many popular Austin places, but it's a good place for a more classic breakfast or lunch option.

The food is so good here. I get the chimichurri wrap with mac n cheese everytime. I always order thrpugh doordash and my orders are always speedy!

Had the Zocalo Bowl and it was delicious! Fresh ingredients, generous portion and full of flavor. The service was outstanding! Love the local vibe. The ambiance is comfortable and clean. It was a quiet place and would be a great place to study/work but the lighting is terrible. Maybe little table lamps for evening dining. I'm sure it's great in the day time.

This is my first time at Galaxy Café. I was quite intrigued with their variety of offerings on their menu. I decided to try the galaxy bowl. I appreciated their choice of ingredients but think it wasn't as carefully crafted. The sweet potatoes had not been peeled, and the kale was served in quite a large piece that it was difficult to eat. The other ingredients were a little too overcooked. Everybody was pleasant and I appreciated the large dining room or option to sit outside. I will try it one more time to give it a fair shot.

Took forever. I ordered online I put in big bold letters to not use black pepper and the steak and salmon were covered in it. Way too Spicey They would have been good if not for that. The last few times I've eaten there and had an egg and a wrap there everything was spicy and full of pepper. Even the quiche didn't used to be is now spicy and full of pepper. People can add their own.
