The hardest part of your experience at IYKYK is deciding whether or not the skyline pics are going to be worth the logistical nightmare you'll end up facing (they are, we'll explain). The line to get in moves very slowly and when you're downstairs waiting for the elevator you wonder why only to realize they cram way a ton of people into what is a relatively small rooftop upstairs. The views of downtown Austin are phenomenal there, arguably the best in the area. The music is also pretty good leading to some good vibes. Just make sure that when you're vibing you 1. Don't touch the VIP ropes, they are incredibly serious about this for some reason and 2. You never have to go to the bathroom (it will be a 15 minute adventure capping off with pretty gross bathrooms). We didn't order any drinks and still had a pretty good time. Again, the view alone is honestly worth the trip up. We would say this is a fun place to be if you're riding the wave of the night into it but it's probably not where you start your fun if that makes sense.

Rating: 4.4/5 This spot definitely stands out with its eye-catching setup and rooftop bar. You enter through a well-lit entrance on the ground floor, walk past the food truck toward the giant "IYKYK" sign, then take a left to reach the elevator. The rooftop offers a spectacular view of downtown Austin. The dance floor is huge, though it was empty when we arrived at 9:30 PM on a Thursday. More people started coming in after 10 PM as we were leaving. The music was great, and my Mai Tai was solid (but I was pretty drunk so take this with a grain of salt). One thing to note--they have a communal-style restroom. Overall, it seems like a cool spot to wrap up the night, and I'd definitely bring friends here if I were in the area.

IYKYK is definitely a vibe, but be warned: the higher the rooftop, the closer to the sun. IYKYK is a rooftop bar, so there's no escaping the heat... or the rain... or the occasional Austin hail. It's a fun, quaint spot for a night out to dance and mingle, especially if you're looking to keep it lively on East 6th. Note: the music is unnecessarily loud, don't expect to hold a conversation. To access, enter through the side of Inn Cahoots and take the elevator up.

Service , drinks, are decent and prices are good. If you're looking for a chill , casual spot to hangout into the late hours, IYKYK checks out. Go upstairs to get good views of the city skyline and the club like atmosphere.

Visited Austin and checked out IYKYK--such a cool rooftop spot located on top of Inn Cahoots. The DJ was incredible and kept the energy going all night. The atmosphere was electric, the crowd was fun, and the views from the rooftop made it even better. Drinks were solid too--great place to hang out, dance, and enjoy the night. Definitely a highlight of the trip!

This place has a lot of potential, but it's somewhat stuffy. The people who come here are very pretentious and not my kind of vibe personally. But it's a beautiful venue with multiple floors, a lot of hidden speakeasy type venues in between, and friendly staff.

Went back recently to a completely different experience. First it was so loud you could not hold a conversation. There was a DJ blasting music to an empty dance floor with no seating except on the risers that were empty and corded off. I asked for a drink menu and they said they didn't have one. Such a 180 from my previous experience and will not make an effort to be back.

I stopped by IYKYK when they opened around 6pm on a Thursday night. The bar was empty, and I ordered one cider. The bartender asked if I wanted to close out but never handed me the tablet to review the charge or add a tip. A few days later, I noticed they added their own tip without my consent. That really rubbed me the wrong way. Customers should be given the option to tip -- not have it decided for them. I won't be returning. UPDATE: In response to the reply about the bartender adding a tip: I asked to close my tab when I ordered one cider. I was never shown the tablet, and the bartender added their own tip without my input. That's not acceptable. Train your staff to always let the customer review and approve the total.

Started with the Sunburnt Cowboy. Delicious if you're a cucumber lover. Wish they had more seating... not a heels kind of spot. Eric the manager greeted us on the way up and was very nice. Beautiful views of the city and the live band below.

This is a newer roof top bar located on the east side of Austin in the Inn Cahoots complex. Inn Cahoots is part speakeasy bar, part rooftop bar, part studio bar, and part outdoor garden bar area. To get to the rooftop bar, you enter through the side entrance and take the elevator up to the top. The space can get quite crowded on a beautiful day especially if there's live music on the rooftop. The rooftop provides a fantastic view of downtown, so try to catch it during a sunset. We only ordered one cocktail the last time we visited and it wasn't that good, but that doesn't mean another cocktail won't be better. They were also out of the first two beers we ordered.
