I first experienced Jet's Pizza back when I lived in Michigan a few years ago, and ever since I got introduced to the iconic Detroit-style pizza, I've never looked back! It is by far my favorite type of pizza (yes, even surpasses both NY-style and Chicago deep dish) because it's a thicker slice of pizza with a buttery and crunchy crust. The square-shaped slices are also much easier to hold and eat, and Jet's Pizza is particularly generous with their cheese and toppings. Lastly you'll love their creamy ranch to the point where you'll find yourself ordering a small bottle of it (yes, they sell bottles lol) and keeping the remaining goodness in your fridge for any future needs haha! :)

I never miss my quarterly guilty pleasure. I work close to the place and so glad I do. Can order the lunch special with a drink of choice and stay full all day. Pizza slices come Detroit style with that crispy butter crust and generous amount of toppings. The cheese is so flavorful you don't need to any anything. Quick courteous service in a casual environment. Love this place

Jet's is so good. I think Detroit style pizza is the most elite type of pizza yoh can get. Don't get it twisted, I love a normal hand-tossed or new york slice, but you have to be kidding yourself to say any other style tops detroit. The crispy edges, thicc crust, and pretty presentation will never cease to amaze me.

Most satisfying pizza I've had in a long while. Maybe ever. I decided to try this spot after seeing an ad in the paper. I know, how old fashioned. I had pretty mid expectations but seeing the Yelp reviews helped persuade me. Here's what you gotta do: get a 4 or 8 corner pineapple and pepperoni "well done". Perfect crispy crust with a soft interior. Cheesy, sweet and savory and just the right amount of oil. I was super surprised how much I enjoyed it, especially being someone who typically seeks out upscale Neapolitan style. I also appreciate how their large size is just two smalls put together so you get two full crusts around the inside. Well done. I'll be back when I need a fix.

I finally had the chance to try Jets during a business trip to Austin. Having never been inside the establishment before, I initially decided to place a carryout order. However, when I walked in to pick it up, I changed my mind and decided to sit down and enjoy my meal like a human being instead of a hungry animal at a buffet. It was around 12:30 p.m. when I handed my money to the efficient, polite, and patient pizza employee. I chose a seat by the window, which offered a nice view of the parking lot. It was a sunny day on a busy street, so there were plenty of people passing by to keep me entertained. I ordered the 4 Square Detroit pizza with light sauce, feta cheese (which I absolutely love on pizza), mushrooms, Ramano cheese crust with light pizza sauce and both black and green olives. The pizza was ready hot and just as they had predicted. When it arrived, it was hot and bubbly, and the crust was the best part. On a scale of 1 to 100, I would rate the crust a 90. It reminded me of the Sicilian pizza slices I used to order in Staten Island and Brooklyn during my teenage years. I have always enjoyed crusts that are a blend of crusty, chewy, soft, and crunchy--it almost defies the laws of physics. I loved how the olives paired with the feta cheese. However, I plan to make some adjustments next time to enhance my experience even further.The only thing that I didn't care too much for was the saltiness of the olives and the feta mixed with the Ramano cheese crust. So if I am ever going to treat myself to another Jet's visit I will still get feta but perhaps I will get the pizza on regular dough not the Ramano dough and have light amount of the olives or possibly leave of the green olives and get more mushrooms instead. I also think that it would have been tastier with the regular amount of pizza sauce, but I was afraid to order it that way as some places will serve a soggy dough due to the amount of sauce and toopings. As far as the price it was a bit higher than what I would normally pay for one person to eat lunch as it was just under $20. When I added the red gateraid and tipped I think it brought the order to $25. However, in Austin its a big more expensive then in San Antonio.The bathroom is also clean and there is ample parking there as well.

Solid, reliable, affordable Detroit style. If you're hosting a large get together and want to bulk introduce people to Detroit style pizza this is a great option! The best part of their pizza is the crust. It has the perfect balance of crisp and cheesiness and is absolutely the star of their pizza. The other aspects of the pizza are all just okay. The cheese and bread in particular leave a bit to be desired, but aren't subpar enough to make me disappointed given the price point Most Detroit style places I've gone to have been sit down, higher end takes. I don't think it's fair to compare Jet's to those places on quality since they're playing a different game. In terms of value, I'd say you get more bang for your buck at jets than via. But if you're looking to treat yourself, I think it's worth splurging for the higher end version of Detroit style With all that said, I can't imagine one coming away from here disappointed if they have appropriate expectations. The employees are friendly, they have a ton of different options to fit pretty much any dietary restriction. I can't imagine one asking for more form a neighborhood pizza place
