EDIT: at around 3am I called front desk again and they moved me to a room that didn't have a working AC - but it was significantly less loud. I am very appreciative -- Zero stars if I could. Staff was nice, but there was a constant loud rumbling/banging in my room that sounded like someone banging on the walls without ever stopping. Maintenance checked and said it is the AC on the roof. So loud. The staff agreed it's horrible and "unsleepable," but said there's nothing they can do because they are sold out. This has been the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Again, staff is fine, but the actual room is horrendous and I cannot believe they rented it out. I hope to never be in a position where I have to stay here again.

Stayed one night here room is clean, but pillows were all flat. Shower had weird stains but other than clean bathroom nice mirror with hotel sized shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Now for the courtyard.. roaches. During the day there's no problem pool is nice closes at 10pm but I would NOT be out there when the sun is down I didn't see any bugs in my room but wow the amount of large size roaches in that courtyard is a problem main reason for my negative score. So if you smoke and the sun is down just go in the front thank me later!

Extremely Noisy & "Unsleepable" Stay - No Real Solution Offered I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this La Quinta really deserves a warning to others. The staff were polite, but my room had a constant loud rumbling/banging noise--like someone pounding on the walls nonstop. It never stopped, not for a moment. Two front desk employees and a maintenance worker came to check and confirmed it was the AC unit on the roof. They all agreed it was "unsleepable," yet told me there was nothing they could do since the hotel was sold out. So basically, I was stuck in a room where they acknowledged no one could sleep, but offered no solution. By 3:00 AM on Sunday, after getting zero sleep, I called again. A different staff member finally said there was another room (Room 300), but the air conditioning wasn't working in it. We checked it together--no AC, but at least it was quiet--so I had to pack everything in the middle of the night and move rooms just to get any chance of rest. I appreciate the friendliness of the staff, but it doesn't make up for the fact that I paid for a room I literally couldn't sleep in, and only at 3 AM was I offered a room without AC as the "solution." Completely unacceptable for a hotel stay, especially at this price point. I would not stay here again.

Hot diggity dog, this place should be condemned. This seems like a common occurrence with most La Quinta in Austin. I stayed here on business trip. The quality of interior would have you think this hotel is abandoned; holes in walls, paint peeling, rusted parts, etc. Out of the whole place, there was only one elevator working. That thing seemed to be on its last leg too as it barely wanted to open. My hotel room was on the other side of where the elevator was so I had to hike with coming and going. The room itself was a tad outdated, but clean. The bed was soft and the only channels were four movie stations. The first night, I watched Ghost with Patrick Swayze and Whoopi Goldberg (a classic!). The AC blew cold and the curtains wouldn't open. The toiletries were Dove cucumber set with the tiniest dove bad soap I've ever seen. The front staff were nice. One gave me her heart pen and another smiled at me. The other guy met me and joked with me about my career. It was weird and offensive. For breakfast, there was only one thing I could eat with was the potatoes. They had the usual: came eggs, potatoes, bread, yogurt, fruit, but no meat this time. Thankfully, I only stayed here a night. The parking wrapped around the building with more in the back. The general area is a bit sketchy as old Montopolis used to be the ghetto, but they are slowly gentrifying it. As all things, you'd expect they would fix up the interior of the place with it being so close to the airport.

Rooms were large and pretty clean. At some point they did a renovation and cut a lot of corners where you can see where they repainted and re calked the showers. The room was a good value, my rete was really low and 6 minutes to the airport

Rude and unprofessional staff. Never staying here or at a La Quinta again. Charged more than booking confirmation indicated amd when I refused to pay it the dest clerk yelled at me to "get out". Demanded to speak with manager who was off property of course. Finally they took off added charge. When I asked for feather pillows to be removed due to allergies they never gave me other pillows. Had to use towels rolled up and one flat foam pillow in the room.

Worst La Quinta I've ever been too, the front deck lady who missing her 2 front teeth, showed me and my coworker with the most disrespect I've every received, and we had already paid for are room, we will never go back

Staff's great, rooms great, showers great. Very close to bus stop if you want to save money on transportation. Can the treadmills in the gym be fixed?

Nothing Special I'm a big fan of La Quinta, but I wasn't really impressed here. The room size was on the small side. No shuttle service for the airport. I had an issue with the ice machine, but the person at the desk offered no assistance. I expected a more for $160 - $190 a night. Positives: Denny's and Starbucks next door on either side.

This place is great, we got picked up at the airport, checked in with no problems, room was easy to find. The room is pretty big, and very clean. You have restaurants near by as well.
