I heart this place. Why? I got to attend a special concert with my special someone and my brother from another mother. But that's not the only reason. The sounds are awesome, no over saturated songs. The service at the concession stands is efficient and the staff is always friendly and quick. Getting in can be a bit crowded and cramped but once you're inside, it's easy sailing. Getting out is also a bit of a trick but I suspect there are a ton of secret exits to discover. Easy in, easy out.

Lovely space, reasonable seating, expensive beverages, no designated parking area. There are screens on either side of the stage to view the artists. This was helpful because it's always difficult to see with people in front of you. Overall, I like the space, it's probably much nicer when the weather is pleasant. Surprisingly you can't hear anything happening at DK Royal stadium, which was surprising.

Nice and compact amphitheater venue. We went for Goth Babe and Quinn Xcii and the sound was so clear and crisp. I even thought it was a record and they didn't sing lol. We didn't have any food but there were some options.

This is a fantastic venue and only lost 1 star due to the high price of drinks. But they do have some $12 beers that isn't too bad for a night out. The sound is excellent in most spots, except all the way to the right where you're no longer in front of the speakers and the sound gets a bit soft and just a so-so view.... So i grabbed an empty seat in the middle :)

In the heart of downtown Austin, Moody outdoor Amphitheater with a 5,000-capacity, is located in Waterloo Park, 11 acres of revitalized space featuring hike-and-bike trails, stunning Hill Country Gardens, welcoming gathering spaces. With year-round concerts, cultural events, community festivals, and so much more, Moody Amphitheater is your new go-to destination for live entertainment in downtown Austin. I have been to several concerts at this venue, including Boy George with Spoon and most recently Teddy Swims. You have to go through a metal detector to enter at the gate and then wait in a line to scan your ticket. They offer a wide variety of concession options throughout the venue, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food, and snacks. They are 100% cashless. They have a water filling station for hydration, but the water is not cold. The seats had good views from the area we were in. There is also an option to buy tickets to a green space in the back with open unassigned seating. There is not much shade so it can get very hot so it is important to stay hydrated. Overall, I have enjoyed coming to shows are this venue and this it is a very thoughtful and well designed outdoor green space.

This was my first time catching a concert at the amphitheater. My partner and I came to see Briston Maroney and Peach Pit, and we had seats on the lawn just behind the GA section. My initial impression was that the GA section was extremely small. It also looks like it would be unbearably hot in there. I definitely felt lucky to have a seat! We ended up checking the available tickets that were left and saw that there was a whole row available a few rows in front of us, so we moved up. I appreciated that there were huge water coolers spread out throughout the venue, and I also liked that there were real bathrooms instead of porta potty's. However, the bathrooms had no AC, very long lines, and were pretty dirty with minimal toilet paper. For parking, we parked on the east side of i35 and walked over. There is free parking on a lot of those side streets. Overall, it's a good venue that is centrally located, but tough to sit there during the hot summer months and some downsides just because of how many people are there at once. Nevertheless, I do think I'll be back at some point!

Technically a seasonal venue, the Moody offers more than just a live music venue. From Creek Show in the fall to summer strolls down Waller Creek to all the amenities of a park scape, Waterloo Greenway culminates in the Amphitheater. They have full concessions (usually at least one food truck is open for at least half the show), available vip upgrades on seating, and several nearby parking garages. The volunteers do a great job of helping you navigate the venue.

I've been to Moody a couple times now, but most recently to see Jelly Roll in concert. The venue itself is good overall. The seating can be a bit tight. There really isn't a bad seat/view. I've sat in the lower level and upper level, center and sides, and had a good view each time. The upper level really isn't that far from the performer compared to other venues. We learned the hard way there's only one escalator to the second level so if you walk away from that one, you'll have to complete a full circle or take the stairs. Jelly roll put on a wonderful show. The lines for concessions went quickly and there were plenty of options for overpriced food and drinks. We ended up getting chicken waffle fry nachos, which was decent. We were running late to the concert due to traffic so we ended up purchasing parking in one of the state parking garages nearby. There are many garages to choose from. Parking was $30 card only. No matter where you park, there's going to be a walk to the venue.

During 2021, I had the chance to see 311/Iration here. Iration played but 311 did not due to a thunderstorm about to come. Obviously I left being disappointed. Flash forward a few years to late mid-August of 2024 and 311 is here again with AWOL Nation and Neon Trees. Of course I wouldn't pass this up. The venue being outdoors, the entrance can be congested due to the bag searches so know which line you need to go into. Once you get in, the floorplan shows a curved area for seats with a standing area at the stage for up-close viewings. My friend and I got seats on the left side of the lawn but was able to see the bands pretty good. As always, all the bands crushed it and brought the energy. Sound quality is decent as it stays within the venue although you'll probably hear the music blocks away. The venue is a bit of a walk from city restaurants/bars so be prepared to get your steps in. I'll probably be here for another show down the road. Prayers no issues with weather!

Enjoyed this outdoor venue in the north side of downtown. Rideshare will drop you off on Trinity street behind the amphitheater and the lineup is a street over on Red River street. It's a brisk walk from the Red River entertainment district but probably a 20m walk up a moderate slope if your coming from downtown hotels. The lawn in front of the stage can be seated into a few sections or set up as a standing floor area. There's a secondary lawn area further out back. There are video screens as well that are decent for the venue but not huge festival screens. The sound is decent as well. If it's standing floor area, it could get pretty tight once the main act is on. Sometimes they will split the floor area into a VIP section up front. If you are trying to get out - I normally just wait for a group trying to leave to pass by and follow them out of the crowd is the easiest. Restrooms to the side. A good venue with lots of views of downtown and it brings in allot more acts into town that can't just yet fill up an arena and is too big for the indoor venues. The city also utilizes this venue for several local events as well to serve the community.
