We came here for a family day out and while we had been here before, it was the former teen's first time. They had a few new things and it was less crowded then our previous time, You go through at your own pace and while there are a few big things, it is mostly cool smaller things you see and do and they make the most of a small area. If it has one issue it is that for the cost it is very small and a few things are just variations on mirror copies which is neat but after the 4th one that is in a similar vein it is a little old. SHANA SAYS: Museum is fun and informative! Easy to navigate. Helpful staff. There are some really cool things like true mirrors and puzzles to do. Some classic 3D Art and the magic eye pictures. There is a room that spins around you and throws off your balance quite a bit. It is fun, but this will most likely be the last time. It is not really a repeat place as only minor things seems to change. We were here last in July 2023 and very little has been added or changed. It is fun to see once or show to a new person then repeat viewings don't add much for the price. Still in a one time visit it has a lot to do and some fun illusions then a gift shop at the end, the staff is mostly friendly and there are more things to do in the domain once you are done here.

Tickets bought online made for an easy checkin process. Didn't have a set expectation, and enjoyed the time there. After a quick into ( which we couldn't hear) we were set loose. The place was very busy so getting photos took a bit of time and having those without people were almost impossible. Took about 45 min to walk through, waiting for your turn to take a photo and Trying to solve the games towards the end. The idea behind this is clever and the optical illusion had me guessing. I could see if you had kiddos this would be great.

We visited the Museum of Illusions in Austin and spent about an hour exploring. For four people (two of us with military discount), we paid around $120 including tax. The military discount brought the price down to $24 plus tax per person, which was a nice perk. The museum is located in the Domain, right across from the Domain Farmers Market area. It started to get noticeably busy shortly after 11:00 AM, so I'd definitely recommend arriving early for the best experience and photo opportunities. The exhibits are fun and interactive, and there's plenty to engage both adults and kids. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful -- especially when it came to taking photos or guiding us through some of the illusions. That personal touch made the experience better. While it was a fun one-time activity, I'm not sure I'd go back again. It's worth checking out if you've never been, especially if you're in the area and looking for something unique to do

This is an interesting activity venue to visit but while the illusions are cool, it isn't much more than a carnival fun house. Over $60 for two people in exhibits that don't take more than 15 minutes to view. Save your money and visit Wonderspaces over in east Austin.

It's a cool space but what you get for the price does not add up. Luckily a couple of employees helped us figure out what to do for some photos. But other exhibits were not clear. It is also very short. It's self guided but you can easily be done in under 30 min.

While visiting Austin for a weekend getaway with my family we decided to check this place out . We have a Hopscotch in San Antonio that is similar to this place. There are a few cool and unique experiences here! Amazing to see how physics and proper placement of mirrors and other things can create such awesome illusions. Believe them when warned about the tunnel. It definitely creates the illusion that you are moving or falling even though you are still. Can be a bit nauseating so beware. We did enjoy the experience but I feel it is a bit small for what they charge .

Went here with a group of friends and had so much fun! This place sure does mess with your head. You can go in as a group or 1 at a time. You do need to keep moving since other groups are behind you. Parking was super easy to find and it right around the shopping centers/out door mall. The staff was nice and guided us when ever we didnt know how to do something lol We went in last minute and price was not bad for what you go through!
