Cockroaches, dirty bathrooms, dried throw up on back of bedroom door, skimpy stained bath towels, pleather couch is peeling, tub does ot drain when showering. We notified owners and they never fixed a thing..

This was a sweet, sweet place to stay. If you're thinking about renting a couple of hotel rooms, this condo is in an excellent location, offers free parking, is well-priced, and best of all, everything is opened by pin codes so it doesn't matter that I lose everything, including keys. The Railyard Oasis is clean and comfortable. It's decorated tastefully enough that I'd want to live here if I moved to Austin. The shelves are filled with good books, and secret compartments that look like other books.* The bathrooms are stocked with decent products. The kitchen is equipped with everything you'd need to cook, and more importantly, a sizable fridge to store all the extra barbecue you got because you're damned if you're going to wait over an hour and only order a pound of meat per head. If I could offer any advice, it would be to rig it so you only need the parking fob to get INTO the parking lot. It is actually a pain in the ass to need it to get out, especially since you need to leave it on the counter of the apartment when you leave. _____________ *We may or may not have left treasure inside one of them.

Awesome location, great management and wonderful stay, Spent a week in unit 225 (second building). Pluses--Austin Stays has a great manager. --full size appliances in the kitchen--cooking for every meal everything needed was there. Deeper tub, washer/dryer--all the comforts of home. Large comfortable seating in the living room, hair dryer, small coffee maker, toaster, ceiling fan in bedroom. Extra pillows/bedding. Assigned parking spot, double deadbolt on door, plenty of electrical outlets. It's a huge benefit being so close to where you need to be. The location is even closer than most of the closest hotels. It takes only 6 minutes to walk to the far end of the convention center from the unit--even less from building 1. If you don't like to cook, the Blue Grocery around the corner on 3rd street has prepared sandwiches and all types of healthy snack, meal and cooking items (expensive though)--lots of restaurants around as well. it's really convenient to have an assigned space and a gate opener and you don't have to worry about parking during your stay. In all--a really great stay--better than a hotel. Tips--make a menu in advance and buy groceries before you arrive. Bring detergent/dryer sheets, kleenex, and bar soap if those are items you will use. Unless you are traveling solo, send someone up to get the parking gate opener and unload from the parking lot.

Absolutely awful. Impossible to get a hold of anyone. No one answers the phone, email, or messages via booking.com. Give it a shot - try their number before you book and see if anyone answers. No communication whatsoever and booking.com informed us they overbooked their property 3 days before our stay and had to cancel on us. Good luck if you decide to stay here.

We (six girls) loved the Railyard Oasis! It is the perfect downtown location, we were walking to everything downtown has to offer. We parked our car and never had to use it again for our stay. Free parking is a plus downtown! The condo was not only beautifully decorated, but it was also comfortable. It was immaculate and all the beds were comfy. Ryan is such the perfect host!

Rented unit 330 on AirBnB. Margaux was a great rental agent. She was prompt & informative. It's a 1 bedroom. Location is perfect to downtown, Rainey Street, and several bus routes. Got the Metro bus from the airport & upgraded to a 24 hour ticket for $3.50 each. It took us right to the Railyard condos. Used ticket the next day to to to UT and to South Congress. Bed was comfy, keyless lock worked fine, shower had good water pressure, and washing machine & dryer worked fine. It's a bit noisy with the fire station nearby. Also sound really echoes in the hallways when neighbors come back from the bars at 2:30 AM. But I texted Margaux and she actually got up and asked them to quiet down. The price was about half of what the nearby hotels were charging for a weekend at end of April. We did not have a car and it worked out fine.

Not Recommended!!! We rented unit #350 this past weekend to celebrate my daughter's birthday in Austin. Location is great if you want to park and walk downtown. That is the only great thing about this unit. We paid over $900 to stay the weekend, which would have been worth it if the accommodations had been better. First, the door was supposed to unlock at 3:00, but it did not unlock until 3:15 so we were standing there waiting for 15 minutes. This unit came with 1 free parking space that required a gate clicker to get in the locked gate, which was supposed to be in the unit. Upon arrival, we could not find the clicker, so we texted, called and emailed Ryan, the owner to see what we can do. He NEVER responded until Sunday afternoon, after we had already left! We were forced to find other parking, blocks away, and pay for it. When he finally did respond, he suggested that perhaps we had misplaced the clicker. We never even saw one in the unit! Ryan said he would speak to his business partners about reimbursing us the parking cost, but of course, we never heard back from him. The unit was plenty roomy for 7 people, but there was a leak in the refrigerator that caused water to appear on the floor several times, so we had to keep mopping it up. Kitchen was not well stocked for cooking. There was broken glass at the bottom of the dishwasher, no hand or dish soap in kitchen. The master bath had a leak around the bottom of the toilet so water kept seeping on the floor. The other bathroom had a very slow moving drain. Furniture was just ok, couch wobbly and a chair broken in the master bedroom. Overall just not very clean. In addition, the noise factor was horrible. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is not your place! Folks coming in at all hours of the morning from partying were yelling and laughing and the unit is not at all soundproof, so you are not going to get a decent nights sleep. Construction in the area starts up bright and early on Saturday morning too. Thin windows means you hear it all. Plenty of nice hotels in the area that would have been a lot more comfortable. The fact that Ryan was so unresponsive and pretty much unapologetic about our complaints make me give this place a 1 star.

The location is awesome and the amenities are fine -- however not worth the price tag. The major complaint I have which is not expressed in other reviews I've read is that this location does NOT accommodate 8 people. It is advertised to accommodate 8 people and that is a HUGE stretch. There are 3 bedrooms with full size beds, one couch in the middle of the common area and they provide 2 twin size air mattresses. One of the air mattresses would not stay inflated, leaving one of our friends sleeping on the couch (and thus hardly sleeping at all). I was on the other air mattress next to one of the full size beds, making for a very cramped room and uncomfortable sleeping location. For 3 nights, each of the 8 of us paid $230 (which included the extra fees and cleaning fee). For that cost, we could have easily stayed at a hotel and each had a bed. Also, as a warning -- there is A LOT of road noise. The condo is on the first floor on the corner of an intersection with a lot of people walking to bars and sirens directly outside the windows at all hours of the day/night. Even when wanting to get some sleep at 3am, it was a little tough. Loved Austin, but wouldn't stay at this location again.
