We stayed for a week visiting family, they had just had a baby and didn't have a large place. So we opted for something affordable with a kitchen. When I booked the room it was $150 extra for the kitchen over the kitchenette. I wish I wouldn't have booked the kitchen. The rooms were clean and everything worked. They have been recently updated. But you can tell they didn't do much to the bathrooms. The room had a bad moldy smell in the bathroom, there is no vent/fan. Every-time you take a shower all the condensation is being trapped in the room, I'm pretty sure they need to be inspected. Some of the drywall is bubbling, showing water damage. The kitchen had absolutely nothing for you to cook with. It had one pan, four plates & bowls, cups, silverware & three spatulas. Not a single large mixing bowl, no cutting board, no sharpish knives, nothing else. You don't realize how hard it is to make a meal when there is nothing to make it with. I was not trying to make anything fancy, just a breakfast sandwich with store bought bread & sausage. There was no sponge to clean the dishes. When we asked for any, they said use a washcloth. You would have to purchase your own stuff to actually use the kitchen here. The breakfast buffet was standard, steamed eggs, bacon or sausage patties, cereal, yogurts, bagels & a pancake machine. None of it actually tasted good, we grabbed some of the yogurts and my kids ate some pancakes. Steamed eggs are particularly unpleasant in my opinion. They also could have been dehydrated eggs. Everything else was store bought and reheated. The pool was fine, but there were several smoking areas and we were constantly surrounded by smoke. Making it difficult to enjoy the pool. One guy would sit out there and chain smoke from morning to late in the evening watching a show on his iPad. At night he was drinking, singing and being loud and another guest yelled at him. Some other guests came and sat by the pool talking loudly on the phone. They acted annoyed if they got splashed by my kids. It's a very small pool area and there were lots of other areas to sit, not near the pool. You could sit above the pool, or next to the pool outside of the gates and not get wet. Apparently kids using a pool, is a problem? I was very disappointed with the kitchen setup and the moldy rooms. Weird & negative interactions with guests. Overall, I would not stay here again. I guess you get what you pay for.

LOVED this hotel. The staff was EXCELLENT- special shoutout to Mike at checkout. Clean, clean rooms. The setup is perfect if you're traveling with a snorer.... There is a couch and doors between the couch and bed. Perfect from check in to check out.

This place is gorgeous outside and the rooms are wonderful and clean! They are pet friendly which is a huge plus! Daniel was on duty when I came in and each time I walked by he had a huge smile and waved at me! He was a very sweet guy. Breakfast was decent, I wish the hours were longer but it's not a huge issue. I also wish they left coffee and tea bags out all day long. Overall I was extremely happy with my stay! Oh and if you have been to their backyard, you gotta check it out! So cute!

This play sweat very nice. The beds and the room were accommodating as needed. I love the fact that each one had its own shower or tub and of course toilet. That way we could separate ourselves from the kids and they also allow pets as well. The only issue was the washer and dryer were extremely, extremely, extremely nasty.

Had a chance to stay at this hotel recently. We were only staying there for a couple of days, but it looks like most of the folks staying there are there for multiple weeks at a time, many of them military members in Austin for training. Our room was nice, and the facilities are good. The breakfast in the morning is better than most I have been to at hotels, so that is an absolute plus.

The suite was designed for comfort and privacy. At check-in the staff was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spacious, clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend and don't skip out on the delicious breakfast!

The staff is absolutely amazing!!! Anthony is so sweet and kind. Always has a smile on his face. Daniel is also very nice and is always polite. Michael and Jalen are so nice and funny. They go above and beyond for any needs you need. Always greet you and wave when you walk in. Also everyone says goodbye as well. Makes you never want to leave. Hands down the best experience I had in a hotel. Rooms are big and clean the whole building is kept in really good standing. Smells amazing everyone. Really makes you feel like home. Breakfast is always amazing. Keep up the great work.

If you love your life don't go there because any second one stranger can call you saying like "hey I have 2 weapons right now and one of them is pointing at you" and guess what management will say that Oh, what you are talking about this never happened! Good luck with your journey!

The reason I'm giving this place four stars is because of the rough experience that I had. My friend and I flew out from NJ to remotely work for a week in Austin, TX. We ensured all amenities were what we needed before getting there (free breakfast, pool to relax at lunch, laundry, business center). This hotel checked all the boxes. This hotel definitely has potential, but it isn't living up to it. We needed to use the computers in the business center, but they both were not working. Breakfast "ran out of cereal and muffins". Showerhead was leaking to the wall. People were taking up multiple washing machines to the point that we had to make 4 separate trips down just to find available machines. To make matters worse, the pool was not open. To the hotels credit, I called corporate and complained and the manager was really helpful. He had maintenance swap out the showerhead with a new one in a few minutes. For breakfast, he personally went out of his way to grab cereals and muffins from the supermarkets so we had those the next few days. The pool being closed was a let down, but it is what it is. As for the laundry machines, there really was nothing they could do. Because they tried their best to remedy the situation instantly, they deserve the four stars. Also, the hotel is located at a close enough distance to Austin so the uber rides were super cheap.

My hotel checklist and how this Staybridge compares. Got a queen bed one room for 5 nights in room 413 in Feb 2018. Same queen bed studio suite in room 225 in Jan 2019. *Comfy bed - yes not too firm or soft and apparently the mattresses are from summer 2016 so about 2 Years old *Full length mirror - yes but super dim lighting for the full mirror. The bathroom mirror with good lighting is kinda far away with the counter so it's hard to do my makeup up close. *Blow dryer - weak :/ and attached to the wall. *Free WiFi - it's kinda slow but it is consistent, so I can connect to my work VPN and it won't drop overnight which is super helpful for me if I'm running stuff. *TV - all the necessary cable channels and printed TV guide. No guide though so don't know what's on what channel. Also No olympics channel. *Blackout curtains - could be better; they don't reach to cover the entire window completely. *Microwave - check! Plus popcorn! *Full fridge - check! Freezer has Ice maker too! The one in room 225 makes lots of noises though so wish it could have been a bit quieter. *AC / Heating - works well but super noisy! definitely a problem if you are a light sleeper. I don't usually hear it kick on but it blows pretty hard and is loud. *Shower - water pressure is good, and their hot water problems have been fixed! They replaced their boilers sometime before my Jan 2019 visit so hot water is consistent and hot. No more problems with it running out or going in and out of temperature. *Outdoor noise - room 413 although the top floor is still right above the hotel entrance and the street noise at the intersection can be seen and heard. It's not a major street, but still expect some minor noise. *Towels - clean but very starchy and pretty rough. *Kleenex - too rough! Would definitely need be softer if it's allergy season. *Complimentary Breakfast - One of the egg omelette things was nauseatingly cheesy. The other one with bell peppers and ham was better. Sausage and potatoes accompanied the egg omelette one morning and sausage and French toast strips the next day. Both are just okay. Ham is also sometimes an option which is my preference. The oatmeal was good with all my needed toppings (raisins and brown sugar). Fresh cut fruit had sweet cantaloupe and honeydew, with pineapple and grapes too, but apparently not available everyday. Canned peaches were there the following Saturday morning breakfast. They do have a Texas shaped waffle machine which takes a few minutes and offers a good waffle! They also have bagels, pastries, cereal from Containers (no take home), yogurt (Yoplait, Chobani and sometimes Activia) , milk, juice, coffee and tea. Very few pieces of whole fruit to snack on though later. *Complimentary dinner and sips on M-W - didn't get to try this time. Previously I've had fajita taco night which was a bit like hospital food - not bad but also not really good. Nice enough when you are too lazy or sick to eat out though.
