You have to try!! Ever since I went to Mexico earlier this year, my taco experience has not been the same (the ones in Mexico are better, duh!) but the tacos here are legit!! They remind me of Mexico and they taste sooo good. Get the al pastor!! I'm drooling just thinking about it. We're so lucky. Lots of parking here too. There are other food trucks but just go to this one. It's so worth it. There's a treehouse here.

Who doesn't love breakfast tacos?! They're an Austin staple that needs no persuasion. Located in Southeast Austin in the Treehouse Park food trucks, Taqueria Monarca is a staple. Not only do they serve breakfast tacos, but they also serve an assortment of other Mexican classics such as tortes, burritos, gorditas and more. My go-tos are the Migas and the Papas con Huevo (potatoes with egg) tacos. They make fresh flour tortillas and are a small family owned business. They aren't greedy with their sauces either. If you ask nicely, they'll let you borrow a squeeze bottle. Unfortunately, there's a competitor a few trucks down and I think they are superior in terms of the way they make their tacos and sauces. The eggs are more moist versus at Taqueria Monarca.
