We have worked with Satori and her team several times, as a vendor. She is extremely responsive, fun and organized. All of the events we have done with her have gone off without a hitch! We definitely recommend Satori, not only are her event gorgeous, but she is fantastic to work with!

We hired Satori and The Blueprint Events for day-of coordination. We started with an initial meeting where Satori got to know us as a couple and what our vision was for our wedding. She did give us suggestions on vendors and a general timeline. We had a couple more meetings throughout the year and she was available for any questions I had along the way. I planned our wedding including meeting with vendors, negotiating and signing contracts, and creating a final spreadsheet with all of our day-of information and then communicated that information to Satori and her team to execute day-of. Overall, the service was great (and 5 stars!) up until the wedding day. However, the week before the wedding Satori unfortunately fell ill and (understandably) became difficult to get in touch with. I'm definitely not docking stars for an illness, but instead because we had signed a contract with Blueprint Events with the understanding that we would have a coordinator and one assistant available day-of. Satori was supposed to be the coordinator and Alex her assistant, so given the circumstances Alex stepped in as the main point of contact the week of our wedding. I had never met with Alex before and unfortunately wasn't able to meet with her in person and so had to run-down the wedding day plan over the phone. Alex did an okay job given the circumstances, but my biggest concern and disappointment was that she did not have an assistant with her. I had the understanding that included in our package (and confirmed by Satori when I had asked prior to signing the contract) was a coordinator and an assistant. Because we didn't receive an assistant (which would have helped with a few minor hiccups that day) I did ask for a refund to cover the lack of assistant. Fortunately, I was able to speak with Satori after the event about what went well and what didn't. Satori was eventually understanding of the situation and did give me a refund for the lack of an assistant day-of, which I appreciate. Overall, our wedding day was still great in every other way. I think the timing of Satori's illness was unfortunate (and obviously out of anyone's control) and led to a few minor problems that likely wouldn't have happened otherwise. I'm thankful for Satori's service and follow-up after the wedding.

Satori (the main planner) did not come to our wedding. We were given no communication beforehand that she was out of the country at the time, and although it was for an emergent reason, we only learned that she would not be present after the first wedding event (it was a South Indian wedding with multiple events over 2 days). In the beginning, almost a year before the wedding, Satori was very helpful in the planning phase and suggested several genuine vendors for us to use. She was enthusiastic and tried to make sure that we weren't stressed out. We hired her and picked her middle package, which included contract negotiations --- she was very helpful in negotiating some of the first couple of contracts with the vendors that she recommended. We chose a 3rd party wedding designer rather than use her services, and let her know this decision far in advance. She said that it wouldn't be an issue at the time. She eventually admitted that she had never been in this position before, and (for some understandable reasons) did not get along with our wedding designer at all. Either way, I was forced to set up some kind of communication between them since they had not communicated at all until about 2-3 months before the wedding. As the wedding drew closer, Satori planned less and less. Out of stress, my future father-in-law and I began to try to come up with some timelines and planning. There was an entire month, 3 months before the wedding, where we did not receive a single returned email or phone call from Blueprint Events. She sent her sister, Alex, in her stead. We had met with Alex during the planning phase, and she had been helpful then in planning logistics. However, she was not involved in any communications leading up the wedding. She was therefore woefully unprepared at the actual event, and Satori was unable to send her updated timelines and logistics. Here is an abbreviated list of some of the things that went wrong: Nobody at Blueprint was technical enough to understand Google Drive. They claimed that the designer did not have the seating layout since he did not have it in print. Due to this, the layout was changed on the day of the reception, hours before the event by Alex, who had an older iteration of the layout. Blueprint Events made our seating charts. There were two charts: one for names A - L, and one for names M - Z. Although the design was very nice, they unfortunately printed and brought two A - L charts. They attempted to remedy this, but were unable to do so in time. They also were not able to come up with an alternative method to communicate seating to the M - Z guests, leading to mass confusion. Some guests wondered if they were even invited or not! If my brother had not texted my wife and I to finish eating and come upstairs before our entrance into the reception, we would have missed it. Alex never texted us, though she had our numbers. One of our vendors thought the wedding was on a different day --- we were still stuck paying the vendor's bill because of that error. The worst offense: Alex yelled at my mother in front of several other guests. Whatever she said was bad enough that my sister-in-law had to step in to defend my mother at the time. Part of the one star that Blueprint earned goes towards the fact that I demanded an apology from Alex direct to my mother, and she did apologize. It does not erase the fact that this happened. I suppose Satori caught wind of the mess of planning, because she sent a stiff email to myself and my wife on our wedding night blaming all of the issues on the 3rd party vendors that she had not recommended. It shouldn't matter how stressful a wedding gets for the planner --- that is why we hired one. And while even that is excusable, having a nasty attitude towards family and friends while blaming everyone around you is absolutely not. I'm glad they were able to plan other people's weddings successfully, but based on my experience, my wedding day was pretty much ruined. I suppose I'm still not over it, 8 months later, since I'm writing this review. Hire this company at your own risk. TL;DR: I was stuck planning and halfway running my own wedding with my father-in-law because Blueprint didn't have anything together. We paid a large sum of money for half of a seating chart, a great list of recommended vendors, and about 25% of wedding planning. After a rash of excuses and finger-pointing, we still don't really know how everything went so colossally wrong, and Blueprint sure as heck didn't care enough to talk it out with us.

We used Blueprint Events planning services for our wedding in March 2015. We had 3 wedding events, a Pakistani mendhi, American wedding ceremony, and a fusion reception. As some background to us as a couple, we are a mixed/integrated couple that wanted a Italian/American/Pakistani wedding that had both touches of traditional and contemporary elements. Our wedding was in a small town outside of Austin, TX (Marble Falls) on a gorgeous ranch! We initially started with the planning services with Satori (she is wonderful!) but ended up using other services through the company as well, linens, flowers, decor, etc because they a great service value price point. My favorite things about Satori/BluePrint: - Her high energy level, positive attitude, and creative thinking! She really took time to get to know me as a person and us as a couple when she recommended ideas for the wedding. It felt very personal, like she was my friend of many years. - She is resourceful and honest, she appreciates your hard earn money and helps put every penny to work! She will tell you where its worth to put the extra money, extra time and extra energy in your wedding and on the flip side where you can get away with cheaper alternatives. - She has the logistics down! She thinks of all the details, is organized, and makes a wonderful agenda for your bridal party, vendors, families to follow. - She is great with people! Every family has a multitude of personalities and needs--she was able to navigate and communicate with everyone - She always offered services through blueprint for decors, flowers, etc but ALWAYS gave me quotes for other companies as well. It was important to me to always compare market prices. - My family has several creative people (especially my sister and mother-in-law) who were eager to help make items for the wedding. She really encouraged them to get involved and helped in whatever way she could. - Her contingency plans are amazing! All along we had a 10-12% chance of light rain then the week of the wedding, it changed to 95% thunderstorm! She basically planned an ENTIRE new wedding in that week for us! We already had family in town and were pretty limited on free time. She knew us so well at this point that she knew exactly what we would like and not like. Our indoor reception ended up being GORGEOUS! Two things that really stood out to me when I first met her: - She was always accommodating to my schedule. She would do late night calls with me, meet me in Austin or Houston to help me minimize how much time I had to take off of work for wedding planning. - Most wedding related businesses really push the "this wedding is the most important thing in your life" model, which in a way is great to see such passion in people who are in the business. Quite frankly, for me though, I entirely disagree. Weddings are important, they are meaningful, but they aren't the MOST of anything. I appreciated that Satori was very passionate about what she did but understood how I felt about weddings and respected it. I never felt pushed into decisions. Ultimately, our 3 day wedding went amazing! Everyone was raving about beautiful everything was, how thoughtful and personality filled our wedding was, and how much fun and stress-free it felt! We are very happy we decided to have a planner and chose BluePrints/Satori!
