The pool is very beautiful and for hotel guests/their guests only. Veracruz Naturals is located in the hotel and a delicious fresh tacos. Perfect for a breakfast poolside. Walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors' arguments thru the walls (we know from experience).

We had a company event at LINE. I've enjoyed my stay here. Great to have access to the swimming pool. I stayed four nights at a suite and it has very nice city views. The only thing that's a little weird is having a big mirror inside of the shower.

The hotel is hipster and such a vibe. We stayed at The Line for a week while in town for an event, it was a great place for "home base". Good location, friendly staff, quiet and comfortable rooms, good food options, cozy lobby and the coffee at Alfred is fantastic. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Our suite was beautiful with a nice view of the Lake and prime viewing spot to see the bats at sunset. There are not a lot of room service options but other than that our stay was fantastic. Arlo Grey is their largest restaurant with the chef from Top Chef. They do a great tasting menu experience on Thursday nights (note this restaurant is closed to the public on Mon & Tues). Their chicken shintzel is excellent! The gym has a squat rack which was a bonus. We will def stay here again on our next trip to Austin.

Weird dark art I'm not really feeling. Nice lobby and public areas. But the price of the room is not worth the room. Literally just a mattress on the ground with a plywood frame and a little tv on the wall. Valet guys were all super nice and cool.

Overrated overpriced hotel. Nothing is free or complimentary. No free bottle of water. There is a QR code for mini bar. The Nespresso coffee may be free but the cups they provide don't fit. They only provide free coffee on Monday mornings. We went to the Starbucks in the hotel across the street. The breakfast is order in only. The bath products is called cowshed and frankly stinks. They run low on wash cloths. The beds are platform mattresses and low to ground. The place is old not what you see in the photos. The lighting everywhere is dim. The staff is mostly Gen Z'ers and indifferent. Parking is valet only and $54 per day. We came here for our honeymoon. Most places would have offered a free glass of champagne. Not this place. The location is good. I can't think of anything else positive.

We had such an awesome stay at The Line in Austin!! This was my first time in Austin and we had so much fun I can't wait to go back again. I know where I'm staying when the time comes. :) The Line was clean, modern, chic, and trendy but not in an overkill tacky way. We also had a great view of Austin from our window and loved the beds and pillows. Truly SO so comfortable. We were joking that we should've asked the front desk for their brand book so we could order the same mattress and pillows for ourselves LOL. Not to mention how perfectly located it is. Everything was a 10-12 minute drive away from us or less. Granted, Austin is a pretty compact/small city but the location of The Line was perfect. All in all, the staff was super nice that we interacted with. The valet system was straight forward for parking and also run by hard workers and friendly folks. A little pricey but what can you do. The pool was UNREAL. It has an area that is 6 inches deep so you can gradually step down into the pool and it was warm too. One of the most perfect pools honestly. Another perk: it has an Alfred's coffee, a resturant downstairs that we didn't end up trying, and a Veracruz attached so there were plenty of options!

My husband and I visited Austin for our anniversary and booked the Line for a view of the bat bridge from our room, which unfortunately it was an unusually cold weekend so no bats came out. The restaurant Arlo Grey from the top chef winner is also on the first floor, so it was nice to be able to easily sit at the casual bar. Our room was nice and spacious, but something about the room felt old even if it seemed like some things had been renovated. For example, the room would smell smoky and musty whenever we turned the heater on. The main reason for my 3 star review is because the service is truly abysmal. It seems like the hotel phones don't work so it's impossible to call guest services, and when you go downstairs to the front desk the line is usually huge and slow-moving. Because the phones don't work, we had no choice but to check out in person which is disappointingly outdated and inefficient for such an expensive hotel. We had requested for an in room refrigerator to store food, and although guest services had followed up on our request they stopped responding to text messages and we never got the refrigerator throughout our 3 day stay.

Security was notified about a woman being beaten in one of their rooms. They threatened to evict the women that were reporting it if they called the police.

There is not a 4-star hotel more gilded than The Line... At first glance, it looks fun and trendy, the pool stays busy, and there's no shortage of stylish looking restaurants or spaces. However, once you order from Alfred for a coffee and/or enter the elevator, that's when the seams start to tear. The rooms look worn, the carpets have seen better days, and overall, it seems like the property manager is so focused on appearances in the lobby, they just gave up completely on the quality of the actual hotel. It's disappointing, especially given the hotel's prime location in the heart of downtown, right by the Congress "Bat" Bridge. Seriously, this hotel needs to be bought out by a more reputable company to give it the TLC it deserves. Anyone calling this a luxury experience likely hasn't experienced real luxury.

Yikes - came here for our anniversary and not only were the staff completely uninterested in helping anyone (at the desk or on the phone) but they're also pretty pretentious. Outside of the staff, the rooms were disgusting and dingy. The worstttttt mattress I've ever slept on..and in a suite so save your money go elsewhere. Also, good luck trying to enjoy the pool - people go before the pool even opens to save seats which is just ridiculous (even on the weekends when the pool is "reserved" for guests..not even close to accurate as people stand at the doors and wait until someone opens the door. The ONLY positive experience we had here was at Veracruz for lunch (even though the order was incorrect).
