My favorite thing about Torchy's is definitely their green chile queso and chips--so good! I also really like the Hillbilly Queso. It's my go-to spot to hang out with family or friends over margaritas and chips. I'm not the biggest fan of their tacos, but I'll always come back for the queso and drinks. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving good vibes and great queso!

i love torchy's for their tacos and queso. i recommend the beef fajita with the green chilli queso and chips. their queso is so creamy and rich with flavor. however, i recently went to try one of their torched bowls due to a promotion of getting it for free. i was sadly disappointed. there are only a few options, so i tried the moon tower with grilled shrimp. i enjoyed the flavor of the grilled shrimp but overall was not satisfied with the bowl. it was okay but wasn't filling and i wouldn't be happy to pay $12 for it. service was friendly and inside was clean with lots of seating areas. would highly recommend recommend their tacos and queso not so much their bowls.

OMG, a Threesome is always welcomed, especially when it's with salsa, guacamole, and green chili queso and unlimited chips! The Grande steak burrito was delish... The Republican tacos were scrumptious... The Trailer Park taco was my fav as it hit home for me! The place was pumping their AC and the service was uber friendly and swift! Food: 4,8 Service: 4,7 Ambiance: 4 Total: 4.5 Definitely made the weekly rotation ;D

Did we spot Bruce Willis in front of Torchy's? Anyways, back to Torchy's. Danni and Moses were very helpful and I was excited to try The Republican gluten free and dairy free (because of Danni's expertise). It was smoky and not fatty. Loved it. The boys liked the swivel chairs. Great spot to go to when visiting the library.

Torchy's was recommended by a few people so I made time to stop in for lunch while visiting. I will preface with the fact that I'm not the biggest taco fan. The tacos were okay, they weren't mind blowing LIKE THE QUESO. This was the best queso I've had in a long time. Whatever you do get the chips and queso. Maybe a double order haha you won't be disappointed.

I hadn't been to a Torchy's location in ages, so while I was visiting Austin I had to stop my to get my fix. Earlier in the day I had already been to Velvet Tacos, so I was able to do a more direct comparison. It wasn't like I remembered, the hot sauce on the side is still pretty good, but the tacos themselves were fairly bland and very bean heavy in flavor. The service was fast and the staff was friendly, the ambiance was nice too, but definitely not worth it in my opinion unless you're right by it and very hungry. Food: 3/5 Service: 3.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value: 2.5/5 Overall: 3.33/5

Far and away the worst Torchy's I've been to. Self ordering is slow and clunky but you usually have no choice since there's nobody at the register. Bathroom was dirty and there was no toilet paper. Churros were burnt and order was wrong. Drive a little further and hit up one of the other ones where, bonus, parking is free and plentiful.

I liked their self-order option. Very convenient and easy to use. We went during their closing time, but was still able to get food. We got Trailer Park, bush wire and Democrat tacos. They were around $5-6 each. We made it trashy, meaning they drizzled cheese on it. The orange spicy soup was also a great addition. We also got Mexican rice and chips/queso. Overall a quick and easy TexMex experience.

Great experience. My only critique is that the tacos were a little cold. Besides that, amazing. The tacos are HUGE. Seriously. The potions are very generous. They also taste delicious. Very flavorful with fresh ingredients. I 10/10 would recommend the Tipsy Chick for the bacon marmalade alone. SO SO GOOD. Also, the chips & queso were fire. Literally. It's spicy, which I enjoyed, but something to beware if you don't like spicy food.

Decent deal at happy hour. Tacos were just ok - lukewarm at best. Service was good, big space. Sangria was great - they don't have wine on offer. So many amazing spots for tacos that I would be hard pressed to come back
