No issues with my arriving or departing flights. Check in, lounge and gate agents were all friendly. Decent lounge located near upstairs right outside the security lanes.

Twas sad that they changed our flight due to maintenance issue. We are on our honeymoon but it was heartbreaking for the first day! Despite the pain, the staff member booked us another flight from another airline company. Please be more reliable America airline!

Cancelled flights and poor customer service. Used to fly United between Zurich and Austin 4-8 times per year until they canceled my flights in Newark and Washington leaving me stranded overnight, with zero compensation and I had to pay for the hotel. Shameful!

Untied Airlines surprisingly made my trip as amazing as Delta! Give them a try, they are underrated.

I wish minus 10 was an option!!! After a harrowing morning and a horrible flight I made it to DC. After decades of traveling, I am disgusted & continually disappointed in the service provided by airlines and airports. I left my house at 4:45 am this morning to catch a 7:05 am flight. I get to the airport no problem, the airport is crazy. Lines of people standing everywhere. It appeared like some Airport employees are standing around with the deer in the headlights look. Few are working frantically to move people along. It takes a half an hour to get my boarding pass, pay $40 and check in my bag. By the way, the policy for an economy ticket is you can only have one small carry on which is my laptop bag. I walk over to the TSA PRECHECK and it is longer than the regular line, another 15 minutes. I get past security and go to the gate. I am early so that is good, sitting, sitting, no sign of the flight to DC. It is now 25 minutes before alleged take off, I check with someone sitting near me and she didn't hear anything. I check the app, no update showing on time departure. I wait another 5 minutes then check again, the gate changed, no announcement. The other gate is at the end of the terminal, I start hauling XXX across the terminal. Absolutely a sight to behold. I get to the gate, there is a line to ask a question, still no announcements. I tell the guy at the gate, y'all should make an announcement about the gate change, he just looked at me incredulously and said nothing. Here is what the announcement they made 12 times said if you are in row 36 and beyond, I was, there won't be any overhead room so you will have to place your carry on under the seat basically where your legs should be...unbelievable! So in conclusion, all airline companies need to be held accountable for how they treat customers, the pack them in like sardines policy, the price gouging, the poor service and attitude, the small seats and the old disgusting unsafe planes. I am tired of paying hundreds of dollars to sit practically in the bathroom, after they changed my seat for no good reason & put me in a middle seat in the last row. Thanks United!

What a complete mess! We scheduled a vacation through United vacations and then they messed up all the dates! They scheduled the hotel for one set of dates and the flights for another. We kept trying to check our flights and had a confirmation letter but could not see them. So we showed up on our dates at the airport... When we showed up we discovered they had them booked wrong. The only bright spot was that the lady behind the counter fixed them. It took some work, and lots of time, but they got them corrected. Then the flights... both of them had some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. Just rude flight attendants who were obviously in need of a career change! Sullen, short, and just pissy! They were seriously terrible... ignoring people, cutting them off, and dismissing them. On the way back we got to fly in a plane with zero amenities. No tvs, no outlets, no nothing. It was a long flight and for the kids to fly that long with no ability to keep busy was just crazy! And the snacks... almonds or biscotti. That's it. Air travel has gone down and down in quality but this was the worst overall experience yet! It will be the last time we fly United again.

Cancelled my flight reservation without informing me. Went down hill from there. Refused reinstate my ticket, lied to me, hung up on me, and cost me 31/2 hours on the phone trying to get a flight. Had to fly out of Austin instead of Houston, a two plane flight with layover instead of direct flight, with $400 increased price and I had to get a $235 hotel room and an additional flight to Austin to get my vehicle. I should sue!

So we flew back from Europe but we upgraded our seats before we did so to have extra foot and legroom. Wife and daughter get exit row seats on both sides of plane, I get the middle bulkhead seat in the middle section. Guy my size on the left, woman with baby on the right. Her husband and other family members are on the right section. Not even an hour after takeoff for our 10+ hour flight, the stewardess comes by and literally bolts a bassinet to the wall in front of me where it stays for the next 8+ hours. WTF! Now I can't even stand up to stretch or go take a pss, can't really stretch my legs while seated, and the guy next to me has to get up first to let me out whenever I have to goto the lavatory. Of course, the woman can get up whenever she wants but I'm effectively stuck there. And I paid an extra $200+ for a BETTER seat? I say again, WTF!!! United should be paying me to have taken that seat and then inconvenienced me with installing the bassinet. I'm not even going to get into how they screwed up the reservations so that we had to manually check-in with an agent every time going US to Europe and back. Lufthansa blamed United, United blamed Lufthansa, both disclaimed responsibility. just another PITA to deal with instead of a smooth travel experience.

My rating is actually zero but you need to pick one star to do the rating. Hands down the worst airline in the industry. They care about NO ONE.... Money, that's all they care about. Of course they need to make money to stay in business.... But at least fake it... fake that you care about your customers. Flights cancelled, flights delayed, luggage lost, told they can't help you because your ticket is "free" when purchasing the ticket with reward points... no updates, they just keep you waiting or if they do update you, they just tell you what you want to hear and don't follow through with their jobs. The list of terrible service is endless. And this review is in Austin Texas, but I'm talking about ANY United Airlines terminal / service. Maybe the WORST service may be in San Francisco. Never fly on United if you can avoid it.

You guys suck, FYI I did check in my bag and paid money for it, and for another small bag, they charged me 60$ for this ridiculous; I wouldn't recommend this airline; it's better to rent a car and drive to your destination rather than taking this airline!
