This place has been on my bucket list for a while. I had some time to kill before Hot Summer Nights festivities began in the Red River Cultural District, so took a quick walk from Jo's Coffee on Sabine to East 11th. It's located on a cute & quirky up-and-coming street where Austin's famous Franklin BBQ is as well. They are next door neighbors to Radio's Rosewood store, another city landmark. I enjoyed walking through the bookstore to explore all the rooms & book genre options. There's a good selection of fiction books, I wish there were more nonfiction/career related ones. I ended up sitting at one of the small tables near the entrance with a view of the bar/service area. I read bits of one book, and later purchased two rings from their "gifts" table. Sadly, one of the flowers has already fallen off one of the rings so I'll have to self-repair it. I would love to come back for an author event and also to purchase actual books!

I was in a little book crawl with my niece and Vintage bookstore was stop number #2. What I loved about the place immediately is that the country as a whole needs more beer/wine bookstores. It would make life a better place. So I want to first and foremost say thank you. The store has a wonderful selection of fiction books and even blind date with a book based on your zodiac sign. They also have Sub sections where each room has a genre and I loved how it makes you feel like you are chilling at someones cozy home with a vast library. You can easily spend hours just browsing through the books that they have. Now, the only downside is the very short selection of kid's books. My niece was not able to find a book for her. But to be fair, it is in fact a wine bar and a bookstore so it may not be suitable to bring my niece at night time. So that's on me. But, I am glad they have a short section to begin with, in case someone wants to purchase a gift for a little one. Apparently, according to another yelper. They also had an upstairs room. Ah I wish I knew that. I would have gone. I do want to come back with a friend in the future and get very tipsy so I can buy a bunch of books. Good times.

The store has a great location, they have a good selection of wines, and few other options including non-alcoholic drinks. Sometimes they host live music and other fun events. I love the interior and especially the art they have. The book selection is rather modest, and I don't often find much for myself. But I like coming here for the "vibes."

These are my new found interest. This place has the perfect vintage vibe as the name suggests. Lots of reading rooms and each is well decorated with furniture and wall decor. It has two levels and the entire building is theirs. Perfect for book lovers and students. This place also has a cafe within, restrooms and a gift store that sells a lot of things including bookmarks, pens etc., I started going here every week thereafter.

Vintage is one of my favorite spots in our neighborhood. It's just about a five minute walk from our apartment. It's like leaving our living room to go to another comfy living room but with more wine and books than I have at home. This is Austin's first independent wine and book shop. That's rad. I'm all about supporting small, locally-owned businesses as much as humanly possible. They've got a book club that I'm thinking about checking out. The decor is really thoughtfully put together and each room has a name like the study, parlor, and so on. The wine offerings pair nicely with literally every book they have. It's a relaxing space perfect for unwinding with a good book and a glass of vino.

Travel back in time, just like how your favorite books take you. One such place is Vintage Bookstore on 11th street. Went here for a peaceful book retreat on a Sunday and I got a parking right outside the store. The store was bubbling with vintage aesthetics. Wallpapers, furniture, victorian mirrors, etc. made us go to the Victorian era. The book collection was amazing and my favorites were the history & fiction. They are two storied and they have enough seating and private rooms. Loved the cafe and their pairing with the books. Also, a lot of gift items like bookmarks for sale. Must visit for book-lovers!

This was my first time here. When we arrived, there was a musician performing, and the main room was packed. After he finished, there was more area to explore. In addition to the main room, there are small rooms off of it with additional book selections, all divided by genres. I was a little disappointed in the small amount of science fiction, but the fantasy selection made up for it for me. I had a glass of Forls Gerwurztraminer [Rogue Valley, OR] while I browsed. It was refreshing and lightly sweet. Of course I left with a new book and a new sticker to add to my collection. Definitely a fun, chill place to visit on a Friday night. And the bartenders were very friendly.

My husband and I love this spot. It's a bookstore and bar. What could be better? It has intimate rooms with antique furniture, local artwork, and background music that adds to the ambiance without overpowering your conversation. There is a selection of wine, beer and cocktails. This is a must stop on an Austin trip!!

Very pretty place with historic charm. Lots of books, and many rooms to sit and preview your next favorite book. They have a terrific wine selection. Prices are high(IMHO), but I bet the rent is high in this area too. I found a social mixer was being hosted here, so I thought, "why not? I'm single. I like books and wine, and I get to check out a place that's new to me". Courteous bartenders, and a chill vibe. Check it out. Cheers.
