Went to a Secret Disco event here. I'm not sure how much the below factors are up to the event planners, or the actual venue. Pros: -Sound was not bad, cool lasers. -Staff were so cool and kind, yet responsible. -Intimate venue. Cons: -SO. INCREDIBLY HOT. Like a Sauna. I don't really know if more can be done for ventilation here? -$40 cover, and then 25$ of a light crown - felt like a crash grab.

I was going to buy tix for an upcoming comedy show. Tix totaled at $60. Cool Service charge=$8 faculty fee=$14 A 36% price hike for bs charges? No thanks. I'll just go to one of the myriad of other clubs in town...

We went for Bingo Loco, which was a lot of fun, but holy crap I have never been so disappointed in a bar in my entire life. I can not believe I wasted money and calories on literal sugar water. Do yourself a favor and stuff some flasks in your bra. Also, the bathrooms were disgusting and the whole vibe of the place was just nasty.

Paid $100 for a comedy show to get sat in an upstairs area where the tables were set up to watch the show on a TV. Couldn't even see the stage. Don't go here for big shows, and if you do, go early so they don't stick you upstairs on the back wall. They really shouldn't even sit people up there unless they are in the front where they can see the stage or it's a total waste of money. They literally advertise that the stage is visible from all seats in their description on here. What a joke.

Went for a comedy show post pandemic and it may be unfair to measure ATX comedy against CHI/NYC, but we didn't see even one memorable act. It was hard to order drinks; we did book a table in advance. Standing in line made no sense. The night we were there the acoustics weren't great either, I've got to imagine it's better usually.

I went to a comedy review there last night but there wasn't much to laugh about. Where we were sitting the acoustics were awful. It was to the right of the stage and the speakers were pointed away from us. You could hear hear about a third of what was said. And the sad fact was the comics they presented just weren't very funny. And the metal seats were quite uncomfortable. Towards the end I was praying that the next comic was the last one and was grateful when it was finally over!

I was there with a group of six. Up to the point when we walked out they had seven different comedians and out of the first six one was mildly funny. The seventh one came out and started yelling at the audience telling them they were losers for not laughing. One patron said to tell a joke then and he flew off the handle. We got up to leave with about the half of the audience and an eight comedian came on stage and bear hugged him trying to get him off stage. I asked the bartender what was his deal and the bartender said he's from Philadelphia so that's the way he is. Funny thing was they locked up our cell phones so we couldn't record any of the acts and now I know why.

Ladies this is your warning....... The bathrooms are disgusting. I went to this establishment last night for Bingo Loco and arrived at 6:30 when the doors opened and the bathrooms were already gross. Worst I've experienced. The toilets have mold growing in them so that tells you how long it has been since they had been scrubbed. Toilets leaking and floors covered in standing water. 4 stalls... 1 unusable , 1 with no door and the other two the locks were missing. All 4 you will be standing in toilet water/ urine.... Only one soap dispenser had soap and no paper towels. I will never return to this establishment. This is all that was discussed in the bathroom by all the women.

We came to the Vulcan Gas Company to see Ryan Sickler perform on Friday night, September 2nd, & had a great time. Vulcan is located on 6th St in Austin right in the middle of where all the actions at. Depending on the show, you may need to secure your phone & smart watches in a bag they have you hold onto until after the show is over with, at which time they unlock it. They do shared waiting here, I'd guess maybe 6 or so people on staff to help you out with getting drink orders to you. We were checked on often, so you have no lack of needing stuff, staff is always around. They have an upper level here, and lower level with low tops, & high tops. Great place to see a comedy show, stage is close to all seats in a sense.
