AD lead the tour like he was introducing us to an old friend, with the background of how the city became what it is today (1885 to current). Also some great suggestions on what to eat/do. In my adventures I've been in 50+ tours (walking, food, kayak, etc.) - and this one was one the best. Go ahead buy this- you will thank yourself later.

I went on a ghost tour it was a fun way to see different places in Austin plus some of the history. The tour started at the speakeasy bar and went to a few parts in town. Fun stories and a good activity for the evening. Spooky stuff happened! You can easily book everything online.

I really got into tours of my city during Covid so I know that I wanted to take part in one when visiting my buddy in Austin. I had very high expectations and they were met by far. Our tour guide was outstanding and a great storyteller. I also liked how much she adjusted the stories for the whole group and could tell what the group liked and didn't like. The only thing I wished was that there was more inside exploring. What I mean is that we didn't get to go into most of the buildings, but some of that was made up by the awesome seating and storytelling in the Driskill hotel! I would highly recommend this tour to others and this tour group overall!

Really wonderful tour with Tyler. So knowledgeable and well paced. Went on the Murder Walk with a full moon above. Read Midnight Assassin by Hollandsworth then visit the locations. They have changed but still a great history lesson. Fun evening.

Booked thru Viator, had a digital ticket. Picked an evening tour, which was great for ghost story telling. Hank was our tour guide. He was so enthusiastic telling the stories of Austin. The Driskill is the highlight and I'm glad I wasn't staying there after hearing the creepy stories. Great balance of walking, humor and goosebumps. Sometimes with it being a Saturday night, the noise of the city made it difficult to hear, but overall we had a great time!

Amazing ghost tour with Tyler! I now know that there was a murder here that I did not know before and the history behind the The Driskill hotel! Would definitely come back again when I'm in Austin, would definitely try going on that murder mystery tour next!

Picture a mid-morning stroll through the streets of downtown Austin with a great cup of coffee in hand. Clearly, you know what gets us moving in the morning. Luckily, the tour start time wasn't too early (10 AM) as we met in downtown Austin in front of a quaint coffee shop. After ordering 2 cups to go, we were ready to join Walking Tours of Austin for a 90 minute guided tour. One of the standout spots we visited was the Driskill Hotel, where we went inside to see its stunning lobby and Christmas decorations. The Driskill is not only one of Austin's grandest hotels it's also considered one of Austin's most haunted spots. It was beautiful but my partner was especially happy to know we wouldn't be staying here on this trip. But who knows, maybe one day we'll decide to live out our ghostbuster dreams? Okay, probably not. My partner can barely tolerate a scary movie trailer let alone a haunted hotel. Morning tours start at $20 per person.
