This Whataburger has very low reviews. I stopped in for lunch at 12:30. It was not too busy but had a steady stream of customers in and out. One thing I do not like about Whataburger is they're priced for drinks. I believe a large is over$3. It was cheaper for me to get a meal than just the burger and a large drink . So I did and threw away the fries away. Wasteful but oh well. The inside was clean foot and tables so that was a good point. I had asked for grilled onions but they did come out with my food. Service was a bit slow but my food tasted good . I would eat here again.

This place is one reason people around the World have heard of Whataburger. Students, professors, staff of the University of Texas routinely satisfy that burger urge here. I was in-between breakfast and lunch. My usual go to at breakfast is the unbeatable " Bob" or breakfast on a bun. It's a bun sized sausage patty, egg, slice of American cheese on a toasted bun. But smaller. So I went with what I assumed was the larger patty melt to hold me till dinner. Excellent choice of meat, and cheese gooeyness sandwiched between two slices of Texas Toast. Nice!

A simple order turned out to be a nightmare. I placed it through Uber eats and ordered a vanilla shake but they delivered a strawberry. I called back to let them know that the order was mixed up in case someone ordered a strawberry and they switched them and the woman on the phone asked me if I was really calling to complain about shakes. I was pretty taken aback because the gall to say that as someone is calling to let you know that you messed up an order is crazy. I told her yeah but clearly you're not the one to talk to so I would be coming soon to talk to the manager. When I walked in I brought my bag that had my receipt and the strawberry shake and when I told the woman at the front to speak to a manager she asked me if I was the one that called about the shake. I told her that I didn't want to talk to her and just get the manager. When the manager came up and I explained to her how incredibly rude the woman was she offered to fix the mistake which is totally okay. I wasn't going to cause a problem or a scene. I wanted to let them know that someone else may have the wrong order and that I just wanted the correct one. totally unbelievable

Sometimes it is all about the service. Ordered curbside pick up. Online app said order would be out in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later order finally came and it was not hot, but warm like it had been sitting there while the workers inside played rocks scissors paper for who would have to go out into the 105 degree heat and deliver my order. The fries were hard and dry like they had been sitting under the heat lamp for a while. Next time I'm just picking it up inside.

As someone who worked in a fast paced food service environment I really like giving places the benefit of the doubt but... A few months ago my friends took me (the non-Texan) to try Whataburger and we went through the drive thru. I actually liked the spicy chicken sandwich but the shake was not anything to write home about. What was crazy to me was how damn long that drive thru took.. the carbon emissions have got to be INSANE. It should not take over 20 minutes for three cars! Tonight, in the midst of a 2am wave hunger while studying, my roommate and I ordered Uber Eats from this Whataburger as it was the only place still open. The only things we got that didn't come screwed up were our sides - my pre-packaged apples and her fries. Our soda orders were correct; however, they tasted absolutely terrible. Not sure if the carbonation machine was broken or what was going on but my roommate couldn't even drink her Dr. Pepper because it tasted that bad. Both sodas were extremely watered down or something funky. My Sprite wasn't really Spriting the way Sprite is supposed to Sprite but it was at least bearable. The actual main meals we ordered... both wrong. Her order had lettuce on it which, normally, I would see as an honest mistake but with the lack of quality control on every other aspect of the order - it's getting mentioned here. My main meal could not have been more wrong. I ordered spicy chicken and got just two patties and some cheese on bread. I don't eat burgers but it's not like they could fix a delivered sandwich from an Uber Eats order or whatever so I had to power through. I wasn't even graced with some tomatoes or something. Just patties and cheese. Literally what do they do in there? Unless it's the only place open, you're better off spending your $12+ at P Terry's on MLK. They have better service and better food.

Whatsburger was okay. Burger was a little dry and not as flavorful as i would have liked. Reminded me of mcdonalds a bit but less salty. Service was good. Better menu options than in n out but burger is just not as good. I wouldn't care to come back here. I prefer p terrys or in n outs burgers! Juicier and more flavorful.

I placed a order yesterday online April 3rd, 2024. My order was Kion Kindle (online order) messed up and my meat was cold. I was upset with the service. I'm here again tonight April 4th, 2024 at 02:18. I place my order at 02:03 on the Kiosk. I am wait too long and there are people in bobble complaining about their burger being mess up, and they are not listening to the customer to adjust their mistakes made on their burger.

Open; thirsty customers beware. Despite what the page says, this location is not currently "temporarily closed." It is open for indoor dining and drive through. On my way to work this morning, I was overwhelmed by a powerful thirst, and so I pulled into the drive thru and ordered a large lemonade and a large water. See the photo of what I was given. Not only is the water not a large, I was charged $1.69 for it, and they rang it up as a kid's coke. I can understand charging me for the cost of the cup, but $1.69 for tap water! Not cool. The lemonade is minute maid lite, which is ok but not amazing. I regret not going slightly more out of my way for a fresh squeezed lemonade from Chick-fil-A or PTerry's.

Worst location I've been been to. Awful customer service. This place always takes way to long even though it's not packed and they aren't understaffed. I ALWAYS have problems at this location. They're better off closing the location and selling it for money.
