This is a basic, no-frills diner. The food was very good - especially the banana nut pancakes. Service was friendly and prompt. Maybe it's not as fancy as some newer establishments, but it's good reliable diner fare at reasonable prices. I'll be back.

Was in a bind at work and did not want to pay for over priced delivery at 7:30am. Was able to order for myself and a coworker and they picked up within 15mins. He wanted a lunch entree and they were open to making during breakfast hours. I can't speak much on the ambiance because I didn't go inside. But the service on the phone and food was great! Glad to have another option for cooked instead of fast food. Will be trying more items soon

We were fairly close. Decided that it was cute from the photos. Stopped on a Saturday morning. Fairly busy. Fast services. Classic diner. Nothing fancy and everything was to the point. My eggs were cooked perfectly. Loved the crispy bacon. Servings were great for the cost. The grits that came with my husbands was an entire bowl most places. Not pictured were the biscuits or bagel. Biscuits were nice and flaky. The bagel was decent. Not a New York one of course. But not sad like most Texas ones would be. The waitress was polite. Made sure to offer plenty of options.

Part of my primary reTIREDment plan has been to visit our adult children and help out when possible. SO, we have temporarily re-located from our home in the "¡Hidden Gem of the World, Crossroads of North America, anchored by El Paso, Cd. Juárez y Las Cruces!" to HoustonTX-USA where we can give our most favorite #1 grandchildren undivided attention, as well as being closer to our daughter in Austin. One if my personal favorite activities is cycling, and my most favorite morning-only drink is CAFFEINATED COFFEE! Since residing here, I've become quite familiar with numerous shops offering the stimulating liquid (which seems to be just about everywhere catering to customers!). I was intrigued by "Bellaire Coffee" and had to stop. Turns out, it is a traditional cafe, open (M-Sa, 06:00-14:00; Su, 07:00-13:00), but for me are its Greek roots, very symbolic of the many different immigrants who made Texas in the past/present/future. This was a friendly albeit busy eatery, mostly filled with locals both meeting/greeting in an immaculate institution of excellent food! It took me a short while looking over the menu before I finally chose a Florentine omelette with grits/wheat toast and a never-empty cup of coffee. It was simply a delightful experience, all for less than $20usd (major cards accepted). I definitely recommend BELLAIRE COFFEE; it has my coveted "¡Wheel of Approval!"

There are plenty of reasons to love Bellaire Coffee Shop, which is one of my preferred destinations for diner-style breakfast. The vibe here is old school and simple, the prices are relatively affordable, and the service is always on point. The food has been consistent and gets a thumbs up from me each time. The place is narrow and easily gets lost in the strip mall setup, but the place is bustling with regulars almost every morning. The current owner is Greek and is here by way of NYC, which also gets major bonus points. They have an open kitchen where the food prep is all out in the open for all to see. I'm a sucker for their crispy hashbrowns, which are crispy and oily, likely caked in butter. They go well with their corned beef hash and any of the omelettes, all of which are definitely tasty. I'm not terribly fond of the waffles or pancakes, but I do think their grits and country fried steak are underrated. Sandwiches / burgers make up a big part of their lunch menu, but I've still not ventured from my love of breakfast to try any (#1). They close at 2pm daily and at 1pm on Sundays. I would recommend coming here at least by noon to avoid the rush or super early when they first open at 6AM. I would consider this an ideal spot for a casual breakfast for solo dining or in small groups. ___________ (#1) Yet. It's only a matter of time.

We came in just before closing time on a Sunday and it was great. The service was really good and they were happy to have us and did not rush us at all. The restaurant was very clean and the food was delicious. I got the He man breakfast- it was plenty! My kids got the chicken fried steak and hashbrowns and eggs. They ate it all and had nothing but good things to say. My wife got the gyro omelette and she was stuffed! Definitely a great place to come for breakfast or lunch!
