I can't get back to Blood Brothers fast enough! I don't know what took me so long to try it out! It's been on my list for years. (But, Houston has so many fabulous places to eat!) We had brisket (delish), brisket fried rice (nice and smoky - could use a smidge more seasoning, but that'snot a deal breaker), jalapeño creamed corn (yummy, creamy - not spicy), collard greens (so good), chopped brisket sandwich (amazing) and fried gochujang kimchi egg rolls (really good).

Came here on a Friday night and was seated right away. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful, which made for a nice start to the meal. We ordered the smoked brisket & gai lan chow fun, wings (with sauce on the side), the smoked pho-rub beef belly banh mi, and the sleaze ball. Portions were moderate -- not huge, but fair for the price. The food overall was just okay. My favorite was definitely the smoked brisket & gai lan chow fun -- really tasty and well-balanced. The wings were decent, though the skin was really dry and tough, even though the meat inside stayed juicy. The smoked pho-rub beef belly banh mi was a bit too fatty for my liking, and the sleaze ball, which I was most excited to try, ended up being pretty flavorless. The plaza has a parking lot, but the lines are faded and narrow, and people seem to park however they want -- so be prepared for that. Overall, I'd come back to try their BBQ meats by the pound, but I'd probably skip the rest of the dishes next time.

My husband and I went for dinner last night and it was very disappointing. We were seated right away but never received menus or any attention from our server. The only waitress we saw--who turned out to be ours--focused entirely on another table, even sitting down to chat with them, while completely ignoring us. After ten minutes, she finally brought water but still didn't greet us or attempt to take our order. Another ten minutes passed with no acknowledgment, so we ended up leaving our table and moving to the bar. We ordered brisket nachos - no brisket nachos We ordered mac & cheese - no mac and cheese We ordered brisket - no brisket We ordered berry cobbler - no cobbler We ordered turkey - no turkey We ordered a wild child - no wild child We did get... fried ribs - pretty good brussel sprouts - good but salty banana pudding - tasted old, not good at all Lastly, not only did they not have a lot of items, but they offered no suggestions or replacements. For example: We're out of brisket but we can so pulled pork nachos. OR...Unfortunately we're out of cobbler but we do have carrot cake, etc

I went again and ordered the guava glazed pork ribs (delicious), jalapeño cheddar sausage (good), and jalapeño coleslaw (good).

Another MICHELIN-Guide Texas BBQ joint had us smacking our lips and licking our fingers. We were excited to dive into their bold Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean-infused flavors. Blood Bros BBQ definitely brings Asian soul to their cooking -- the gochujang-glazed ribs were outstanding, and the jalapeño cheddar sausage might be the best I've had anywhere. The service was friendly and efficient, even with a steady crowd rolling through. The vibe of the place feels casual, lively, and filled with the smoky aroma of serious BBQ. I'll definitely be back. Came here for the first time with my co workers on a Sunday afternoon. Pretty well known spot. A unique BBQ location in a strip center. Which means lots of parking since it's a shared lot, which was is always great. There were customers, but it was not crowded like some bbq spots. Service - was pretty fast, we were able to order right away, and wait for the food at the table. No wait time to order, so I appreciated that. Food- we ordered family style. We decided on: shells and cheese (pretty solid) brisket rice (tasty and has a kick) ribs (were good) brisket nachos (the cheese is very thin would be better if it was thicker like queso or shredded cheese..seems like they use the shells and cheese sauce for this as maybe cost savings, plus the portion of toppings to chips werent even to me, likely wouldn't do this again) pork belly burnt ends (was too grizzly almost no edible meat to me, the sauce was good) chicken cesar salad (the chicken in this was a bit dry) The meal had some hits and misses. But overall I appreciate enjoying some BBQ, as I understand and respect the time and effort that goes in to making TX BBQ.

Why only 2 stars? Because a 5 star rating is a layup for this place. 2 stars is a choice. We started coming here in 2018 when they opened. Was bringing neighbors and family when they visited from out of town. I considered them the Houston kings of craft bbq. One of the jewels in the crown was the peach habanero pork belly burnt ends. Amazing! What I got today was embarrassing. Before they were juicy nuggets that dreams are made of. Now...Fried, dried up, some sauce dripped on it? Just plain terrible. I was more disappointed in the product than realizing that I was short 1 order. The other items were still good. Sides, great! Thai green curry egg rolls, great! Brisket & gai lan chow fun, yummy. Come on "Bros", you're capable of so much better.

Had to try this place now that it's on the Michelin guide! A line was formed a little bit before 11 am opening time but it wasn't that long. Could probably get a table easily if you come around 11-12. The menu availability changes a little based on the day of the week. When you walk up to the counter, you first order sides and kitchen specialty items, then order meat which gets sliced immediately. The pork belly burnt ends were probably my favorite- we got the gochujang flavor and it was a nice fusion of flavors! More reminiscent of Asian style pork belly than classic BBQ. It was tender and flavorful. Brisket was just ok- very fatty in the middle portion, end pieces were more dry. The fatty pieces were almost too greasy, I had to mix it in with the rice. I actually preferred the brisket fried rice because the richness got absorbed a bit by the rice and the pepperiness of the brisket gets toned down. I do like the SWAT sauce that the brisket comes with. Guava glazed pork ribs were actually delish, the glaze is nice and sweet and meat is pretty tender. Would be interested in the other rib flavors on different days. Pho rub beef belly banh mi was nice, the meat was smoky and the banh mi toppings made for a nice flavor combo. Overall, the prices are a bit high ($22-24 per lb for the meats) but seem on par with other well known BBQ spots in the city. I was sad that they were out of the sleaze balls. Would be more interested to try the less traditional menu items. Glad that there's a parking lot!

We dropped by on Saturday around noon, eager to check out this Asian-BBQ fusion joint that's featured in Houston's Michelin Guide. There were still plenty of seats available then. However, the line did start to build up by the time we left at around 1 pm. The interior is modern and clean, with indoor and some outdoor seating. The signature brisket was ok but not among the best we had - it was a touch too dry. We actually preferred the version from Brisket & Rice (4/5) The brisket came with their proprietary SWAT sauce and 34 sauce. The SWAT sauce has a spicy kick to it. The 34 sauce was milder but tasted more flavorful. We also tried the Gochujang Glazed Pork Ribs. This was certainly more interesting, and I think we preferred this over the brisket. (5/5) The chow fun with brisket was good, but it was quite oily, and portions were small. (4/5) The fried bao buns were also another interesting item. The fried bao buns were tasty, but they're pretty small. (4/5) You could also ask for slices of bread, which is complimentary. There are plenty of other interesting items on the menu that we didn't get to try yet, such as the brisket fried rice, sleaze balls, and the pork belly burnt ends. Maybe next time!

I have wanted to try this place for some time. Ordered the pattie duke, terry o toole, strawberry cake, kale strawberry salad and the brisket fried rice. I was extremely underwhelmed for the price. The strawberry in the salad was tiny. Mostly kale. My husband asked for his pattie duke to be medium it was well done. He said the meat was hard due to it. The turkey sandwich was decent. I did expect more turkey. The fried rice was flavorful and unique.
