It just keeps getting better. The more I eat at other sushi restaurants, the more I realize how much value Mori Ichi offers. The service, even when ordering take out like I did during my most recent visit, is great. The servers are friendly and even encourage you to take a seat and offer a drink if the food isn't quite ready when you arrive. We ordered over the phone and received our food 15-20 minutes after making the phone call on a Monday evening. The fish is consistently fresh and the portions are generous. I always order the Sushi Combo B because it has a bit of everything I like--generous, fresh, well formed nigiri, spider roll (my favorite), california roll, and miso soup. The chef's choice nigiri always seems to have salmon, tuna, and yellowtail but the other four pieces rotate and vary slightly. When we arrived it wasn't busy, but then again it was 6pm on a Monday. The restaurant itself is kept quite clean and it's a tad quiet with no music playing. I'm a regular here and I don't plan on frequenting any other sushi restaurant until I find something that can offer the same quality and quantity at a similar or better price.

Well, apparently, this is possibly a Taiwanese-owned sushi place because most of the waitresses spoken Mandarin with a Taiwanese accent. Ambience: It's a little noisy and crowded. Lighting is bright. I'm a little neutral to it when I was there. Service: Typical Chinese restaurant service, efficient, fast and utilitarian in every aspect. Feel pampered, no; feel like you're served out of duty, yes. Food: I had a Bento box. Quantity is certainly there, I felt I've eaten a little too much, I should have bagged the leftovers. The 4 pieces of sushi were OK, nothing outstanding. The rest of the Bento were OK, no particular attractive flavor stood out that will have made this place compelling. I guess I have eaten better Bentos in WA state. Summary: It's an average sushi restaurant. Would I come back? Yes, may be, neutral.

Mori Ichi is such a lowkey gem in sugar land. It's a very cozy restaurant tucked into the same plaza as keepers, but I would much prefer Mori Ichi any day. I recently went and ordered a sunday afternoon lunch special (they do lunch specials on weekends isnt that crazy!). My plate came with 1 spider roll, 3 salmon nigiris, and 3 tuna nigiris for only $13!! It was a crazy steal for fresh tuna, insanely good salmon, and a really crunchy and flavorful spider roll. I enjoyed my meal so much that I actually went back a few days later because I was craving the salmon so much. This time, we went for dinner, so we got a roll combo and a sushi bridge. Both were so fresh and featured a wide variety of nigiris. We could have stopped our meal here, but we ran into some friends at the restaurant who recommended the scallop handoll and the shrimp fried rice, so of course we had to order it. So happy I listened! I have found my new go-to handroll in the scallop. I really appreciate how they fill their handolls all the way to the bottom, so that you get fresh fish with every bite. The fried rice was also surprisingly delicious with great umami flavor. The portion was BIG. The servers here are so nice. They really tend to each table and treat you like family.

Came back for seconds, and it just doesn't disappoint. I tried the Mori bridge this time and the lunch combo H again, and the quality is unchanged. The fish cuts are all so thick and fresh and the nigiri's are the same and consistent. I tried the scallop hand roll this time and it was fresh and the seaweed is crispy. I hate when a hand roll is soggy and the seaweed turns soggy but the quality and fish flavor is just so good for the price tag.

Order a tuna roll, spider roll, yellowtail roll, eel roll, and fried vegetable tempura. Plenty of seating and quick service. Fish is pretty fresh. Good family restaurant and plenty of parking.

One of our favorite restaurants in Missouri City! The atmosphere is that of family dining with a friendly, attentive staff and some of the freshest sushi and tastiest warm dishes we ever had at a Japanese bistro. The place is usually crowded and yet they always seat us quickly and serve us well. If I could give this 10 stars - I would. It's a fantastic secret that is a FAR better value than the more popular Sushi chain just down the block... authentic, delicious, extremely well priced, and not to be missed! Try the bento box and taste it all!

I have been coming to this place for years, and never been disappointed. A couple of nights ago I ordered their seafood udon. Besides the udon (always good) and the broth (ditto) the rest (the so called seafood) was disappointing: one piece of rubbery imitation something, one grossly overcooked shrimp, one tasteless squid and piece of chewey something). Definitely I do not recommend this dish. The bento box was good, as always.

Cozy local Japanese cafe with good selections on the menu. Go during lunch or early evening for specials. The food is reliable and consistent - I know that what I order will be delicious and hot each time.

Super good but small Japanese restaurant one of two in this shopping center. We waited 5 minutes instead of an Hour for the other restaurant. Great large menu, and excellent service. we may not ever go back to the other place again. They only have 13 tables of various sizes, mostly booths so I don't know if they reserve, we just go a bit earlier or later on the weekends to avoid prime time.
