Russo’s in Katy was an excellent place to dine. The hospitality was amazing and the food even more so. Highly recommend pastas, tried 4 and all were amazing! Vegetarian pizza was also great.

I have been going to Russo’s New York Pizzeria for years and the food and service is superb.  Some of my favorite dishes are Cauliflower Parmesan, Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken, Buffalo Chicken Cauliflower Pizza, and the Nutella Calzone is to die for.  It is truly amazing dessert.  I have also try the eggplant chips and eggplant rotini was delicious. I have also order the Giant Party Pizza which the kids love. I love to order the Giant Party Pizza for my son’s school events.

We’ve been ordering from Russo’s Italian Restaurant in Katy for years, but after this experience, we’ll never return. My wife placed a takeout order for over $100 of food since we had friends visiting. We live nearby in Firethorne, so I went to pick it up. When I got home, my wife pointed out that the garlic bread was missing. She had specifically asked when placing the order if the entrees came with garlic bread, and the person on the phone confirmed that they did, which has also been our past experience.

No problem—I decided to head back and pick up the missing garlic bread. My wife called the restaurant to let them know, and this is where things went downhill. The person on the phone, who I believe is the owner, insisted he packed the food himself and claimed everything was there. He then asked to speak to me. When I explained that the garlic bread was missing, his response was incredibly rude. He claimed, “talking to us on the phone has caused him to lose a customer,” and then said garlic bread is extra.

I was shocked by his tone and lack of professionalism. The right response would have been to apologize for the mix-up or even politely explain if there was a misunderstanding about their policy. Instead, his attitude was dismissive and confrontational.

When I picked up the order earlier around 5 PM, the restaurant was completely empty, which now makes sense given their poor customer service.

Unfortunately, this experience has completely soured us. After years of ordering from this place, we’ll no longer support them. Terrible customer service like this is unacceptable.

Always great pizza. The Gluten Free pizza tastes amazing and they really mindful about cross contamination. Rem, the waiter was very sweet.
