The Friday night bartender is crabby. I'm a bartender myself and bars don't close until 2 so for someone to do last call at 1:15 is crazy lmao. Me & a friend were playing our last round of pool which only lasted ten minutes between the two of us & she had the nerve to get on to us at 1:30 saying "I told you no more pool" again I am a bartender myself and I would never. It's okay her tip lost. No wonder this bar was dead on a Friday night by midnight they have too crabby of bartenders working here. I recommend younger and prettier bartenders with more energy to last through the night it would probably make this bar a lot more money

This place used to be a fun place to go on Friday nights for Karaoke, but they changed KJ'S and the quality of the sound and music selection has gone way down and the KJ seems unable to keep up with the rotation of singers, I tried it a month ago and it was pretty bad, but the person running it was new so i gave them the benefit of a doubt and waited over a month and came back and it was still bad, the equipment used is just one step up from a home karaoke system.

Claims they are closed. HOWEVER, it's 1:15 AM and there are still about 6 people there just chilling inside... bartender told a customer at the bar, "I don't care, I just want to go home" So idk if they really are closed or what the deal is, l or what that even means... I literally just went in for 2 minutes just to take 2 quick shots before I go home and lay the eff in bed. Last time I will attempt to waste money on the friendly neighborhood bar that I have never been into... Sooooo long story short.. that annoyed me, so here I am.. posting a review and I absolutely hate wasting my time reviewing.. whether good or bad, but seems that's i typically only review when I have a negative experience. Got my nails done at shop next door and was waiting on my ride so I stopped in for a quick shot. Bartender was super friendly and awesome! Customers seemed to all be regulars but very welcoming. Basic dive bar- billiards and darts. Smoking permitted inside. Considering I just stopped in to wait on my ride out of the Texas heat, I think I may have just found a new favorite dive bar! Pretty decent prices- $4.50/Fireball shot

---Dearest Reader, Time heals all wounds, or so they say. I have confidence these words hold true. 510 Bar is a reflection of the forgotten soul. I have met man and woman of every kind, all of which share ache and pain. Never have i seen such resilience of spirit. The karoake reminds me of the Nashville scene in the early 50's. There is a young lady who sings "Fancy", I believe her name is Rebecca, or so the rumor is told. I have only ventured into these lands under the guidance of two braves souls be the name of Brad and Clark. To you my sirs, I owe my life. The pools are fierce, the pours are strong and the smoke will smoother you. To escape is life, but is life an escape? I am no longer sure. One thing I am sure of is 510 Bar as a 5 Star. ---Mitchell

Let me first start out bu sharing this is a smoker bar, and pretty much everyone there is a smoker. If this is not your thing, or you cannot handle a smoke filled bar, best look for another location. I was looking for a local hangout and thought what the heck, but the second hand smoke was a bit much. This is definitely a locals bar. They have Karaoke, at least the night I was there, make sure you specifically ask for a song when you step up so the host adds you to the rotation. The bartender was great, introduced herself and made me feel at home while I was there. The drink process are cheap and overall I had fun; just had to wash my clothes twice and take a long shower after so as to not smell like an ashtray.

Excellent service, drinks are healthy on the side of liquor and the steak is to die for. I highly recommend it if you don't mind dive bars or smoke.

Personally could not stay for more than a shot as the smoking smell is overwhelming. But the people are nice and shot was tasty.
