Not really a Tavern but a good place to pick up something to drink between flights. Flying from Charlotte to San Diego last Thursday with a change planes in Houston. I got off the plane in Terminal B. Only problem was that my next flight was leaving in just about an hour from Terminal E and George Bush Airport is not one that I have much experience with. I was thirsty when I got off the flight in Terminal B but figured I had enough time to grab a bottled water so I popped in and they did sell bottled water. No hard sell to push for something stronger. Very friendly and efficient I had my bottled water and made the trek to find Terminal E while drinking my water. In the end, 2 wrong turns but I made it 3 minutes prior to the start of boarding. Wish the airport would post better signs about how to get to the Skyway Train.

For you who want something cold to drink during layover or just waiting for your flight out of Houston, you can get some drinks and/or ready-made food or snacks before getting on board your plane. This one is located in Terminal B around Gate B83. Nothing really extraordinary about this place. Service was just OK. Server was not too friendly, but to be fair if I were working in an airport terminal, I might not be too excited about it. It's just a job that pays the bill was the impression I got. It's an OK venue to kill some time while you are waiting for your flight.

Airport cocktails can be rather hit and miss, and this particular watering hole misses the mark when it comes to the classic Manhattan. This place was jammed full when I arrived, so the wait was understandable. To his credit, the lone bartender knew exactly where I was in the order of folks who needed to order. He was friendly and fast. Unfortunately the drink was both over priced (almost $17 for a Woodford Manhattan) and tasted pretty bad. I wish I knew what went wrong, but it tasted as bitter as can be and watered down at the same time. No bueno. For beers they only had Bud Lite on tap. Everything else was bottles or cans. No thanks. I don't think I'll be stopping into this spot again.

Tiny, tiny, tiny place at the end of the terminal. But nice selection (variety, not total number) of beers and has spirits as well (tho I didn't try those) Prompt and courteous service. I'd buy there again!
