First time utilizing the Centurion Lounge at IAH. It's buried in Terminal D but if you have a flight in terminal c it's a brief 10-15 minute walk. Caution: you only have ten minutes to get here once you receive the text. I barely made it as I was at gate C3. I don't realize you could wait in front of the lounge but if you have nothing else to do that's a possibility. I got tired of waiting during the govt shutdown so went for a walk when I got the text. Overall it took about 1 hour. Checkin was easy. The food was decent, on par with other Amex lounges I've been to. The bar is always nice and there was WiFi and plenty of seating available.

The Centurion club is a benefit of having the American Express Platinum card. If you are willing to pony up (as of 2023) $695 a year annual fee. This club is available for free. So if you are looking at this club you must have the platinum Amex. Other than being extremely popular with seasoned travelers, the club is an oasis in many major airports. Free quality food, free wifi, an escape from the populous, and free drinks, make this a road warrior's goto place! I consider it two notches above the regular airline lounges. Obviously since I do carry the platinum card. A must have if you fly more than once every month

Lounge itself Needs a refurbish or a location change. The older lounges have been refurbished, expanded or both. The menu has to be changed as well. For the past 4 years, a chicken dish that is really bland is still on the menu Current staff is not as friendly, Sunday noon time. I requested for service and was greeted with a shift change response Quite disappointed at this time

This lounge is always full, but get in the virtue line and you'll get a code when they are ready for you. Standard hot food bar with cookies for dessert. Seating is really hit or miss, but if you can get a seat by the bar or at the tables near the bar, someone will come take your drink order. Overall a standard Centurion lounge.

Gotta show love to my hometown Centurion Lounge. The staff is always busting their tails to turn tables, sling drinks, refill hot foods... Use your Amex app to get on the waitlist (if there is one, which is almost-always the case these days).

One of the best things about the AMEX platinum cards are the Centurian lounges! They are great and a money saver when traveling with the family and this has great healthy food options , full bar, great coffee and clean restrooms. Enjoyed a light salad with green goddess dressing and a little relaxation pre flight and post work meeting! Such a great option for travel!

There will most likely be a wait when you get here. If you can recommend getting in line on the app vs in person. We got in after about 15-20 minutes, and it was extremely crowded and congested. We found very seating and took what we could. I was there during lunch time and the food was actually pretty delicious. I got some Greek style chicken with white rice and green beans. They also had a salad bar, which I didn't try but my dad enjoyed. I was surprised they only had chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Other lounges I've been to have a had a dessert bar or at least a couple options. This was my first time at the centurion lounge. I went as my dad's guest and he had to pay $50. This was a pretty ordinary lounge and wasn't anything special here. Not worth the $50 for an additional guest. I've heard other centurion lounges are much nicer, but the Houston one isn't all that great.

Tiny. Overcrowded. A wait of more than 20 minutes to get in. Very disappointing. Not really worth the money, especially if you often plan to use the IAH club.

It's what you'd expect from an American Express Lounge. The staff is professional, polite, and efficient, and the decor elegant. I liked the photographs throughout the lounge. Now, the main reason for me awarding 5 stars is that THIS location happened to have a poached pear & wine dessert created by Houston chef, Justin Yu, and it was amazing! Sadly, another AMEX lounge I stopped into in another city's airport during my travels did not have this awesome dessert, nor anything comparable.

This lounge is on the small side, but I was able to find a seat with no problems. The staff are very friendly and attentive. They also had very delicious French toast. I found out they have a meditation room and a sleep room. I didn't use either, but a nice addition!
