Art Club describes itself as "a cross between a museum and a night club" and I would definitely agree. My friend and I went back in June for their DJ Night series that happens every Friday from 10p-3a. The DJs that played that night were Jake Gatewood and Neon Indian. I purchased tickets online the week of the event. The prices are dynamic and increase closer to the event date. I did notice a price increase day of the event so if there's a DJ that you want to see, I would recommend purchasing tickets sooner than later. We opted for VIP tickets which was totally worth it. With VIP, you get a separate expedited entry, a tumbler that allows you to take your drink with you to the exhibits, and you have access to all of the exhibits in the museum. I was able to park on the street a few blocks away. The night that we went, there was a concert at 713 Music Hall so the parking lot at POST was pretty full. They recommend parking in the Main Lot off of Bagby. Art Club ticket holders are able to get discounted parking. Just show your ticket to the parking attendant upon entry. My friend and I arrived around 10 pm and the GA line was so long. We were able to skip the line and get in immediately. The dance floor was empty and there wasn't a line at the bar. That quickly changed as the night went on. By the time we left around 1 am, the dance floor was packed. The bar menu wasn't as extensive as I would have liked. They had one specialty cocktail and it was made in large batches. I ordered a G+T and realized that the bartender gave me diet tonic which I don't care for. When I went back for a second drink, I ordered a gin and ginger ale and it was better. The art exhibits were really cool! You can spend as much time in the exhibits as you would like. My favorite was the infinity room. It's large and just really cool visually. We spent more time in the exhibits than on the dance floor. They also had a smaller room with a second DJ. That room wasn't as packed which was nice. There were a few vendors near the bar selling all sorts of items. I don't know what the experience is like during the day, but the vibe at night was super cool. They have DJs booked through the rest of the year and I'm considering going back because I had a blast!

If you're looking for a fun date night idea that is a little bit of science and a lot a bit of art, this is the spot. Such a neat immersive art experience that was amazing to see. Multiple rooms (I was too amazed by each one to keep count) that each had a different experience centered around art. Unfortunately a couple of the rooms were down for repairs, but this just gives me a reason to go back! Do yourself a favor, pay extra for the infinity room.

Went to Art Club at POST Houston on a Thursday night with a friend to catch HoneyLuv, and wow--what a night. The show was great, the energy was high, and the crowd was fully tapped into the vibe. If you're into good music and even better ambiance, this spot delivers. But honestly, as much as I came for the music, I could've stayed in the art exhibits for hours. They were incredibly enticing--beautiful, immersive, and somehow calming despite the buzz of everything going on outside the space. It felt like stepping into another world right in the middle of the party. We opted for the ticket upgrade that included access to the exhibits, and I'd 100% recommend it. The small upcharge also comes with a cup, so you can bring your drink into the gallery space, which was a nice bonus. All in all, Art Club blends music, art, and atmosphere in a way that's hard to beat. Whether you're there for the DJ or the installations--or both--it's well worth the visit.

Houston is such a vibrant, kinetic city and anyone that says there's nothing to do is a liar. Art Club is a multimedia museum (conveniently located in Post) that'll make you think, laugh, and appreciate the creativity of amazing artists. Whether you want to take cool pictures or tire the kiddos for the drive home, check it out! Discount pricing is also available for students, littles, and seniors.

Art Club is a museum space in the Post Houston, that transitions to a DJ club space on select evenings of the month. I had seen Art Club on instagram, and intrigued with their ambiance and vibe, checked their DJ lineup calendar online and was excited to see that Sam Collins was playing in April. My friend and I purchased regular admission tickets which were reasonably priced (around $30 after taxes) but quickly realized upon arriving that VIP is the way to go. VIP has the added benefit of being able to visit their multiple art installation rooms, all with very different vibes, in addition to the DJ space and with the gift of an Art Club thermal cup. Initially I didn't think that mixing a DJ experience with art exhibits would be worth the extra cost but it definitely was worth it. They do offer upgrade options for an additional charge once you arrive if you decide to change from regular admission to VIP. In terms of the DJ night - this is a cool experience! The acoustics and visuals are on point. They offer a full service bar with drinks that were reasonably priced for a venue (about $10 each). Unfortunately no private bar for VIP but we had no issues with lines. Parking is available at the Post and is $5/hr after the first hour during Monday- Thursday. Parking is slightly more expensive Friday- Sunday. Level 2 EV chargers are also available onsite for FREE (however you do have to pay for the regular parking rates). Overall, really cool experience! Definitely recommend and plan to return!

ART CLUB HTX is such a creative space! The atmosphere is vibrant, and it's the perfect place to connect with fellow artists and art lovers. The energy here is amazing, and you can feel the passion behind every artwork and event. Definitely a must-visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in Houston's art scene!

Went to this on a wknd afternoon on a family outing. It was very expensive at 36pp. We walked through a series of interesting art exhibits featuring light, electronic sound and lasers. Most of it was loud, dark, and quite jarring, really. The exhibits ranged from "that was super cool!" to "meh" to "Wow, interesting." The ones that were cool were really really cool and the ones that were meh were very meh. Unfortunately, 3 of the 10 exhibits were down, which was not posted anywhere and we weren't notified of that before purchasing the tickets. Maybe ask the front desk how many exhibits are down and go on a day when they are all working. The Infinity Room was probably the best btw, really enjoyed that, and you could probably just buy a $7 ticket to that and be happy. I think if you are on a special date, or you just have a block of time where you are looking for some entertainment for a group of teens or adults (I would not bring young children to this) - this is a unique way to spend an hour or so, then grab a meal at Post Market. A trip to the Kinder Museum or Museum of Fine Arts is much better IMO and about the same price. But it's Houston in the summer, and this is an indoor activity that pleases teens, is pretty cool, and eats up an afternoon so thats a plus.
